My qualifications in kitchen and bath design are an important consideration for potential clients—I proudly hold certifications from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and I am a Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP) professional, dedicated to fostering accessibility, comfort, and safety in every home I design. Hailing originally from Germany and having resided in both the beautiful Côte d'Azur and the vibrant city of Paris for six years, my design aesthetic is infused with European flair! I bring a wealth of cultural influences to my work. While my roots may trace back to Europe, my husband and I have proudly made Boulder our home, raising two remarkable daughters amidst the breathtaking beauty of Colorado.

We worked with Ute on our small bathroom. She helped us select a vanity and handled all of the details to her it made and delivered. Although thr vanity was her primary focus on the project she did not hesitate to give us input on related choices. We could be happier with the color, construction, and fit of or new vanity which works great with our existing floor as well!

We had such an amazing experience working with Ute when we remodelled our kitchen at bath. From the initial plan through the build it was an amazing experience. With the initial plan we were able to share our goals and Ute transformed this into a beautiful design that completely re-thought how we use the space. Her knowledge helped guide us for decisions we would not have thought to make in terms of efficient configuration down to the smallest details by truly understanding how we wanted to use the space. She was able to recommend a build partner, which was an added bonus, since they had worked together in the past so the communication was seamless. Our first experience with Ute took place in 2019. We started with a design to transform a mostly non-functional large back hall to a highly functional full bath and laundry area. The project expanded to include a partial remodel of the kitchen to fix a couple of mistakes we made 12 years earlier, and then also included a partial remodel of another bathroom. The results exceeded our expectations, as we now have a very attractive and functional main floor bath and laundry which will enable us to live on one floor should we chose to do so in the future. When my husband gives a tour of the house, he gushes about "his" bathroom with a large shower, heated floor and timeless finishes that Ute helped us chose. Ute is an creative and efficient designer who listened carefully to our initial input and made revisions based on our feedback. When we wanted to find ways to cut costs, she understood and made good changes. Every step was easy. Also, she recommended the contractor who was excellent. We are now embarking on a second project with Ute to update our primary bath. Knowing how well the first design worked out, we are confident that we will get the best outcomes from Ute on this one. We do not hesitate to recommend Ute Vandenberghe.

She spent time with us to really understand what we wanted, and worked with us as we sorted out how best to use our space. She discussed various options we could use, and suggested features in detail that we had not considered. She also reviewed the architect's plans in detail and proposed some minor changes to address structural challenges, and improved the kitchen design and functionality. I generally have a pretty good vision of what I want to do, but no clue on how to execute it. For this, I seek partners who I can work with who are creative, proactive, provide exceptional customer service and are just plain nice to work with! For this project, I teamed with Ute for the design of cabinetry for our entire new construction home. We did the entire kitchen and dining in full custom cabinetry, with a very custom wash, and selected a variety of semi custom cabinets for the rest of the house. Ute helped guide our decisions based upon both cost, and ensuring the cabinets had quality construction. I was impressed when, at the on-site measurement, Ute made several recommendations that improved the design overall; it would have been easy to just measure and leave, but when Ute saw the spaces, her creativity took hold and the result was a better design. Because we were working remotely, Ute is to be commended for her clear and responsive communications. We did much of the design over conference calls that were very productive. I also give her high marks for her prompt replies to emails and phone calls. Working with MANY providers in this construction project, that truly stood out! Ute's enthusiasm was a joy, and I felt that she was really invested in the success of our project. I would definitely recommend her!

We were delighted to find Ute, after having a not-so-great experience at another design firm. Ute really listened to how we would utilize the space in the bathroom that we needed to remodel. She had lots of great ideas and suggestions for making the end result look very professional and finished. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was always on-time and quick to give us bids and return calls/emails with all our questions. She meticulously measured and then did a final measure before ordering to make sure we were all on the same page. She provided us with professional renderings of the space and she even drew on our floor and walls where things would be to make sure that is the exact set up we wanted. We moved into a house we loved with a kitchen I hated. It was dark and had not been updated in 30 years. I am not good at designing or even articulating well what I want, but Ute was able to coax out of me what my priorities and tastes were and she created the most wonderful space. I now love my kitchen. I needed a hard working, functional kitchen that would last a lifetime and she gave me that and so much more. I love all the details and as I prepare food now, I appreciate all the suggestions she made along the way. Ute was a pleasure to work with and has a wonderful eye. I recommend her without any reservations.

We had purchased kitchen cabinets that I was not in love with. I spent some time with Ute and she pulled out counter tops, paint, backsplash and hardware selections that I fell in love with. She certainly has an eye for creating designs that appeal. My new kitchen is warm and inviting and not to mention timeless in the design. We couldn't have done this ourselves. I ended up ordering all the hardware and backsplash through Ute. I have no doubt that if you work with Ute, you will have a finished project that you will love. Thank you Ute!
