From our first meeting to job completion, everything received from Molly and Clive of A Kitchen That Works was of the highest quality. The guidance received was immeasurable and exceeded our expectations. We are more than pleased with what we received as a finished product. Money well spent for a quality job. We got a schedule and everything went pretty smooth. It was great knowing when things were going to happen because we were living 22 miles away. Although the scope of the job increased as we went along, everything was completed in a timely manner. One aspect that impressed us was the way everyone treated our property. Things were kept clean and tidy as work was going on and we didn’t have a month of cleanup to do after the job was done. There were some very important things regarding the power and water install that were done exactly as wanted. They were also very careful with our landscaping. One of the biggest things was we did not have to worry about any issues. Molly took care of everything. Molly was on top of materials and subcontractors making sure things were going as planned. Molly and the rest of the AKTW crew were able to assist us through our remodeling journey. We’ve lived in the same house for over thirty years and always loved our kitchen…and after working with Molly and Clive on a remodel…we love it even more! They guided us through all phases of a remodel of our kitchen, pantry and master bath. Working with Molly and Clive of A Kitchen That Works was truly a great experience! After watching numerous network renovation shows, my wife and I were ready to dive into the remodel of our master bathroom and guest bathroom. With this being our first remodel project, we wanted to make sure it was done correctly with three things in mind – utilized quality products and workmanship, functional and efficient use of space, and incorporated our vision and personality. With any project of this nature, the inevitable “additions” were met with patience and accommodation. My wife and I worried about the possibility of damage during the renovation. However, the work areas around the project were a priority for A Kitchen That Works. From our wood floors to our stairway banister, Molly and Clive ensured these areas were safely protected. The subcontractors utilized by A Kitchen That Works were all professional and provided quality workmanship. They showed up at the worksite on time and kept as much debris contained as possible. This was essential as both my wife and I still lived in the home during the renovation process. Whenever a problem arose, Molly pounced on it like it was her own home. Capturing our vision, we now have a master bathroom and guest bathroom which we are truly proud to own and are delighted to use. They fit both our style and needs perfectly. Molly and Clive of AKTW are an incredibly talented design-build team. Our project expanded our tiny kitchen and master suite, remodeled our guest bathroom and replaced our failing deck and septic system. The project also resolved longstanding issues with drainage, plumbing and ducting throughout the house. This was a large and challenging project. Molly’s sense of design is impeccable. She really listened to our desires and presented various options to consider for the layout of our rooms. She sent us on excursions to look at tile and other finishes and provided feedback to ensure everything worked well together. Molly beautifully combined form and function to transform our home far beyond what we could have imagined. Clive provided the leadership and muscle behind the construction (in addition to making some great suggestions for the design). He oversaw an awesome group of subcontractors, who displayed his core values of quality, craftsmanship, creativity, attention to detail, timeliness and tidiness. This doesn’t happen by accident! Both Clive and Molly stepped in to perform construction and oversight tasks as needed to keep the project on track. We always felt they had our best interest in mind. The result is a gorgeous and extremely livable home filled with tons of storage space and light. The improvements have dramatically enhanced our lifestyle and we could not be more pleased!!

We live in a rambler that was built in 1972. The kitchen had been updated and the garage incorporated into the living space in 1990. The cupboards were replaced in the update but the layout remained the same as the original kitchen, galley style. It was very small and not very efficient. The original bathroom had not been updated. In the remodel, we asked Molly to change the layout of our kitchen to open it up to the dining and living room as well as update our bathroom. In the design phase, Molly was very good at listening to our ideas and desires, helping us develop a budget and choosing materials that made us happy. The thing I appreciated most about her was that she was very up front and knowledgeable in helping us to understand what would and would not work in our design and materials due to the current condition of our home and our budget. As for the actual project, we were very impressed by the professionalism and work of our contractor (A Kitchen That Works LLC) and the subcontractors. Everyone was very respectful of our home. Throughout the project, Molly and her crew helped us through the remodel as well as the changes that needed to be done to keep our home up to code and in compliance with current regulations.
