We were putting an addition on our house and remodeling the entire first floor. Given we have experience with building and remodeling we felt we could handle it on our own. However, as we closed in on the details, we kept struggling with the layout . Our friends had hired Becky so based on their recommendation, we scheduled a consult and Becky worked with us on a package that would meet our needs. As a friend and an exceptionally talented home designer, it is my pleasure to share my experience working with Becky Corringham and Wysteria Design. Let’s be honest. Style and I do not go together. They never have. In fact, I just got skinny jeans and then mom jeans were a thing. That’s where Becky comes in. She views your space, takes a look around, asks questions about your style preferences, and then does her magic. She finds unique pieces that stretch you out of your comfort zone but look stunning when paired with the design in the room. You don’t like a piece of artwork she picked out? No problem. She’ll find you a different one that you love. For me, it’s lighting. For some reason, I love walking into a room with a light fixture that grabs your attention. Becky learned that about me pretty quickly and has incorporated a unique light in each room that she has designed. And don’t get me started on throw pillows. I had no idea how much they were missing from my life. Becky is the kind of designer who will move three things around on a bookshelf, and it looks 1,000 times better. She can rearrange a room on Chief Architect like nobody’s business allowing you to maximize your living space. She comes prepared to meetings with style boards that will blow your mind and make you feel like you need to buy everything for the room. When wavering on an idea, she can convince you that it’ll look great, and every time, it truly does. And I should know. She’s designed five rooms and a kitchen for us. I have grown to trust that what Becky suggests will always look great. You will get compliments from your friends and family in every room she helps you design. After she touches your home, you won’t be able to stop thinking about the next space you want her to make over. In fact, my husband has most recently said that Becky is currently waitlisted for a couple of years before we engage her in the next project. But don’t worry—I’ll be calling her again. I have a master bath that I have my eye on…

We were fortunate enough to work with Becky and the team when designing our kitchen. We valued the experience so much that we asked for design help throughout the rest of the house as well. Becky is so knowledgeable when it comes to designing a space and really nailed our bathroom remodel. I could tell she put a lot of thought into the design ideas she offered us because she truly listened to the visions my spouse and I had. She has excellent taste and spot on knowledge of materials. There are so many materials offered in a remodel and I never would have known the pros and cons without Becky's guidance. She is always super responsive which is a rare quality. We hired Becky to manage the process of renovating our primary bathroom and to turn one ‘jack and jill’ into a master bath and a guest – no small feat considering the modest footprint of the available space. We had intended to hire Becky to help solely with all of the materials and aesthetic decisions, but when we got a crummy layout plan and a clearly bloated price quote from one of the prominent, well-respected companies in the region, we turned to her for the design itself. Her visualization of the space made perfect sense, and she found creative ways to insure that we weren’t simply splitting one bathroom in half but rather creating two separate, fully functional, comfortable spaces. Becky has a terrific decorating eye and she is ahead of the curve on trends, which helped us avoid some pitfalls that couples like us experience during their first renovation experience when trying to keep the budget in check. With the both of us having jobs and lives that go far beyond the edges of a typical 9-to-5, it was critical to have someone that we could trust to make decisions in our place, to manage the construction team and offer advice, and to generally do the dirty work that we didn’t have the time to do. Becky is not only completely trustworthy and reliable, but a ray of sunshine in a frequently chaotic environment as well. My husband is the CEO of a small business in the arts sector, and we are acutely aware of how important it is to effectively manage money, time, and temperament, and we were consistently impressed with Becky’s skills and talents with both people and the work itself. I am 6 months past my design work with Becky. It was so helpful. Really more than helpful. Her advice was so accurate. It is funny to say picking a light feature is important. But she picked a light that is so perfect. One that every night when I turn it on I love it. Every decision was perfect, countertop color, the table that was built paint color, all perfect, The cost of her work was so minimal compared to what it would have cost if I hadn’t liked what I had picked. Becky is a wonderful interior designer and is a very good listener. She did a great job designing our new master bathroom. She drew up three different options with dimensioned plans, elevations and 3D perspectives. She met with us on three occasions and is very easy to work with. She was creative in capturing our ideas onto paper. She brought us sample pallets for the walls, floors and shower that we really liked. She gave us a great basis of design and we look forward to executing her plans this winter. We look forward to working with her again.

We were so lucky to find Becky to design our new kitchen. The remodel involved a complete teardown and rearrangement of cabinets and appliances, as well as moving a wall. With clever use of space, Becky turned our tiny, cramped and dark kitchen it into a beautiful, roomy, open and bright kitchen. It is also practical and easy to use, with lots more storage space. I cannot sing Becky’s praises as a design professional (and wizard) enough! We purchased our home a year ago knowing it would need some cosmetic help to make it our dream home – pink and mauve walls everywhere, busy brown and tan granite countertops, dark hardware, copper accents in the entryway and backsplash, and dated light fixtures were definitely not our style! We tasked Becky with working with the existing tan maple cabinets to transform our kitchen into the bright, beachy feel we were looking for, along with coming up with a paint palette for the rest of the house to escape the pink. Becky’s design was nothing we could have ever dreamed up on our own – it was perfect! Her sense and feel for colors and shapes are fantastic, and her ability to mix classic and modern styles seamlessly is impressive. What we loved above all was that she worked with our existing furniture and the cabinetry to completely transform our entire home with some simple paint, countertops, backsplash, hardware, and lighting – it was a minor makeover that morphed our home into our dream home! And on top of her design capabilities, Becky is simply a joy to work with! Her fun spirit, professionalism, and strict attention to detail and project management are everything you’d want in a partner helping you in your home. Becky has been a godsend. I love to decorate but life has me busy with a family, houseful of animals and a full time job. Redoing my living room became a stressful undertaking rather than something I enjoyed doing so I reached out to Becky. She came to my house to understand the level of support I was looking for, went away and one week later, she was back at my house with some incredible concepts including floor plan, color palette, fabrics and furniture recommendations. We hired Becky to help us do a complete master bathroom renovation. The first time I spoke with Becky she was super enthusiastic and even contacted her general contractor (Credible Construction) to see if he could do the job for us. Throughout the process Becky assisted in the layout of the bathroom, hiring people to do specialty work (concrete vanity top, reclaimed wood mirror,etc), paint colors, choosing the vanity and most important keeping me sane throughout the whole process. Becky of Wisteria Design was amazing! Not only was she organized, resourceful, timely, respectful and upfront, her design was spot on! Upon initial design presentation, she had all the costs, options, fabrics, colors and estimated time frames. She was willing to work through potential options without hesitation. I recently had the pleasure of working with Becky on remodeling my kitchen. She was knowledgeable, professional and prompt. She provided me with different options and different price points. She was only concerned that my kitchen would work for me and did not try to lean me toward what might be the newest trend on the market. I'm very practical, so I really appreciated her effort. She also kept me updated along with the contractor on when goods would be arriving, so the installations could be scheduled in a timely manner. Even after her payment was received, which I thought was affordable considering how overwhelmed I would have been doing this on my own, she followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the product and the work. She even followed up with the cabinet company to get a new crayon color to fill in the nail holes because the one sent didn't match perfectly. She went above and beyond to help. She made the remodel a much more pleasant experience than I was anticipating. I would not hesitate to recommend her services.

Becky designed and helped oversee our kitchen remodel. This was a down to the studs, start from scratch project which included incorporating previously unexposed brick work, three large windows, and combined the kitchen and a former eat-in area. My husband and I had lots of new product ideas, but not the confidence of layout, space, and design. Becky had great patience, while also moving us along in the process. She did her homework on unfamiliar materials, made sure we ripped down walls to be certain the brick was worth revealing, guided us to the best color choice for cabinets, and helped us come to consensus. She steered us toward some great suppliers for materials as well. Becky also followed up with us several times after the project was completed.

We recently worked with Becky from Wysteria Design on a full remodel of our master bath. Becky offered great advice, was very responsive, and reasonably priced. She also went out of her way to help coordinate delivery of materials and even picked up some supplies and delivered them without being asked. Her focus on customer service was both noticed and appreciated. The other vendors she recommended were all professional - cabinet distributor, countertops, and glass company. You would be in good hands and we definitely recommend.

Having a large space for a bathroom provided me a lot of potential, but I could not picture what the area should look like. I had never used a designer, but knew that this job would benefit from one. I found Becky via an internet search and she was perfect for the job. Becky has a great sense of style, is creative and takes a personal interest in the customer’s project. One of her greatest skills is her ability to take the customer’s various likes, dislikes and project goals and mold them into a coordinated plan. She created my subconscious vision and brought it to life.: An elegant, unique, visually pleasing and functional space. Becky designed a dormer using CAD to enlarge the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom in our in-law apartment and was able to fit a laundry area in as well. She helped us choose and ordered the kitchen/bathroom cabinetry and granite counter tops. We added a window in the stairwell to bring in more light. Our "tiny house" couldn't have turned out better !! We have never used a designer before and were so glad we choose Becky. She recommended adding knobs to the cabinets- she said "think of it as jewelry for your room". They really made the kitchen POP and the flow of our 760 sq ft apartment is AMAZING . Thanks Becky .

We had a customer that was looking to add a dormer to an In-law apartment to increase the size of the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom. Becky used CAD to give us drawings of the building with new roof lines and new space layout. She designed the layout of the kitchen and bath to include a new laundry room as well. She helped our customer with ordering the new kitchen cabinets and counters, collaborating with them on paint colors throughout, and was able to do all this with the customers living in North Carolina!! Our kitchen needs a major update after 20 years, both functional and aesthetic. We have never worked with a design consultant before, and were initially quite skeptical of the potential value. We were blown away by Becky's work - she spent the time to fully understand our needs and preferences, produced several different designs to meet them [including features and approaches that would never have occurred to us], and did the necessary due diligence and calculations to ensure the prices quoted were as competitive as possible and easy to compare for decision-making. We are still deciding on the way forward [and how to finance it - kitchen remodels are expensive :) ], but we feel much more confident in our planning. We also enjoyed working with Becky on a personal level - she was professional, personable, smart, and responsive.

My husband is very handy so we knew he could do the work. Problem was we didn’t have a design plan. I decided to call a professional. From the initial phone call, I felt I could work with Becky. She asked lots of pertinent questions, and I scheduled a home consultation. The project was a living room in a 30 year old house which hadn’t been redecorated in 20 years. We have views of a lake, so a nautical theme seemed natural. After much discussion, Becky suggested a “nautical shabby chic decor” complete with chandelier and seashells. She mentioned several architectural changes, such as taking down a 3/4 high wall near the stairs and installing a horizontal window over the fireplace. Just these 2 ideas added much-needed light into the room. We added white faux beams to the ceiling, a warm ash hardwood floor, and gorgeous grey walls (not a color I would have considered until I saw her picture board). What I especially liked was that she also helped me choose some wonderful, inexpensive accent pieces - a 4 foot sailboat on a shelf over our piano, cut glass lamps to enhance the chandelier, and a beautiful golden rug. These were found in consignment stores! We found Becky easy to talk to and she had out-of-the-box ideas! She listened to what we told her. She is an excellent communicator, and doesn’t try to talk you into something you are not comfortable with. Becky was reliable and when she says she will call you, she does.
