Update as of June 20, 2022 Dustin and Josue from Avatar contacted us regarding our review and worked with us to remediate all the problems listed on my original review. Both were very receptive and apologetic about the original experience and worked to fix the problems that could be fixed. They fixed some of the bathroom tiling, baseboards that were never finished, and worked on touching up different spots throughout the house. We really appreciate that they took the time to make us feel better about the entire experience and took the correct steps to guarantee that what happened to us will never happen to other clients. ————————————————————————— I struggle to even write this review because I am so mentally done with this company but our experience needs to be shared so that others think twice before hiring Avatar Contractors for a remodel. We hired Avatar contractors for a full home remodel (two bathrooms, kitchen, adding a bedroom) We were also looking to use them for a pool installation but after the experience we had with the interior remodel we decided against it. I won’t post any pictures because they can be deceiving and for an outsider looking in the end result might look amazing. When you hire contractors for a huge project like this one, communication is key. We would go days without questions being answered. There was a period of time where no one worked on our house for three weeks and no one called or texted to explain the plan. A project that was supposed to take seven weeks ended up being almost five months long. We received one 3D rendering when we should have received three. The rendering we received and approved did not match the final product, for example our kitchen cabinets in the renderings were to the ceiling. We did not receive that. We lost square footage in our living room because the island ended at a different spot than the renderings showed. This company subcontracts for just about everything and the people they hire pay no attention to details. For example, our bathroom tiling is honestly awful and looks like a DIY project. We are still finding things that need to be fixed but don’t want to even mention it because we rather just deal with it ourselves than prolong anything else. Really these are all issues that could have been easily mediated with good communication, but we never received that. I completely understand how stressful it must be to be a remodeling business during a pandemic but communication is always key. Make sure you ask a lot of questions before you hire this group.

Washington worked with us and he was attentive and quick to respond and communicated with us throughout the installation of shower and the surrounding flooring, and painting the entire master bathroom.However, They took much longer than they initially estimated week. It took them about 3 weeks to complete the job. The crew on site was not supervised , one person working at a time so very slow progression. The job was completed in the end of February 2021 and the full payment was made. In March 2021, we noticed they have damaged the existing tub in the process of demolition. There were scratches pass the top acrylic layer and the base material was exposed. We thought they left some dirt or debris but they were scratched. We were unable to use the tub as the water could leak out and damage the entire new installations. We asked them to fix the damage and it took them several weeks to complete the mediocre repair. In April 2021, two months after the completion of the job the paint has started to peel off on the ceiling in multiple areas and corner was cracking . I have asked them to spot paint the problem area but no response. Washington kept saying Osmani would take care but it’s been two weeks and we have heard no words. We had no problem with the pain prior to repainting. We had the old painting in place for fourteen plus years and no single area cracked or peeled until Avatar repainted. They did a fair job job by communicating in timely matter until the payment was made . However, Avatar does not provide after care despite one year warranty stated in their contract. Their estimated fee was on the higher side but we choose them based on good online reviews. The result was very disappointing. No, I would not recommend this business.

I am very happy working with this company. My husband and I had an amazing experience working with them in our full kitchen remodel. They are all Super attentive to details. Everything was done well and on time like they said! My kitchen looks fantastic! it’s a brand new kitchen! Super recommended. My next construction project I would definitely use them!

I can’t say enough about Avatar Contractor! They are all very professional, punctual, and they wanted to make sure I was pleased and happy every step of my kitchen project. Highly recommend!

Antonio Sandoval approached us with an offer we couldn't refuse: to paint our Campground and Cabins professionally. We are a Christian non-profit ministry with very sparse funding. This was a generous offer. We were astounded at the speed and quality of the work and the great attitude of the crew that painted all 13 cabins, the outdoor bath house and the kitchen/meeting room buildings. (I was facing major surgery at the time and could not lift a finger. This was also a great personal blessing to me.) The photos selected are the BEFORE. Sorry I don't have the finished colors: White with Reddish Trim. Looks great!

Very professional work, will used then again. This crew renovate my entire kitchen, dining and living room and the whole house change with this upgrade. Great work

As Avatar's go to photographer for their before and after work, I am always amazed at the quality of work Avatar puts into their projects. I work with many different builders and realtors and Antonio and his crew constantly surpass my ideas of what can be done. The final product is always beautiful, stunning really, and of the highest quality of workmanship. I would highly recommend Avatar to anyone who needs any remodeling done to their home.

Avatar did a master bathroom upgrade for us. They were timely, professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with throughout the project. Every concern we had was handled and Jacob responded immediately to our requests. The bathroom turned out beautiful and we have asked for a quote on another bathroom upgrade.

Professional and highly recommended contractor. There aren't many dependable contractors who care about their work and are very much into delivering quality, Antonio at Avatar is one of the few and one of the best. You are in good hands when you turn over your project to him.

5 star service and at a great price! We hired Avatar to remodel our living room and let me say that the work they performed was amazing! Removed fireplace, knocked down a load bearing wall, removed shelves, and resurfaced hardwoods! Professionalism at it finest and the guys work fast while explaining to you what has to be done at the same time! I found the guys that will be doing all of my project and will be referring to any and everyone that need work done! Thanks Avatar you made us one happy family!!

This company is wonderful! They were referred to us by our insurance agent. They did everything they said they would do. We hired them 2 weeks ago. The insurance claim was approved a couple days later. siding, windows, fence work, drywall, paint and skylights ALL FINISHED within a week later. The insurance adjuster even told me that I had a very good contractor. Most of my neighbors haven't even had any work started. I would recommend Avatar Contractors to anyone needing insurance related repairs! A+

I used Avatar to remodel my basement, which was a pretty large project. I found them online, and at first, I looked at some other companies in order to compare. I decided to give Avatar a chance based on some of the feedback listed on their website. The best part about working with them as my main contractor was that they were always available. I had a lot of questions, especially since this was such a big project. They always called me back with answers, and the service throughout everything was outstanding. As far as the work goes, all of the electricians, tile installers, plumbers, general workers, drywall people, etc. far exceeded my expectations. I have had other groups of workers come into my home who didn't do such a great job. The guys of Avatar, however, were wonderful people to work with. They would come out on weekends or whenever it was necessary to work. The quality of their work was absolutely outstanding, as well. The time management of Avatar was excellent. I would recommend Avatar Contractor for anybody and anything, even if it's for a large remodeling project. I would absolutely use them again for any project.
