Dave totally remodeled our master bath, and we were (and still are) delighted with the results. The project came in on budget and on time. Quality of Dave's work was outstanding. He was great to work with, and he went out of his way to work with us on changes we made, We would recomnend Dave highly and will definitely hire him again if we have future projects. Pete & Karen

Rick designed and custom built our kitchen. He has thousands of combinations of door styles and color/stain combinations. He helped us narrow down our choices until we decided on style and finish. Rick has a great sense of proportion and worked with us on size and balance of the cabinets. A great guy to work with. Very flexible and has lots of patience.

they remodeled my entire house in Roland Park 2 years ago ..took out walls made 2 bathrooms into one spectacular master bath, redid the kitchen. They really updated this old 1920 house not an easy job. But they made it easy for us even when it came to changes.

Wampler just finished my master bathroom. I am so pleased and excited! Not only did they do a fantastic job, they showed up everyday in lettered box trucks, all the men had uniforms with their names on them, and everyone I dealt with was very knowledgeable and kind. I will be calling them back in a few months to remodel my kitchen.

These guys are fabulous. They remodeled 3 bathrooms for me in one year (2012). All three remodels went down to studs and joists; in two out of three, I rearranged where the fixtures/plumbing were located and tore out or moved a wall. Each bathroom is as near perfect as I could imagine. And there was never a harsh word, never an argument. One co-owner is the design person. I had ideas, but he helped me plan the details. Every single detail is decided before the job starts; and the contract describes exactly what they will do, every fixture, every tile selection, every paint color, every everything, as well as (of course) the price and payment schedule. Then the work starts. The other co-owner is the job foreman and coordinator. He comes by the site most every day and is available anytime by phone or text and will come upon request if there's a need. For the work, Solstice uses top notch skilled craftsmen--the best plumber, the best tile man, the best electrician, the best carpenters/painters, etc. The tradesmen are technically subcontractors, but most of their work is for Solstice so the routines are smooth; and Solstice only subcontracts to their select group of experts. Solstice does all the coordination and scheduling among these folks, so everything gets done in the optimal sequence, though there's some down time sometimes between steps. Attitudes are A+. Always "can do" and pleasant. It took them 5 weeks to do my master bath, then (after a break for me) six weeks to do bathrooms 2 and 3 simultaneously. These times are for the work and don't include the planning time. If you want cheap and fast, go somewhere else; but if you want top quality and have the time, this is who you want to do your remodel.

Scene: It was pouring rain and I look out my kitchen window and Tommy & Sean (Blue Horizon) were outside fixing my gutters and garage doors. Keep in mind I hired them to put in a bathroom and remodel our basement! Truly they were top notch at customer service. Oh and by the way our house looks awesome, the bathroom is my Dream bathroom. Thank you Blue Horizon!!!!

Charleene gutted and re-did our 2500 sq. ft. Baltimore rowhome. She created an amazing contemporary space for our family within 6 months. Her first design was spot on and that told us she was right for the job. We highly recommend her for home rehab. She is truly the best there is in the area.
James L. Graves Construction

I suffered a catastrophic loss when a pipe in a 2nd floor bathroom in my house burst during a cold freeze. Two floor were ruined (luckily water does not run uphill, so the 3rd floor was spared). I hired James L. Graves Construction on the recommendation of neighbors...the husband and wife were both architects and had worked with the firm and thought highly of Mr. Graves and his company. Mr. Graves was my savior, guide and tutor during the multi-year undertaking to rebuild my 3 bedroom/2-1 bathroom home that won national awards when originally constructed in the late 1970's. I knew nothing about construction (I do now), but with him by my side I learned what to look for, ask for and avoid. He and his employees and subcontractors walked me through the innumerable problems and decisions I had to make, but never rushed me and provided me all the pros and cons and cost options so that I could feel comfortable with the outcomes. When I explained I never wanted to deal with a ruptured pipe or be cold in the house again, Mr. Graves did research into foaming the entire house...the cost was high but the results have been amazing. When the city insisted that we had to install a fire suppression system (the city council had just passed an ordinance), Mr. Graves worked with the city for a year to figure out what they wanted and would approve (mine was the first house subject to the ordinance and the fire department apparently used us a learning opportunity, and, thankfully, Mr. Graves dealt with the frustration far better than I ever did). Mr. Graves went with me to see city officials when I had questions about new city regulations impacting the restoration. He went with me to the architectural firm I hired to prepare plans for the restoration. He was an active participant in these meetings, raising issues I hadn't thought to ask and being there for me. We became a true team as we tackled the project of rebuilding my home. I unintentionally created a few problems, but Mr. Graves never noticed. When I bought a refrigerator that was too deep for the kitchen, I suggested a solution...a bump-out in the exterior wall into which the refrigerator could be recessed...and Mr. Graves made it happen. When I bought the wrong exterior fixtures for the showers...the wouldn't work with the plumbing that had been put in...I received an education on plumbing (!) and then understood what I needed to buy, returned the wrong products and got the right ones. Easy!! When the powder room proved too small for a regular sink cabinet, Mr. Graves' on-site project manager (a fabulous person who I adopted him as a honorary member of my family!) built a custom cabinet that fit the space perfectly. When I came out one tile short for a backsplash for a bar area, Mr. Graves picked up the phone and asked and got from his supplier for that single tile. His associates love working with him and give him their full and immediate attention. Mr. Graves gave me that same quality attention, whether I called, texted or sent an email. He was always there. Always. We set and adhered to a budget (I paid for some things that I wanted but had not included in the budget) and the finished house is what I envisioned when we began this effort. Staying within the footprint, it now is a 21st century modern structure...with spa-like bathrooms and a gorgeous kitchen...that was entirely rebuilt from the framing in. it is a new house wrapped in the old cedar bones...and it is ready to be entered into another competition. And in Mr. Graves I have found a friend, a professional mentor and, should I ever renovate another house, my next and only general contractor!

Selection and Price! When I walk into Blue Star these are 2 words that come to my mind, they have a wide selection of flooring from LVP to tile. The price for the quality of the items is unmatched, I have also picked up kitchen cabinets and bath vanities. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products. The other thing I like about Blue Star are the unusual items that you can find there. I tell all my costumers about this place.

I truly want to point out the professionalism of United Cabinet Store. We had a very pleasant experience with this company. They had renovated our kitchen for a fair price compared to other remodeling companies out in the MD area. Very knowledgeable and helpful customer service. Alex was very professional and very to the point where we needed some clarifications regarding to questions and he took his time to answer every each one of them. We were astonished with their service and didn't really expected this much help from them. 5 star for their service. Thanks again for helping me getting a brand new kitchen.
