We highly recommend Kitchen Art and Anne Waldron!! Our new kitchen is absolutely beautiful – everything we thought and were told it would be, it is. Couldn't be happier. We talked with the 3 premier custom kitchen companies in Richmond and we thankfully settled on Kitchen Art. Top quality and top value. Cabinets were custom made, frameless, soft close, full extension, all the goodies. No particle board, no pine. Pull out cabinets galore. Furniture quality cabinets! Pretty sure we would have paid thousands more elsewhere and gotten less. Anne was extremely easy to work with. She knows the business and is an excellent project manager. Everything came in on budget and on time. Her craftsmen were all outstanding, neat and kept everything clean at all times. This included the very careful dismantling of the existing cabinets, installation of recessed LED lighting and various switches and plugs, the plumbing including a new gas line, the drywall guys, the granite fabricators, the carpenter and the tile people. Her dry wall people actually did a bit more in the ceiling than was called for in the contract, but Anne didn't charge us any additional money.
The total cost of our project approached $50,000, but that included a new dishwasher with wood panel, duel fuel stove, counter-depth refrigerator, built-in micro-wave, built-in cabinet ice maker with wood panel and a built-in beverage center. Our granite is some of the prettiest we've seen and was a bit of an upgrade. We went with subway tiles and a special design above the stove. And Kitchen Art didn't skimp on anything. Top quality sink basins, faucets and a specially crafted exhaust hood, venting and lighting. Beautiful new custom made wine rack with glass doors and led lighting. You simply can't go wrong with Kitchen Art and Anne Waldron – they deliver what they promise and a bit more!!

Thank you so much for the great review Berry's! I am I could help you achieve your dream! Anne Waldron
After interviewing five contractors, we choose Anne Waldron and Kitchen Art for a complete renovation of our kitchen and partial renovation of our bathroom. We could not be more pleased. Anne designed a beautiful kitchen and included elements we had not thought of - the window seat is still one of my favorite things about the kitchen. Not only is Anne a great designer, but her skills as a project leader are impressive. She is on-site everyday which is crucial to keeping the project on schedule and to address any unforeseen problems. For example, removing our existing floor was more challenging then anyone expected but having Anne there kept the project on schedule. The quality of Kitchen Art's cabinets are top of the line and exceeded our expectations. Installation was flawless primarily due to the skill of their carpenter, Bill. It was great experience working with Anne and her team and we look forward to many happy memories in our new kitchen!

We hired Kitchen Art to remodel our kitchen. They exceeded every expectation we had about our new kitchen. The design of our house left few options due to the small square footage. We specifically wanted a double oven and a range top with a nice hood. We had other quotes and designs, but Dayton Leadbetter was the only person able to design our dream kitchen. Everything from the planning to the execution of remodeling the kitchen, was handled with utmost professionalism. We have continued to use Dayton and Kitchen Art on other projects.

Kitchen Art, and specifically Anne Waldron, was responsible for the success achieved when we remodeled our kitchen. Anne was a wonderful listener and offered suggestions/ideas and then listened again. We wanted a "furniture look" to our cabinets and also a classic design that would stand the test of time. I must admit sometimes my ideas are over the top and Anne was very professional and able to pull me back and focus on the importance of simplicity. I love dishes and Anne designed a built in "hutch" that offers a WOW factor when you enter from the family room and my desire for storage and a display area too.
We feel we truly got our money's worth and then some! Anne is a gem!

I hired Kitchen Art to redo my 100 sq ft kitchen. The planning & design phase went well, but the project phase was a nightmare. I left my key for the trades to use, and found it in the lock of my front door one evening. My fiancee and I were blamed for the poor workmanship of the tile team (who laid several tiles unevenly and left 15 plastic spacers sticking out of the grout) because we did the initial floor tear-out. Kitchen Art actually ended up doing the final floor tear-out, but I'm guessing the tile guy was unaware. Each tradesman left some kind of debris (wood scraps, food trash, buckets, appliance boxes, drywall scraps) in the house that didn't get picked up until 4 weeks into the project because there was no project management for 10 days (half of the project) while the GC went on vacation (but didn't transfer any information to anyone at Kitchen Art who could keep an eye on the project). The GC suggested to the electrician that I was lying about the previous functionality of an outlet, but didn't think I could hear from a room away. When I asked to work with the owner because I felt disrespected, he emailed to let me know that he was essentially too busy, but would serve as a point of contact if needed. The project was supposed to conclude within 3 weeks, but took 9. Overall, the design & layout of the kitchen is great, but the details and customer service fell well short of my expectations. I could go on in great detail regarding the many negative aspects and interactions of this project, but the main point is simply that I could not recommend Kitchen Art to anyone.

Kitchen Art is proud of the fact that it started in 1977 with one employee and has grown to one of the leading kitchen, bath, and interior renovation companies and cabinet suppliers with the highest ratings for design, quality worknmanship, on time performance and service in the industry, using little advertising but relying on referrals or word of mouth. We invite anyone considering using our company to contact any of our 5,000 + client base.
The project this customer is referring to was started on September 23 and completed with plumbing hook up on Oct 10, 2013 with some minor dry wall work remaining. The Sales Designer handling the job, left for vacation on Oct 9th and the company owner scheduled the dry wall completion and had it taken care of the next week. During this time period, we roughed in the plumbing, electric, took care of drywall, demolition was done by client,, removed layers or floor supposed to have been done by owner, installed new tile floor backer, tile, installed cabinets, installed Granite tops, trimmed out and hooked up plumbing and electric.
It was discovered that some of the floor tile spacers, which incidentally are designed to be left in place, were too high and showing, This was definitely a mistake on the sub's part. Two tiles also were uneven, The Tile Sub returned and corrected thiese situations, certainly after the above date It was discovered that a receptacle, not involved in our work but in the same room, was not working. The elecrician returned, opened the wall to rewire it, sloved the problem and we had wall repaired. There is no need whatsoever to get into the other items mentioned because it is just a I said you said situation.
This company owner (50 years expeience) visited the job site during the tile repair, client's mother was present, and inspected the entire project, cabinets, drawer operation, countertops, floors, grout, drywall etc and found a very beautiful, and funtional kitchen equal to or above industry standards. . A few homeowners do not understand the process of working in older homes and having to live through it. We are very sorry the homewoner feels the way she does but Kitchen Art has bent over backwards to please her and actually done things beyond its contract

Planning, selecting, and layout for complete kitchen remodel which included removing walls, repairing ceilings and hardwood floors. The project was scheduled for 6 weeks and actually had operational kitchen in 4 weeks, project completed on time. All workers on schedule, pleasant and nice to deal with. 100% pleased with entire project and the project management skills of Anne Waldron from Kitchen Art. Costs were less than big box stores with standard cabinets. Absolutely beautiful, functional, kitchen now as a result of their recommendations and helpfulness in choosing and selecting all products.

Dayton and all of the contractors at Kitchen Art were incredibly helpful and professional and they did a fantastic job renovating our kitchen. From design, installation, subcontractor management and punch out we could not be happier. Our job stayed on schedule, almost on budget and we love the finished product.
