Featured Reviews for Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers

Clearcut Construction, Inc.
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“Richard Ryder did a large renovaton for me including gutting my master bath and closet, upgrading two more baths, installing hard wood floors, installing all new light fixtures, widening closet doors, taking down a wall, and painting the entire interior. He is currently doing repairs on a second home we have recently purchased.
My master bath and closet were a disaster. Richard not only refurbished the space, he completely redesigned it creating a spa like oasis that we still can't believe is ours. He did the carpentry on the built-ins himself.
While we have worked with several competent contractors, no one compares to Richard Ryder. He can do anything from historic preservation to new builds to remodeling. He is a creative problem solver, a skilled craftsman, and a reliable, fair, and honest person. He offers a range of options for any job and stays on budget.
When Richard works with you it is as your advocate; he works with you to get the best result for the most reasonable price. We feel blessed that we found him and he has our highest recommendation and our complete confidence.”

White Oak Custom Builders
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“White Oak Custom Builders (Justin Hartman) was the contractor for a very extensive remodeling project of my house in 2013. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 6 patio doors and all new interior doors), interior wall and flooring system replacement, three decks, a new roof structure (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) and all new interior trim for what became a three level house, originally built in 1950. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Justin’s services as a contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Justin top marks in the following areas:
1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Justin knowledgeable, skilled, and competent and is conscientious about following project specifications, and his work product rarely needs improvement or revision.
2. Project management and coordination. Justin’s prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Justin’s familiarity with building codes also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection.
3. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Justin’s commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Justin either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making.
4. Effective communication. Justin kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the project.
5. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., termite damage in a wall, structural problems with the existing floor and roof system), Justin worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., recommending the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively to make changes necessary for implementing required solutions.
6. Sensitivity to worksite appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required huge dumpsters and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Justin’s placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the worksite. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the period of this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work.
In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Justin was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Justin is indeed a rare find. I would not hesitate to hire Justin again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors.
I recommend White Oak Custom Builders to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations.”

Deutsch Design LLC
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“I hired Deutch Design to totally remodel my kitchen, laundry room and living room. We are so pleased with the results. Frank gave us great design ideas that were creative and brought those designs to life. Our kitchen now has custom made cabinets, soft close drawers, counter tops made from a beautiful brazilian cherry hardwood, and a 13.5 foot island in the middle. He also added speakers in the ceiling of the kitchen & dining room for music & television. The floors are an awesome tile that has a slate look to them. Frank took what was a messy laundry room and has transformed it into a well-organized area. We had a 500 sq foot living room addition built by a contractor. Frank built us a home entertainment center that is just over 20-ft wide. He installed a motor that allows the TV to descend into the cabinets when not in use & to lift up by remote control when we are ready to use it. He also built a surround sound system that has theater quality sound. He also built a beautiful fireplace mantel to match the entertainment center. We have been so pleased with the superior work by Deutch Design that we have already hired the company to build us a new fence and to install outdoor speakers on our back deck and patio. I highly recommend Deutch Design!”

Tark Custom Interiors and Remodeling
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“Nice guy and conscientious person doesn't begin to describe Chris. He is very dedicated, works unbelievably hard to make sure things get done. Chris made many recommendations on different ways I might consider the installations, he recognized what was important to me and came up with changes suchas a curbless shower entry and trim recommendations. I, unfortunately, ordered cabinets from Lowes (big mistake) but hired Chris for everything else. Lowes continually screwed up and I still am having conversations with them about completing repairs of damages they caused. However, Chris worked really hard to accomplish the rest of the project. Chris would come in behind each portion of the Lowes installation and finish the rest. What should have taken a month took four but Chris at each Lowes completion came in and did whatever portion he could immediately so I could get into my home. Chris came back after each of his various installers (floor, tile, granite, plumber and electrician) to insure their work was properly done and if there was something not quite right he would take care of it, even if that meant working into the evening. Committed, dedicated, creative, talented overall professional.”

Builder Bee Projects, LLC
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“We hired this contractor for a multi-faceted but budget-conscious renovation of the house we had just purchased. The work ranged from complete 2-story hardwood floor replacement, to light fixtures, installation of a gas line for natural gas stove, and various other jobs, some big, some small. Charles and his team took every aspect of our floor to ceiling renovation plan seriously, and delivered excellent results, with constant communication and updates/strategy meetings along the way. I would highly recommend Builderbee, and Charles Santos, to anyone with a home renovation or building project”

Sole Source Solution, LLC
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“I have used Sole Source Solution on many home and investment property projects, including a bathroom remodel, new flooring, new shed construction, siding repair, and painting. Joe and his team provide prompt and professional service at a fair price. I highly recommend them to my family, friends and other homeowners.”

Wake Remodeling
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“When we started the process of picking a contractor, I have
to admit, I was quite nervous. I am an avid watcher of
HGTV's Mike Holmes' shows, Holmes on Homes and
Holmes Inspection. I've seen over and over on the show
people selecting what they thought was an excellent
contractor, only to get screwed in the end out of money and
a livable space. We received several estimates, and found
three whose price was acceptable and the plan was
acceptable. (It seemed impossible to get an exact
apples-to-apples price comparison because each had some
"good idea" that wasn't in the others.) In the end we chose
Wake Remodeling because of our checking of their
references, our perception of their flexibility, their stated
willingness to do whatever would make us satisfied, and our
gut feeling of their professionalism and character. We just
had a feeling that Wake Remodeling was, as Mike
Holmes would say, "one of the good guys."
...and he was. The design was great. The materials we chose were great. The workmanship was great.”

CQC Home
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“I hired Custom Quality Carpentry to replace my deck and add a screened in porch. They also replaced the retaining wall and paved the driveway along with the sidewalk. They were professional and courteous. All work was completed on time and and they cleaned up afterwards. They were always willing to answer questions and concerns. We are very satisfied with this company.
L.S. Smith”

Kitchen & Bath Galleries
Apex, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
“I used the design services of Desi McAlister to come up with the renovation plan for our new kitchen. She totally understood the floor plan problems that needed to be resolved and that we would not be living in this house forever so the outcome needed to appeal to a broad audience. She is easy to work with, creative, experienced, and a good communicator. In conclusion, her plan was successful in that our kitchen is more functional and enjoyable.”
