Bellingham Homeworks was first referred to me by my HVAC contractor. I am so glad they referred me to this company. I had a large repair at my home after flooding damage due to a broken sump pump that had damaged my office and laundry room. I phoned and left a message and then out of panic also called a couple other companies because I was desperate to get my repair done before a planned family get together. Chris called me back a few hours after I left my message. I explained to him that I had two other companies coming to give me a price on my repair. I sent him photos and measurements of my job and he gave me a very rough estimate cost on the phone and so I made an appointment for him to come over to do a more precise estimate. After meeting Chris, I knew right away I was going to hire him because he was very straightforward, clearly experienced in assessing a complicated situation and had the ability to take care of my repairs. I called the other two companies I had reached out to and neither of them would give an approximate scope, so I cancelled the appointments. Chris came and took a look. After a few days, Chris presented me with a complete estimate and proposed schedule for his company to complete the work. It was a fairly complicated repair that involved carpentry, electrical, plumbing and finish work. Within three weeks my repairs were completed. Our experience with Bellingham Homeworks was so wonderful that we then hired him to update two of our bathrooms with a job that required reinforcing framing, very detailed waterproofing for the stone walk in showers, new plumbing and electrical. His crew was tremendous. He was detail oriented and took the balanced approach I was looking for and came in on the budget we had carefully discussed. He made some key suggestions about our design that not only saved us money on aspects that enabled us to shift the budget to things we had thought might be a stretch. We got to know Chris over a period of several months for all the projects we had him work on in our home. He was not only a skilled communicator and a great craftsman and manager, but when some aspects ran over budget due to us wanting to make changes, he clearly outlined what we were going to be dealing with and why. Chris worked enthusiastically, with needed care and kept everything on track. Thank you for restoring our home, removing the burden of construction while we were able to keep living our lives with as little interruption as possible. For being an exceptionally trustworthy contractor and solution-oriented professional. We really appreciated all the attention to detail and that during the ups and downs of these complicated projects you saw it all the way through which such phenomenal results for our bathrooms, office and laundry room.
