Of the many contractors we’ve worked with over the years, our experience with Mark and Pete at Capitol City Home Improvement was by far our most positive one. They remodeled three bathrooms and did several other updates in rooms around our home. Their work (and that of their subs) included flooring for two bathrooms (one with ceramic tile and the other with luxury vinyl flooring); construction of a tiled walk in shower with new trim and new glass doors (and demo and removal of old shower and doors); installation of a new bathtub and trim, and tiled backsplash; installation of new lighting in multiple rooms; painting of several rooms (walls and high ceilings); installation of grab bars, towel bars, hooks, and rings; hanging of mirrors; improving the baseboard trim; and much more. Mark and Pete are truly exceptional contractors. They are highly skilled craftsmen, very meticulous in their fine workmanship. Both Mark and Pete are creative problem solvers, always looking at the most effective ways to get the work done with an eye to satisfying the client. They are very customer-focused, collaborative, flexible, and just a pleasure to work with. The project cost was very reasonable for the high-quality work they completed, and they stand behind their work. Our bathroom flooded due to a cracked toilet tank during a time when no one had time to offer repair services. Mark and Peter came to our rescue and took our project on! They were great to work with and did everything they could to keep the project moving forward despite supply shortages and delivery issues. They always kept us informed during those times so we never had to worry about where the project was at. Their work was exceptional and we couldn't be more pleased. My wife and I bought our house knowing we were going to remodel our kitchen, but waited a year to know exactly what we wanted to do with it. When we spoke with Mark and Peter from Capitol City Home Improvements, they not only convinced us that we had a good plan and they could certainly accomplish the work, but gave us even more suggestions to make the project better. They were able to build us a half wall, benches seating with storage, removed our old cabinets and hung the new ones, fixed our current lighting and added new features, and installed all of our appliances. They even fixed our pantry shelving with precision and finesse. They quoted a price and never asked for more even though it seemed that their daily efforts deserved more. Their attention to detail from start to finish is their foremost motto. We looked forward to seeing them every day just to catch up on life and enjoyed our many conversations.
