Richard is a blast to work with - he came up with design ideas, helped us work through our road blocks, gave us a quality product that is also beautiful, and follows through. He improved upon our original design, researched and added lighting for us, and has helped us troubleshoot since.

Our experience with Richard Goodman from Laguna Bamboo was very positive; he was an absolute pleasure to work with. His craftsmanship and attention to details was top-notch as he is a true artist. His passion for what he does really shines in his work. We absolutely love the bamboo cabinets and layout in our kitchen. It was an ease and pleasure to work with Richard. He designed and built all our bamboo kitchen cabinetry from out of state. We started by sending him our kitchen layout and he estimated the project. Then we worked together on various design options through email exchanges and phone communications which went smoothly. After he drove the cabinets to our home and installed them himself. He also was very accommodating in making adjustments to our design during the remodel process. Our experience with Richard and his work was definitely 5 stars!

I had a deceptively complex small custom shelf job. Mr. Goodman was the only one who had the thickness off bamboo I needed. He agreed to fabricate the shelves at his shop for me. At first I was quite imtimidated by the beautiful, complex and obviously high-end projects he was working on. I shoud not have been. Even though it was a small project, he took extreme care and time to listen to exactly what I wanted and he executed it beautifully. He made sure everything was perfect to the 1/16th of an inch. He is not only a very accomplised artisan but very caring. I would highly recommend him.

Mr. Richard Goodman of Lagunabamboo, Inc. (http://lagunabamboo.com/index.html) built all the cabinets of our newly re-designed kitchen, laundry room and guest bathroom. We discovered Lagunabamboo on the internet and drove up from San Diego to Costa Mesa for a visit, and mostly to see what a bamboo design might look like. We were so impressed with the quality of his work and with the tasteful designs he showed us that we insisted that our designer and our general contractor hire him as an out-of-town cabinet maker. This was a very good call. The final product is spectacular, fitting exceedingly well with the silestone countertops and the cork flooring, and delivered on time and on budget. In particular, we like the clean lines of the cabinet doors and drawers, with thin, flat pulls and handles, which helped transform our 1950’s birch-and-tile kitchen into a 21st century luminous space. Unlike other bamboo construction that we had seen, covered with thick polyurethane, Mr. Goodman’s work highlights the natural beauty of the wood. Laguna Bamboo built and installed beautiful bamboo cabinets in my kitchen and two bathrooms. The design and craftsmanship are excellent. They were done on time and all the people at Laguna Bamboo were a pleasure to work with.

Laguna Bamboo did an absolutely wonderful job on my home office and laundry room. My office is absolutely gorgeous and functional. Richard was professional, responsive and extremely reasonable in pricing. I would not hesitate to use Laguna Bamboo again.

We are currently in the progress of our second project with Laguna Bamboo. They won me over with the first set of cabinets they custom built for the kitchen and guest bath. The beauty of the cabinets transformed the rooms. Their service was impeccable, delivering product and finanlizing installation on time. Their attention to detail is admired and respected. No short cuts. Providing the best results always seemed to be the goal. Richard and his staff are easy to work with, bringing expertise to the table yet listening to our ideas and concerns. A highly professional team from start to finish.

Richard with Laguna Bamboo, exceeded our expectations with our kitchen remodel. He delivered the cabinets a week earlier then expected and kept the project cost at exactly what he quoted. The end result was beautiful. We cannot be happier with our bamboo kitchen and Laguna Bamboo. We will be using Laguna Bamboo for more remodeling projects.
