Bay Tile Kitchen And Bath

My experience with this company was not something I would wish on anyone. It was apparent from the very beginning that this project was doomed from the start. When the demos guys only worked Tuesday thru Thursday the first week,(MAYBE 6 hours per day),and then damaged tile in my kitchen,which the owner wanted to "glue" back in,I could see this was not going to be the professional job that I was promised. A two week job turned into to five,with damage to drywall,wallpaper and a screen that was broken due to the worker exiting out the window. The owner was not able to take responsibility as a business owner,for her employees lack of expertise and professionalism. She agreed to many thing that were never carried out,claiming we never discussed them,when actually one of her own employees heard us talking to her about them. There was no integrity or attention to detail,and things were left unfinished,unpainted and uncaulked. She insisted there would be no subcontractors( there were) and refused to work with us on issues that were improperly done. We are very reasonable people and all we really wanted out of this was for the job to be done correctly and for them to follow through with their promises. We got neither. It's sad when a company claims to value their customers and only wants their 100% satisfaction,but does the exact opposite....we value truthfulness above all,and expected the same from this company,but all we got were excuses. I get that it wasn't a HUGE job in a big fancy house,but $13,000 is a lot of money to us,and we expected knowledgeable,professional people and a project manager that would work WITH us- not blame us for damage that they themselves caused. UPDATE- the other owner contacted us,came over to our house,discussed the issues we still had,and put forth an effort to make things right. Thats all we wanted. Thank you,Mr. Douklias.

The tiling of my kitchen, dining room, living room, master bedroom and two bathroom floors was completed today. We originally wanted to have bamboo floors installed but were convinced that any type of wood on concrete slabs in FL would probably not look great after a few years so went with wood grain porcelain tile instead. Our primary residence is Rochester NY so I tend to want "cozy" when decorating, but have spent the last 5 winters in Clearwater and enjoy the warmer/sunnier climate for the winter months and have come to realize what works up north doesn't always work down south. We love the "beachy" look of the tile we chose and relied on Bay Tile's personnel for guidance throughout the decision-making process. They were helpful - and tolerant! There were a few minor glitches but everything was handled in a friendly and professional manner to our complete satisfaction. The installer did a great job and tried to minimize the inconvenience having the majority of rooms tiled at one time created. Their prices were a bit higher than the big box stores but the tile selection was of higher quality and the installer a real pro so it was worth it to spend a little more. I would definitely recommend Bay Tile.
