Absolut Kitchens and Renovations

Pleased with outcome but frustrating experience along the way to the final result. Spend over $100k but communication was severely lacking, and Absolut is not really a kitchen expert at all. More of a generalist so you end up being designer and project manager yourself to ensure the details are caught, so may as well save the management markup, which seems to be the priority.

We hired Absolut for a kitchen and two bath reno project in early 2016. They were excellent to deal with providing excellent communication, delivering the project on time/on budget and they delivered an amazing result! We would not hesitate to recommend them to friends/family and would definitely hire them again.

Terrific experience working with Absolute Kitchens and Renovations. From our initial quote to final completion everything went according to plan. Both Dave and Aga were extremely professional and provided good advice and product recommendations. We had new kitchen cabinet fronts installed with new countertops. They seamlessly installed all the new material with the existing cupboards and our kitchen looks fantastic. New sinks, faucets, tile backsplash and a gas cooktop where also installed. In addition, we had new drywall, additional storage and new recessed lighting done in our lower level. Thank you for an excellent job and great communication during our renovation. We engaged Absolut Kitchens & Renovations to completely gut and renovate our main floor bathroom in our 50's era bungalow. Overall we are happy with the result, but attention to detail was certainly not what it should have been. Our Son, who is a student designer submitted the Absolut Team a design plan which articulately outlined the renovation and the specific look we were after. Absolut handled this project efficiently, and professionally. However, key elements at the start of the project were overlooked. ie. a bulk head construction was not plumb and square; thus creating walls and a ceiling for our shower that the tile was not able to be set evenly. The trades were all professional, courteous and endeavored to leave us with a final product we would be happy with, all except the Painter- who acted as if she had a chip on her shoulder when we asked for corrections and to ensure the paint job of the bathroom and all main floor doors were precise, and reflected a quality finish.

It was great working with Dave and Aga from Absolut Kitchens and Renovations. They renovated my bathroom and assisted me with selections and questions along the way. The job was done with minimal mess that typically comes along with a reno project which was much appreciated. The before and after in the appearance of my bathroom is simply amazing.

Absolut Kitchens and Renovations are a fantastic company to trust your renovations with. We have hired them twice in the last two years for different projects. We are very happy with the quality, price, communication, and results. The staff and all contractors were respectful, professional, and did great work. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

We hired Ultimat Kitchens for a major basement Reno. TV. room, bedroom, bathroom and pantry. We found them to be very responsive to our needs and supportive in any concerns through the planning and implementation stages. We now have a beautiful warm basement. However as with any renovation there is always something that needs to be revised. Absolut has been a little slow in communication and responding to these last details.
