Felt like I got taken for a ride with JMV.
Here is the process:
(1) Get a quote, but watch out - they claim its a budget only. Meaning its not binding at all and they can change it.
(2) Now they require you to pay thousands of dollars for their drawings (I already paid a designer for drawings!!). This is not optional. If you want them to do anything, to even see what you’re paying for, you have to hand over a sizeable portion of money. Once they have your money, they almost have you trapped. No refunds, all you can do is take the drawings and walk - not that the drawings do you any good elsewhere.
(3) when you are ready to sign off they send you a new quote. Well I guess they messed up the first quote because now it’s substantially higher. They will justify it based on a few changes but the numbers honestly don’t add up. It feels like they pad it heavily because you have little choice but to accept.
At this point you need your project done, and you’re already in for thousands. So your choice is start all over again with big delays, or grin and bear it.
Overall made the experience unpleasant. The installers were lovely and the finished project looked good, but having seen what my family and friends have gotten elsewhere…I think I overpaid.
If you’re thinking of using these guys, I would proceed with caution. My last house, our cabinetshop provided drawings with their quote, and there was no room for confusion!
