Nice guy and conscientious person doesn't begin to describe Chris. He is very dedicated, works unbelievably hard to make sure things get done. Chris made many recommendations on different ways I might consider the installations, he recognized what was important to me and came up with changes suchas a curbless shower entry and trim recommendations. I, unfortunately, ordered cabinets from Lowes (big mistake) but hired Chris for everything else. Lowes continually screwed up and I still am having conversations with them about completing repairs of damages they caused. However, Chris worked really hard to accomplish the rest of the project. Chris would come in behind each portion of the Lowes installation and finish the rest. What should have taken a month took four but Chris at each Lowes completion came in and did whatever portion he could immediately so I could get into my home. Chris came back after each of his various installers (floor, tile, granite, plumber and electrician) to insure their work was properly done and if there was something not quite right he would take care of it, even if that meant working into the evening. Committed, dedicated, creative, talented overall professional.

We hired this contractor for a multi-faceted but budget-conscious renovation of the house we had just purchased. The work ranged from complete 2-story hardwood floor replacement, to light fixtures, installation of a gas line for natural gas stove, and various other jobs, some big, some small. Charles and his team took every aspect of our floor to ceiling renovation plan seriously, and delivered excellent results, with constant communication and updates/strategy meetings along the way. I would highly recommend Builderbee, and Charles Santos, to anyone with a home renovation or building project
White Oak Custom Builders

White Oak Custom Builders (Justin Hartman) was the contractor for a very extensive remodeling project of my house in 2013. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 6 patio doors and all new interior doors), interior wall and flooring system replacement, three decks, a new roof structure (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) and all new interior trim for what became a three level house, originally built in 1950. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Justin’s services as a contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Justin top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Justin knowledgeable, skilled, and competent and is conscientious about following project specifications, and his work product rarely needs improvement or revision. 2. Project management and coordination. Justin’s prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Justin’s familiarity with building codes also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. 3. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Justin’s commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Justin either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making. 4. Effective communication. Justin kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the project. 5. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., termite damage in a wall, structural problems with the existing floor and roof system), Justin worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., recommending the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively to make changes necessary for implementing required solutions. 6. Sensitivity to worksite appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required huge dumpsters and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Justin’s placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the worksite. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the period of this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work. In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Justin was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Justin is indeed a rare find. I would not hesitate to hire Justin again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend White Oak Custom Builders to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations.

Noble Renovations built an addition to our property and did major renovations to the main part of the house. This was a large project lasting 4 months. It involved all of the major trades, framing, drywall, plumbing, electrics, HVAC, painting, flooring etc. Steve's attention to detail and professionalism were second to none. Also his project management skills are very good and everything ran to schedule. Some issues were encountered along the way but Steve was solution orientated and came up with options/solutions. Steve kept us informed of progress and plans for up coming work. I would have no hesitation in using Noble Renovations again and recommending them.

Wake Remodeling

When we started the process of picking a contractor, I have to admit, I was quite nervous. I am an avid watcher of HGTV's Mike Holmes' shows, Holmes on Homes and Holmes Inspection. I've seen over and over on the show people selecting what they thought was an excellent contractor, only to get screwed in the end out of money and a livable space. We received several estimates, and found three whose price was acceptable and the plan was acceptable. (It seemed impossible to get an exact apples-to-apples price comparison because each had some "good idea" that wasn't in the others.) In the end we chose Wake Remodeling because of our checking of their references, our perception of their flexibility, their stated willingness to do whatever would make us satisfied, and our gut feeling of their professionalism and character. We just had a feeling that Wake Remodeling was, as Mike Holmes would say, "one of the good guys." ...and he was. The design was great. The materials we chose were great. The workmanship was great.

I used the design services of Desi McAlister to come up with the renovation plan for our new kitchen. She totally understood the floor plan problems that needed to be resolved and that we would not be living in this house forever so the outcome needed to appeal to a broad audience. She is easy to work with, creative, experienced, and a good communicator. In conclusion, her plan was successful in that our kitchen is more functional and enjoyable.
Southeastern Interiors
Fuquay-Varina, NC Kitchen and Bathroom Remodelers
July 20, 2016
Renovating any part of a home, especially while still living in it, is at best an anxious and strategically delicate time! We selected Southeastern Interiors for our flooring project because of the personal referrals we had received and the research that the wood grained ceramic plank flooring we had decided upon for a product would require expert installation to closely resemble a hardwood look. While our kitchen, the heart of our home, was being dismantled and renovated, designer Ashley Ausley was superior in her assessment of our flooring needs, creative in her suggestive choices to compliment cabinets, granite and adjoining flooring, and went over and above the call of duty from every phase of the initial order, pricing accuracy, attentive communications of delivery and installation, and personal monitoring of the process from start to finish. The project was completed in an impressive time frame, and the finished flooring is a beautiful highlight of our home! Our installer, Lucas, was so courteous and professional, he demonstrated the work ethic of a saint! If the experience we had with these two representatives of the company are indicative of the quality, care and integrity of doing business with Southeastern Interiors, then why would anyone choose anywhere else? Thank you Southeastern Interiors for a job well done! Jim and Tere Murphy Angier, NC
