David and Valerie recently completed a transformative renovation of our home garage. The project involved converting the space into a gym, half bath, mudroom, laundry room, and a unique pet room for our family rabbit. We knew that we wanted to work with David and Valerie the moment we met them. After living in our house for 12 years, we had let a lot of projects fall by the wayside, so many that we needed a contractor. We wanted to remove the popcorn ceilings, update the entry, reface the fireplace, replace windows and doors, replace the cracked kitchen granite, relocate the washer/dryer, replace the toilet and floor in the master bath, and update the outdoor lighting. David and Valerie submitted to us a proposal that fell within our budget and aligned with what we wanted. The entire project was outlined ahead of time, and they made sure everything was on schedule. The only delay was a manufacturer delay for the front door, and all work was completed to our standards. When the project was done, Community Builders hired professional cleaners to clean the interior and a professional to power wash the exterior.

Working with David and Valerie on our three bathroom upgrade project was a truly positive experience. They focus on customer needs and wants and works to fulfill both. They are easy to work with, had great ideas when we needed guidance and transformed our project into exactly what we wanted. No detail is too small. We look forward to working with them on future projects.

Immediately after you've done a remodel or repair, a person quickly assesses whether the job was great, bad, or somewhere in between. Unfortunately, that is usually an emotional response fueled by many factors, not all related to the actual work. However, when you assess a job after living with the results for several years, you have a clearer perspective on its worth and success. In 2021 Community Builders did major work on a home we had recently purchased. It started as a few repairs and morphed into a major remodel of broken systems and needed changes. After three years, I would assess the work as excellent. The improved livability of our home and the overall functionality are impressive. David and Valerie's advice, guidance, oversight, and planning of the project were exceptional. I highly recommend Community Builders for your home projects!

David and Valerie provide true white glove service! They pay attention to every detail and deliver on their promises. Their schedule and timing of our project was realistically laid out and executed as planned. There were numerous changes and custom elements in our remodel. Community Builders managed the design and construction of one of our bathrooms. They provide not only crisp and realistic design ideas and options, they deployed some of the best craftsmen I’ve seen in the home remodel business. This project was tricky and required complete demolition in tight quarters and reconfiguration of several services. The contractor took that aspect on with ease to our surprise! Schedules were followed and their communication was stellar, unlike most experiences we’ve had in the past. They guided us to the right look and quality while managing the budget. The outcome was fantastic. The new bathroom fits seamlessly into our home style and decor and stands out with its clean and modern look. We couldn’t be happier.

David & Valerie were a pleasure to work with. From the beginning, they took time to explain the process, walk us through everything and answer all our concerns. They were not the cheapest, but based on how well they explained the process and their thoroughness, we decided to work with them. We are so glad we did! As with many projects these days there were supply chain delays, change orders, and issues that had to be resolved, but their professionalism and communication with us was outstanding, and worth every extra penny. By the end of this project, I almost felt like they were friends, rather than "my contractors". All the subs were also great people to work with and really went above and beyond. It must be a difficult task to keep a major home renovation going during a pandemic. Supply shortages, workers out sick, scheduling projects. Yet the Minors persevered and kept everything moving forward. With our type of project, surprises lurked behind every wall, the floor and the attic. Twice, we thought the project done, only to discover something additional that required urgent fixing. At either of those points, the Minors could fairly have walked away. Our contracted projects were done. However they stayed with us until the end. My apologies to their other customers who must have experienced a delay because of their commitment to us. Thank you, David and Valerie. Your home will be in good hands if you hire them for whatever project you have in mind.

David and Valerie were great to work with. They listened to our needs, understood our budget and provided excellent design insight. Throughout the entire process the communication was clear and the work was exceptional. David was onsite daily leading the subs and ensuring excellent work. He also regularly provided options to save money or improve the design, meanwhile Valerie kept the schedule flowing like a well oiled machine. We chose Community Builders to do a kitchen remodel for us three years ago, and were so happy with the results that we knew we would choose them again to do a master bath remodel. Again, we were not disappointed. David and Valerie Minor bring experience, integrity, and professionalism to every project. If we could give 10 stars, we would! How do we begin to tell you how wonderful this contractor team is? We had a major remodel, with load bearing walls removed. We had heard all the horror stories. Talked to 8 different contractors. They were unresponsive, uninterested, unwilling to listen and communicate. That all changed with one call to Community Builders. Within one minute of leaving a message, Valerie returned my call. After several meetings and lots of anxiety, we chose them as our contractor. Best contracting decision we could ever make. The perfect contractor dynamic duo! They are both well organized, great communicators, very approachable, and so very helpful. We had an idea of what we wanted. They both worked with us to achieve our vision. Imagine a contractor who is pleasant to work with? Our new home is absolutely beautiful! Dave and his sub contractors were professional, courteous, on time and highly competent. Never in a million years, did we think our contractor would be so awesome. We will use them again and are grateful for our new friendship!

We hired Community Builders last fall '18 to do a huge kitchen remodel. Which included removing walls, moving duct work, plumbing, electrical. Installing new doors, lighting, cabinets, quartz counters, subway tiles, a huge island, hardwood flooring, new pantry, & casings. Our kitchen has truly transformed from cramped & outdated to Spacious, Gorgeous & Inviting! Comm.bldr., walked us through the entire process. Community Builders worked on a major update to our kitchen, powder room and family room. CB was fabulous . David Minor does the construction part; Wife Valerie ensures the back end and project management go smoothly. David is a hands on perfectionist who ensures things are done right and on time. He is a great problem solver and can figure out solutions when things aren't straightforward. David was often on site for hours to ensure things went smoothly, He checked in daily on days he couldn't be there, He and Valerie have good design sense and are honest, straightforward and principled. We hired David and Valerie to do a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel. We've been incredibly happy with their work and they will definitely be our go-to contractors for future projects. Being first time home owners who've never tackled anything like this, we were very nervous to start this project. After interviewing several contractors, we finally met with David and Valerie and immediately felt more comfortable with them than any of the others. They provided us with the most thorough quote so we could see where money would be allocated, and they were very organized in communicating what to expect before and all project long. David was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the work being performed and when issues popped up, came up with creative solutions to each one. The sub-contractors they brought in were wonderful too, and were respectful of our home. We felt Community Builders gave us the extra hand holding and complete project management we needed - they are also very nice humans who went above and beyond! We are so happy with the work they did in our master bathroom and bedroom! Dave and Val worked with us every step of the way to make sure everything turned out just how we wanted it. They are great communicators, so we knew exactly what was happening and when it was happening. From initial contact to completion of the job our experience with David and Valerie was excellent. David was great to work with! My wife and I originally thought we could manage our basement renovation ourselves and quickly found out that we needed someone to take point and manage the project. Dave is my go-to guy for all of my remodels and housing catastrophes. I don't have anything but positives to say about him. First, he is reliable. He will be there when he says he will and will let you know how the project is going, where his is in the progress and when the next step will be started. He is good at putting down on paper what he will do and what it will cost. If there are surprises, he lets you know what is going on and what needs to be done to deal with it. He has great ideas for how to make things work and he is able to come up with ideas when I don't know exactly what I am trying to accomplish. When he is done, the job looks great, works, and the site is clean. Finally, he is just a good guy. You won't go wrong with Community Builders.

Dave Minor of Community Builders has done some great work for me. He was easy to work with and incorporated my design ideas flawlessly. On the first job, he updated my kitchen with quartz counter tops, and a Dacor gas stove, and all the necessities. The second project was my bath, shown in his picture gallery. The cherry cabinets and aqua color. My friends all love it and say it looks like a spa. The shower is great. The third project was my husband's bath. I turned out just as nice as mine. Dave is reliable. He shows up on time and finishes in the time frame he planned. I have recommended him to many of my friends.

We hired Community Builders to regrade our backyard and construct two retaining walls. Receiving the permits from the city proved to be challenging but David was prompt to get started as soon as we got the okay from the planning department. He and his subs were all very friendly and professional and the work was done well. The project was completed on budget.

Dave has done extensive remodeling in two of our full bathrooms and in our kitchen. We have been quite pleased with his work.

David helped us remodel our kitchen, and from start to finish it was a positive experience. David's wife helped us begin the process with design ideas and shared insight into creative storage ideas and color schemes. David was patient with us as we took our time to begin the project. We enjoyed having David in the center of our home as the project commenced- he's a very kind person with positive energy and was fair and professional. We had a wall removed, moved plumbing, lighting and electricity and completely redid the cabinets. We would definitely have David complete additional work for us in the future. We now enjoy our new kitchen and couldn't be happier.

David is a real professional, good listener, great problem solver and very nice guy. He remodeled a boring open space in our basement into a neat guest room and full bath. He worked very hard to accommodate all our requests within an extremely tight timeline and at a more than reasonable budget. The finished result is absolutely beautiful and everyone who stays there loves it. Especially we receive a lot of compliments for the bamboo patterned vinyl floor that he picked out for us. He listens and understands your requests quickly, and also has good ideas when you want his advice. More recently, we worked with him to redo our kitchen window and are once again very happy with his work. We will definitely work with him again for future projects.

Community Builders did several home repair projects for us when we bought a home in West Seattle. David Minor was fair, knowledgable, and prompt with communication. The fence and railing projects were required by insurance and David found economical and lasting ways to fulfill our needs in those areas. We bought the house with a major problem with the basement bathroom and Community Builders did a wonderful job replacing a window, building a new wall, and putting in a new toilet and sink. The plumbing under the sink leaked. David was great about getting the repairs completed and communicating with us during the project.
