I write reviews only by exception, and after very serious consideration. I am compelled to write this. Without question, the DXV Modulus is an elegant collection that elevates the space it graces. I was extremely thorough in my search and selection, and quite pleased with the finished look. Unfortunately, the engineering of the finish (Polished Nickel) is sub-par. After 3 months use, wiping each faucet and trim EVERY DAY after each use with a gentle micro-fiber cloth, I still have water stains that won't go away. The use and care manual calls for Windex for tough stains. Don't bother. It does not work. Neither water quality, nor the user can be blamed, because in the same shower space, I have Polished Nickel finish from Kholer, Hansgrohe and a much lesser known brand holding up just fine with much less attention. I would love to know how to effectively clean water stains from the Modulus pieces, without damaging them, so that I can enjoy my DXV pieces for a long time. I strongly urge DXV to improve on their finish quality. These items are to be used in the real world, not sterile, controlled environments after all.
