Nick Clasen remodeled our family room and back porch. It was a very positive experience. Nick listened to what we were trying to accomplish. He made suggestions but kept our vision for the project as his top priority. During the project we made a few adjustments and Nick and his team were very accommodating. The end result is something that has exceeded our expectations. We will definitely work with Nick again.

Clasen Design Build has completed several projects for me....from a total gut job and remodel-- to a cosmetic remodel. Nick Clasen is an incredible designer, his workmanship is excellent and ability to stay on budget is great.

Clasen Design and Build completed our 3000 sq foot addition in April 2016. This was the first build project we've ever attempted, and we were nervous about the process. After interviewing 5 other builders, we chose Nick based on his sincerity, honesty and similar goals for our project. From start to finish he was attentive and organized. We had heard horror stories from friends and family members regarding a project like ours. However, we didn't experience anything other than ordinary building issues. From obtaining permits to making sure the subcontractors were arranged, there was seldom a day that Nick wasn't working on the build. He made the experience enjoyable, and would give weekly updates to the happenings on the site. A projected 9 month plan was completed in 7 months. The detail and creativity for certain decisions were helped along with his eye for subtle, unique and interesting finishes. If we ever decide to renovate or build up from the beginning, we'd definitely choose Clasen Design and Build again.

Nick did a basement remodel job for us last fall where he finished 850 square feet of space divided into 2 rooms: A playroom for our toddler aged grandchildren and a game room for the older grandkids. We love the finished product. Nick knew just how to join the new space to the existing space so that it did not look like it was "added on." He was open to all of our design ideas, and the quality of his work is superb. His subs were respectful, always taking time to clean up and lock up if we were not home. The finishing touch on the project was a gorgeous double barn door separating the two rooms that was handmade by a craftsman he knew and that he stained himself. He ordered the matching hardware with only a suggestion from us. It is beautiful! We recommend Nick Clasen and would use him again.

Clasen Design Build did a wonderful job on my kitchen. Nick took my limited space and designed a layout that gave me exactly the amount of storage I needed, while still making the kitchen feel spacious. I was very happy with the end product and will definitely be using Clasen Design Build for my future projects.

Nick told us our project would take 6 weeks; it took 7 months, and we still have problems. It's important to note that Nick only has 1 employee, so to think that our project could have been done in 6 weeks was a ridiculous promise. We had a very difficult time getting our cabinets ordered after giving him a very large down payment. It took several weeks before he placed the order which further delayed our project. He then advised that the cabinet company was upset with him and were holding our order for another several weeks. When the cabinets arrived, we discovered that he submitted the wrong size for 2 of them, and one (over the refrigerator) was never ordered. We had issues with the painters, including one that came high and spilled Big Red all over the upstairs hallway. The painter used one of our bath towels to clean it up and proceeded to throw it in my daughters closet to hide it. Nicks inability to manage our project was a huge issue and burden for us. We actually had one subcontractor show up for work only to discover that Nick failed to have the tile available for him to lay. We had so many issues with Nick and his subcontractors that we wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Nick and his crew were extraordinarily friendly, professional, courteous and responsive. The quality of the work was outstanding as well. I'd highly recommend them to anyone for any size remodel project.

Having worked with Nick on many projects for several years I can honestly say he is one of the best I've ever dealt with. His finished projects are always high quality and built well. Its always a pleasure creating plans with Clasen Design Build.

Nick and his crew removed the wall between my den and formal living room creating a greatroom that my family can enjoy for years to come. Throughout the remodel process, Nick was open to my ideas and made recommendations to enhance the look of our remodel. At the end of each day, every area in which they worked was cleaned thoroughly. The craftmanship with my built-in shelves, fireplace surround, and dry bar was/is exceptional. The work is simply beautiful. After receiving the estimates from three other companies, I would have to say that Nick's work exceeds the cost of our remodel project. I highly recommend his work.

Nick and his crew is extremely professional, efficient and skilled. It's always been difficult to find a contractor who walks the walk, but Nick is definitely one of them. Our project turned out fantastic and we are enjoying the quality craftsmanship of our basement. Nick and company, designed and built out our 2100 sq. ft. basement into a full 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen. Their craftmanship was wonderful. They were easy to work with and always clear in the process and schedule. The job site was always left completely clean. I so appreciated the ownership they took of the job, as if they were building it for themselves, always wanting the best, but willing to hear my ideas. It was a delightful experience. We love the finished product. My only criticism would be in follow up after the job was completed. It was a little harder to get them back to fix some things. I would highly recommend this company!
