The team was excellent from start to finish. The Company’s approach to the project was systematic, thorough and efficient. They really took the time to understand our wants and needs. We renovated a small bathroom and had grand plans for the space. They were able to use every inch of the space in the house to pull off exactly what we wanted. Bonsai also thought the job would take about 1 month. They were done in 15 days. Just fantastic. And it was done right with exceptional quality. They also coordinated the inspections perfectly, which were all able to get done in 1 day saving a tremendous amount of time. And the actual crew was the best. They were always on time. Always clean. And very nice to our family. I don’t think this project could have gone any better. Our son has special needs and they worked so hard to make sure he was comfortable throughout the demolition and install phases of the project. Just above and beyond on the work and quality of people on site. Lastly, they were able to get us discounts on the products used in the bathroom, saved us additionally. Wouldn’t want to use anyone else.

We had a unique basement project that involved bringing a staircase up to code and the challenge of restrictive space that might have resulted in losing closet space in a bedroom above, and gutting a water damaged room and turning into a useable space. After talking to several companies, Bonsai Builders was the only ones who were able to offer some solutions and were open to working with our town’s inspector to find a resolution. Jason and Kristin were accessible and kept in touch throughout the project. Their team, including Kenney and Mike, offered creative solutions that really improved our entire basement. Every step of the way when there were unanticipated issues, the team was able to quickly develop a plan that resolved them in a timely manner. They were able to rebuild our staircase without affecting the upstairs bedroom and did an outstanding job in making our basement a functional space with a nice air exchange system. We enjoyed working with the team; everyone was very professional and easy going. We would not hesitate to reach out to them for future projects. Thank you!

You know the saying "you get what you pay for"..... well with Bonsai Builders you get integrity, honesty, professionalism and communication. I know my project was not the biggest or the most expensive but it was important to us and Bonsai treated our project as if it were the most important project they had going. The company communicated exactly when the crews were going to be on site and they were there exactly when we expected them. The very best!!! From the moment I met with Jason and his crew they were like family. Every step of the way they ensured the best quality and made our dream sunroom affordable. My kids sat out there grilling them with questions as they worked tirelessly through extreme heat or pouring rain and they always were so kind and showed them exactly what they were doing. Kenny, who was onsite everyday was very communicative every step of the way and Jason took the lead on any roadblocks. Bonsai is the very best, trustworthy, hard working and most of all great people. I have recommended them to a bunch of others and I would do it a 1000 more times.

Working with Bonsai Builders has been a great time. They did an extensive remodel for me of turning an adjoining empty room into an on-suite bathroom, redoing the closet in the primary bedroom, remodeling the first floor half bath, and redoing the coat closet which shares a wall. As the house is over 150 years old we found many surprises including old knob and tube wiring and an old load bearing wall that had been removed some time in the past which all had to be dealt with. Bonsai Builders knew who to call and had all the necessary experts on hand to work with to solve all the issues. I will definitely be using them again.

We had a punch list of carpentry jobs, which included, but not limited to 1.) replacing the rotted wood frame around a 2nd floor window with PVC, 2.) replacing old rotted shed doors with new ones, 3.) replacing old rotted sidings with new PVC boards. Jason and Kristin were patient, professional, and knowledgeable. They gave options that would save us money. The lead carpenter/contractor was both polite and professional. He was meticulous in getting the job right, and went the extra mile to point out other issues in our house that needed to be addressed immediately. And then proceeded to work on those additional problem areas. Here are some before/after photos.

I would definitely recommend Bonsai Builders. I had them do 2 separate projects for me this year, a second floor remodel with an upgrade to the master bathroom and a custom screened in porch and re-decking a L-shaped deck. Kristen and Jason were great to work with and I greatly appreciated that as this was my first time doing a major project on my own. Kristen took me shopping for floor tiles, shower tiles and countertop, helping me hone in on what I really wanted for style and colors. Jason was so patient with all my questions and concern regarding the remodel with a tight deadline. Their team was very professional making sure to protect my hardwood floors on the first floor as they went in and out. Basement remodel

Jason, Kristen and their team were amazing. We had them come do an estimate to finish our basement and we could not have been happier with the results. They went above and beyond to create a space that we had always hoped for and made sure we were happy every step of the way. They are super responsive and always available whenever we had any questions or concerns. They accommodated us even with last minute changes without hesitation. We truly enjoyed working with them and would highly recommend them to our friends and family. We look forward to working with them again in the future!

Our prior contractor was too busy for the work that needed to be done which led me to find Bonsai Builders…a blessing in disguise, if you ask me! Our front porch was in need of some major updating (a lot of rotting wood, railings were wobbly, pillar trim and paint coming off, etc). They were able to squeeze us in their busy schedule which I totally appreciate. Jason was very honest with what work needed to be done as I initially only asked for new railings. I didn't want to wait until the rotting wood got worse so I agreed and trusted his professional opinion. Thank goodness I did because there was a little more damage from water and ants that he found which I didn't want to deal with down the road. He used pvc to wrap the base of the pillars (which looks so much better and well proportioned) and replaced all our risers and kick board with pvc too. I am all for low maintenance so I'm glad I don't have to worry about rotting wood again! He even replaced our electrical outlet to a more low profile one. Jason is a perfectionist..very detail-oriented and meticulous, he kept pointing things out that I would never have noticed and fixed the issue promptly. He and his worker were respectful of the property, cleaned up after themselves, and were on time. I can't forget about Kristin (Jason’s wife and company manager) who was very communicative in regards to scheduling, estimates, etc. She was very responsive and got back to me quickly whenever I had a question (a rare trait these days!). Overall, I would definitely recommend Bonsai Builders and look forward to hiring them again in the future. I've already received so many compliments online. Even my neighbor stopped to say how beautiful it came out as she was driving away. We hired them again to redo our kitchen countertops and backsplash. Hire them, you won't regret it!!
