Cabinetry by Design

We absolutely love our new kitchen! From the very beginning, Scott listened carefully to our needs, preferences, and budget, and transformed our ideas into a beautiful and highly functional kitchen. His attention to detail, creativity, and expertise made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Communication was excellent throughout the project, and Scott was always responsive, professional, and patient with all our questions. The finished kitchen exceeded our expectations and has become the heart of our home. We highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a talented designer who genuinely cares about delivering exceptional results.

Scott is a wonderful designer and listened to everything my husband and I wanted in our kitchen. The Three -D images were great as it showed me the island I thought I wanted, but I had it changed for a much better solution. He went to all appointments at the vendors he recommended, and they were all perfect. Now that the project has been completed, it by far exceeds my expectations. My husband and I will be reaching out again for our master bathroom and the wet bar in our finished basement. Both are in need of Scott's expertise.

We worked with Scott for our kitchen renovation in 2021. We really appreciated the time he took to layout the design of the kitchen and he was easy to work with for changes we needed. The cabinets are great quality! We are very happy with them in our kitchen! There were a few issues with cabinet doors and some stain errors when they were installed and Scott quickly had the company come out to replace and fix any issues we had. Should we have any future home projects, we would use Cabinetry by Design again!

We worked with Scott at Cabinetry by Design (CBD) on a complete remodel of our kitchen and laundry - all new layout, cabinets, countertops, and appliances. Throughout the design process, Scott was very patient, attentive, reliable, and responsive to our questions and needs - it was obvious he cared that we got the kitchen we wanted with a flow that worked for our family. He offered great design ideas and offered resources when needed. Being a novice to custom cabinets, CBD took the time to talk through the different options, trends, and was able to offer examples from similar projects. Scott's experience and attention to detail made all the difference. When the custom cabinets were delivered, Scott was there to ensure each piece arrived and was exactly what we ordered. Similarly, he met with the contractor before installation to make sure the contractor fully understood the installation plan and could execute. When a cabinet was found to have a wood imperfection, Scott had a replacement to our home within days. Cabinetry by Design will not disappoint! They were engaged, present, and invested in the outcome of our project. And the end result is a breathtaking new kitchen and laundry room with everything we need for years to come.

Scott came into our kitchen remodel project highly recommended by our contractors. He immediately understood what we wanted and came up with an excellent design. His kitchen cabinets were outstanding quality at a mid-range price. His original estimate was on target. There were no surprises and his stated timeframe was right on target. I highly recommend Scott Mecey if you are interested in a kitchen and/or bathroom renovation.

We had a great experience with Scott and Cabinetry by Design. He spent months planning our new kitchen design with us, moving things here and there until I was content and satisfied. Before ordering, he supplied a sample cabinet door, which was really helpful, and I would have never thought to request that. The cabinet ordering process was pretty simple and not too long. Our cabinets are beautiful and everything fit when installed. We did have some issues along the way, but Scott did a great job handling each one. He even drove all the way to Indiana to pick up some cabinet doors that were delayed in shipment. I would highly recommend him. Kitchen projects are NOT FUN, and having someone you can trust by your side is really helpful and makes the process easier than it would have been.

Scott of Cabinetry by Design was an amazing partner in the planning and designing and installation of my new kitchen cabinets.. He walked me through all the steps to furnish the best solutions and quality cabinetry i could afford. All his input and suggestions helped me make wise decisions that have resulted in a kitchen that i truly LOVE!! The cabinets that Scott offers are of the highest quality. I get compliments on them all the time, even from the contractors! He was a professional from start to finish. Always available to answer questions ( and i had many) or make recommendations. Even though my kitchen is completed I will not hesitate to turn to Scott for any other further installations.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Scott on a kitchen renovation project, and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, Scott was an absolute professional and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Scott's dedication to the project was evident through his willingness to meet with us multiple times to discuss his design ideas and assist us in making crucial decisions. He provided great advice, such as suggesting that we choose our appliances before finalizing the cabinet order to ensure a perfect fit. In fact, he even went a step further by connecting us with a knowledgeable appliance vendor, which made the appliance shopping process incredibly easy and efficient. One of the key factors that set Scott apart was his ability to provide us with a precise delivery date for the cabinets. When the day arrived, the cabinets were right on schedule, and Scott met the delivery truck at our house to double check the order. About a month prior to the cabinet delivery, Scott arranged meetings with his preferred vendors for our countertops, faucets, and tile backsplash. What truly stood out was that he spent the entire day accompanying us to these appointments, helping us not only stay on budget but also choose products that aligned perfectly with my vision for the kitchen. This level of commitment to the project and the keen eye for design truly made the difference. In the end, I couldn't be happier with the final result. Scott brought my vision to life through his expert design, and our kitchen now looks exactly as I had imagined. The overall experience was smooth, efficient, and enjoyable, thanks to Scott's professionalism and expertise. I would wholeheartedly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a dedicated and talented professional for their home renovation project.

I would highly recommend Cabinetry by Design for any of your home projects. Scott was absolutely wonderful to work with every step of the way. He was especially helpful with our contractor and made the whole process go smoothly. The cabinets are high quality and beautiful. We had a panel for our refrigerator that wasn't 100% and he had a new panel made to replace it without any problems. Scott was always available with questions from myself or the contractor and came to the house when the cabinets were delivered and installed. We love the cabinets and the kitchen and can't thank him enough for all he did in the process to make it happen.

Scott at Cabinetry by Design was wonderful to work with. The cabinets are gorgeous and love the way our kitchen and bath turned out.

Scott was very organized , professional, and timely with us as we had our kitchen remodeled. He organized all the details. Went along with us as we chose our counter tops and backsplash tiles. His new design for our kitchen flows much better than the old design. The cabinets are made in USA with the highest of quality. Have already recommended him to our friends and neighbors. Outstanding!!

My husband and I redid the kitchen that we have lived in for the last 25 years. We knew how we used it and knew how we wanted to change it. Scott's experience with kitchen design added value, so the end product was far better aesthetically and functionally - no detail was too small to escape his attention. We love the custom cabinets we purchased through Scott, and the suppliers that he recommended for our project (i.e. appliances, faucets, tiles, etc.) helped greatly to bring the whole thing together. Scott was professional, reliable, and worked very well with our contractor. Overall I would say he was a pleasure to work with, delivered as promised and made, what can be a very disruptive process, easier to manage.

Cabinetry by Design has been outstanding! We have enjoyed the entire process - from the initial walk-through of the space to the final installation. Scott and his team worked with us to develop our vision and create a workable, highly functioning kitchen and master bathroom. We were able to keep specific appliances and use suggestions for better placement as well as design our cabinets, including adding an extra glaze for a specific 'look'. Our cabinets arrived in a timely manner and were on-site and ready for the construction crew to install. The cabinets themselves are absolutely beautiful - well made, dovetail joints, beautifully finished, sturdy and solid. There is a lot of uncertainty when tearing out a space and rebuilding. However, we are super pleased and have recommended Cabinetry by Design to several others looking for new cabinets. Thanks for an excellent experience!

Scott was a delight to work with. Very professional, knowledgeable and beautiful product. He did cabinetry in our new house for our kitchen, 2 bar areas, prep pantry, bathrooms, laundry room and craft area. He met with us multiple times to understand what we wanted. Brought designs to us that were what we had discussed with extra suggestion. Worked well with our builder Everything was timely. We love the end result and would recommend Scott to anyone for either a new home build or a remodel.

Scott was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process of our kitchen remodel. Scott took the time to create the perfect layout for our home and our family’s needs. He considered and discussed every detail with us to ensure that our kitchen layout and cabinetry were exactly what we wanted. We could not be happier with the experience in working with Scott or with our beautiful, high-quality kitchen cabinetry he provided. We would highly recommend Cabinetry by Design to anyone!

We were extremely fortunate to find Scott's work on Houzz! After working with several contractors to help design a new kitchen, we brought Scott to our home and ended up being blown away. First, Scott actually sat and listened carefully to our wishes and then drew up designs that accommodated us. Second, his cabinets are unsurpassed in quality, craftsmenship and absolute beauty. Third, his attention to detail and design were amazing. Finally, Scott helped us every step of the way in choosing hardware, countertops, backsplash, etc - never forcing his choices, but also making sure what we chose would work flawlessly together. Furthermore, the team of professionals that Scott recommended worked tirelessly, were absolute professionals, and were not only craftsmen, but we considered artists in the job they performed exactly on time. This yielded a kitchen of our dreams, surpassing all expectations, and changing our home's atmosphere totally to one we will enjoy for a very long time.

Working with Scott was a great decision. He was knowledgeable and delivered every step of the process. I did most of the work myself, including new flooring, new dining room/kitchen/living room layout, tiling, appliance and cabinet install. As anyone who has ever completed a big DIY project knows, there are always hiccups along the way. Scott's design and the delivery of the cabinets was the only part of the process that went flawlessly. The 17+ cabinets and trimwork and accessories were perfect in every way: measurement, quality, finish. I highly recommend you work with Scott.

Our bathroom had not been updated in 20+ years. I only had a color theme and basic design in mind, and Scott took it from there. He presented his plan for materials and everything was just perfect. Project was completed in a timely manner. His staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. Communication was spot on. Project was completed beautifully, with great attention to detail. Next project will be the kitchen and we would not even consider using anyone else.

We met Scott at a home expo and are so glad we talked to him! He is more than just a designer; he is with you through every step of the process. There was no question too dumb for him to answer and we were left with a design and finished product that I can't say enough about! What I appreciate the most about Scott is his honesty and transparency. We had no real issues through the process, but he was quick to help us get comfortable with any issue that did arise and his primary goal was for us to be 100% satisfied with the end result. After it is all said and done, we would be greater than 100% satisfied if that were an option!

Scott did an great job on our kitchen and laundry room projects, walking us through the process and being conscious of our budget. I would highly recommend working with Cabinetry by Design.

Scott helped us with a kitchen, bath and laundry room remodel. It was a big project that involved moving walls, moving laundry to the 2nd floor, etc. He was a pleasure to work with and we are very happy with the finished project. Scott was professional, responsive, helpful and paid attention to the small details that often get overlooked. He delivered on 100% of his promises without any hiccups. We highly recommend Cabinetry by Design!

Scott worked with us for many months on our new construction home project. We purchased all cabinetry as well as Cambria Quartz Countertops for the entire home. We have been in our home for 2 weeks now and just absolutely love the job that he did. We had a difficult task with our "hidden" pantry and not only did he execute it perfectly but we have family and friends that are just blown away by the fact you can't even tell it is a walk-in pantry. I had a specific color in mind for the cabinetry that hadn't ever been made before and he took a combination of a stain and a glaze to come up with a beautiful mahogany color that is just gorgeous. He was here for the delivery and installation of both the cabinets and countertops to oversee the project and has been greatly accommodating with all of our needs. I highly recommend using him for both quality and price. This was a fully custom job for much less than the "semi" custom cabinetry stores were offering me. We are working on getting pictures taken which I will upload at a later time.

Couldn't be happier with my kitchen remodel with Cabinetry by Design. It's so hard to know who to choose with all the choices for designers and all the horror stories out there. Fate, karma, or something else led me to Scott and I am so grateful. His design for my kitchen was exactly what I asked for and the project was completed ON TIME and ON BUDGET (unheard of, I know). So happy with the quality of products, especially the cabinets. I got quotes from several other designers and all came back at least $15,000 higher for a lesser product. Thank you Scott for making my dream kitchen a reality within my budget!!!

Worked with Scott Meche on the design for my new kitchen. It was a pleasure to work with him, he listened to every detail I gave him. It was such s great experience. Tom the installer was also a delight, so thoughtful & conscientious about his work. I truly enjoyed having him in my home. Both Tom & Scott made my experience so wonderful, I would recommend them to anyone !!

We had a terrific experience with Scott/Cabinetry by Design on our kitchen remodel. From day one he treated the project like it was his own. While he offered a lot of different design ideas he was careful to listen to what we were looking for and made sure the final design fit our thoughts and style. As remodel projects are prone to do we hit a couple unforeseen snags and Scott was right there to find a solution. He even accommodated a few tweaks we requested after the project had started. As for the project, it started and ended as expected. The vendors/products Scott represents are high quality and the contractor he recommended (Upright Remodeling in our case) was first class. In the end, not only did we get a kitchen we are thrilled with, we feel like we made a new friend. We couldn't recommend Scott any more highly.

Many thanks to Scott Mecey of Cabinetry by Design. Scott led us through a redesign and rebuild process for our kitchen and breakfast room. The new rooms are fresh, beautiful and true to the character of our 75 year old home. The workmanship of the contractor, Upright Remodeling, was impeccable. The attention to detail by both Scott and Upright Remodeling resulted in a space that far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

Scott did an amazing job designing our new kitchen! We loved Scott’s personal approach and the amazing quality of the cabinetry. He helped us every step of the way to pick just the perfect design for the kitchen, and we valued his design ideas in making the kitchen the kitchen of our dreams! The process was painless, no big surprises and it was finished in the amount of time that was estimated at the start of the project (right at 6 weeks). Scott professionally addressed any issue that came up with the ultimate goal of wanting us to be completely happy with the kitchen. His goal was achieved! We highty recommend Scott with Cabinetry by Design!

We are very happy with choosing Cabinetry by Design to do our cabinets! Everything looks great! I really appreciate Scott's personal attention and taking care of us every step of the way!

This was a remodeling kitchen job. Scott did an excellant job of helping us design and get the most cabinet space in the area we already had. He really takes the time to make sure your are happy with the layout and then puts it all into action. Yes, we had a few small bumps in the road, but Scott took care of all of it. His work is wonderful. We still love our new kitchen We are getting ready to remodel our master bath and Scott will be the one to do the work for us. He won't disappoint you...

Excellent quality. Very honest. Workmanship was first class. Best of the all the project was finished ahead of schedule. Highly recommended. Did my daughters kitchen as well.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE our new kitchen and upgrade to our bathroom vanities. We were extremely fortunate to hire Scott and his team who were so professional, efficient, skilled and had years of experience in the business that allowed us to trust them and their opinions/suggestions! The installer Tom was very dependable, gave us good ideas, and was very skilled - will miss his rock and roll! The cabinet quality is wonderful and we love the new look! After interviewing several contractors we definitely ended up with the best to do the work and too deal with! Couldn't be happier! Highly recommend!

When I first met Scott, he was only 1 of 2 designers that even returned my phone call. He arrived promptly at our house for the scheduled appointment and from the moment he walked in, I knew he was my designer. He understood exactly what I wanted and worked with us on every aspect of our very large project. He guided us every step of the way and made sure everything was correct, down to the smallest detail. We all worked diligently to have very little changes during construction and the whole project ran smoothly. We cannot begin to express how grateful we are to have found someone who is so good at what he does and cares so much as well. It was truly a pleasure and we would highly recommend him for all projects.

Scott did and excellent job of listening to our wants and needs in our new kitchen. He picked up on our design style quickly and did an excellent job of working within our budget. His new layout of the kitchen exceeded what we thought we could have in the space. He thought of everything that we needed to address and guided us in those decisions. There was no stress, with his eye for design, of picking the cabinet choices, appliances, tiles, table top and fixtures. The process went very quickly and he worked well with our contractor, who was very pleased with the exactness of his design drawings. I would recommend him to anyone as a first choice. It was a most pleasant experience to work with him and our kitchen is fabulous!

We have worked with Scott Mecey at Cabinetry By Design several times. He helped design and supply the cabinets and fixtures for our bathroom renovation. It turned out beautiful and my husband and I have received so many compliments and asked who we went to. I have recommended Scott to several people because he is so good to work with, an excellent designer and provides a great product.

Professional, dependable, trustworthy, attentive to details. Scott designed and built our kitchen to perfection. We love our kitchen, and everyone who visits is always in awe of how beautiful it looks and how wonderful it works for our lifestyle and entertaining.

We refinished our master bath. Scott Mecey of Cabinetry by Design has great ideas! He is professional, very efficient, is a perfectionist, so wants to make sure everything is just right. He and his workers did a wonderful job with our bathroom!

I hired Cabinetry by Design to remodel my kitchen and master bath after getting quotes from several other contractors. Scott's attitude about the project, his willingness to listen and incorporate my ideas, and his helpful recommendations is what sold me and I was not disappointed. He seemed to really care that I ended up with something I would love that was within my budget. He set up appointments to look at countertops, faucets, tile, etc and made his recommendations on what colors and materials would work together, what type of tiles to use (some of which I wouldn't have even considered), carried samples from place to place so we could see the various wood and tiles and countertops side by side. He was almost as excited as I was to get the right combinations. It was a very fun and productive experience. I couldn't be happier with my kitchen and master bath. The workers were very professional, did excellent work and finished on time. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

My wife and I hired Cabinets by Design for our kitchen remodel project. We were very pleased with the results and we have received many complements from our friends and relatives. Scott Mecey provided us with two different design proposals and we were able to choose the best features of each design for our kitchen. Scott really excels in customer service. He was at our house the day the cabinets arrived to make sure that we received all of our cabinets and to verify that they were not damaged in any way. During the installation Scott took care of a couple minor issues that occurred quickly and efficiently.

From start to finish Scott was very responsive to our request. The final product is more than we expected and the craftsmanship of the product is outstanding. His install contractor was very neat and tidy, never leaving a mess behind after each day work. I highly recommend Scott and his company Cabinetry By Design.

Cabinetry by Design provided me with excellent service on picking our Kitchen Cabinets. Excellent follow through and great customer service on the product. Great quality on the product and beautiful work.

Upon moving into our house, my Husband and I were in search of a designer to help us lay out our new kitchen/dining room. Scott met us at the house and was instrumental in making sure we got the layout exactly perfect. Scott even tagged along to check out a neighbors house who had done a similar renovation. Scott was very professional and timely throughout the entire process and was extremely knowledgeable in his craft. We hope to be able to work with Scott again in the future.

We chose Cabinetry by Design due to the creativeness of Scott Mecey, the quality of the products he used and the craftsmanship of his installers. This project was a complete kitchen and powder room replacement. We had never done anything like this in any of our homes and needed a professional to help us do it right. We interviewed and received bids from three other providers but none of the others had the innovative and creative designs that Scott brought forward. It was obvious to us that this was more than a job to Scott, it was a reflection on him and his company. Scott was diligent in helping us select the right colors, designs and features. Throughout the project Scott stayed in touch with us and his installers. The result is we have a fabulous new kitchen and powder room that is the talk of the neighborhood. As a family who entertains quite often Scott's cooking island design enables us to host large parties easily. It's a pleasure for us to recommend Cabinetry by Design!

I have used this company twice now. Not only to design my two kitchens (one residential and one commercial) but to also facilitate the entire project management of ordering, logistics of delivery and the final installation. WOW! Listen up America this is how it's really supposed to work - a competent person managing a lot of other competent people that end the end delivers a finished product that actually met my expectations!!! Scott Mecey is not only an accomplished designer with years and years of experience behind him I also find that his ability to communicate quickly and effectively exceeded my expectations. Bottom line: I got what I asked for and these days that doesn't count for "something" that counts for "everything." Thanks Scott and your entire crew! Looking forward to the next one!

We hired Scott to replace the cabinets in our kitchen. We wanted to use the same footprint but make some changes in the wall cabinets and storage space. Scott came in and was very courteous and respectful. When we gave him our ideas, he never said "can't". If he thought of a way to achieve the goal differently, he told us his thoughts. He came in with the contractor, whom we also met with prior to agreeing to the project to make sure he understood our desires. The "little things" that Scott and Tom did completed the experience: showing up on time, returning phone calls, keeping the project on schedule, etc. Tom cleaned up all the dust and dirt that was created each day and left the workspace as neat and organized as a kitchen remodel could be. As a side note, if you have pets, they are animal lovers so you can feel comfortable knowing that. I locked my cats up each day and Tom would let them out if he left before we got home. I had a less than pleasant experience with a bathroom remodel prior to this. Scott restored my faith in contractors and professionalism. I highly recommend Cabinetry by Design.

Owner, Scott Mecey has been an excellent resource for our kitchen remodel. Entirely professional, he provided all the information needed to choose from his lines of cabinetry. He was able to help us with the design without having to hire a designer and recommended the highest quality contractor to complete the job. Extremely knowledgable and experienced.
