Dekofino Bathroom and Kitchen

I cannot believe my good fortune in finding a contractor like Patrice on Houzz! We were lucky that he was between jobs in Dec '23 and from the start I felt that I was in good hands with Patrice. He is a meticulous craftsman with an artistic eye, qualities that are rare in today's hurry up, instant result world. Patrice started the remodeling of our two bathrooms and we were so happy with the results that we added the kitchen as well. I was a fabric designer and I really enjoy bouncing ideas off someone who has a design background. What we came up with fits the architecture of the home as well as our lifestyle perfectly. Patrice knows all aspects of construction, so when some unexpected issues with water intrusion arose during the heavy rains of last winter, his was the advice we listened to. Rest assure you are in good hands with DekoFino!

Hiring Patrice to remodel our master bathroom was a great decision. He helped us with design choices, and even went tile shopping with us. Patrice showed up every day on time, and finished the job on time. Patrice takes great pride in his work and the quality truly shows in the results. Everyone who has seen our bathroom thinks it's beautiful. I'm know I can be a pain in the a$$ with all my questions and concerns, but Patrice was very thoughtful and patient. Patrice and his crew do amazing work. He is very punctual, and takes pride in every detail of the job. He has tons of knowledge in every aspect of construction and will find great solutions that most contractors wouldn’t think of. He’s a thinker and skilled craftsman which is extremely hard to find! My husband and I purchased a new home with a kitchen that was literally falling apart. The cabinets were becoming unhinged and needed a serious update. We hired Patrice after calling a few of his references to remodel our kitchen. The references were outstanding. One reference actually said she had decided to not hire Patrice for a small job (scheduling reasons) and has regretted it everyday. That resonated with me so we made a good choice in hiring Dekofino. My husband and I have been frustrated in the past when prior contractors would take the easy route, or cover up mistakes poorly or outsource the work to someone with less experience. These are the sorts of things that can make or break a remodel. Thankfully Patrice does the work himself and it's beautiful work. I really like that he takes a lot of pride in designing, constructing and finishing his work. He has outstanding suggestions and listens to what you want and how you'll use the space. He is a lifestyle designer to match how you live - which really shows in the final product. There were a few times that we asked for something he wasn't so sure about, so he took the time to better design what we wanted and I'm so grateful! His work is refined. He has excellent taste and only uses high quality products. If you are thinking of hiring him -- you should! I'd hire him again and again! And I'm really picky!

We hired Patrice to remodel our outdated kitchen. My wife and I certainly want high quality work and in the past had always felt like prior contractors would take short cuts. But Patrice is one of a kind. He does incredibly beautiful work. He takes a lot of pride in designing, constructing and finishing the work he does. He is top notch and has outstanding suggestions. At times, I worried that our requests were going to be too demanding, but he was 100% professional at every interaction, providing guidance, examples and explanations. If there was something we absolutely wanted that he thought we may not be happy with...he reworked our idea and transformed it into something better leaving us VERY happy. His work is refined and his taste in the products he suggests are exquisite. He is a very good contractor who does beautiful work, on time and communicates the entire way through so there are no miscommunications. I'd hire him again and again!

I am absolutely thrilled with the work that Patrice did and would recommend him to anyone. Patrice and his wife are so friendly, hard working, and professional. The main project here was remodeling my kitchen and I am so in love with the cabinet and counter space we added. We replaced the existing kitchen with new: cabinets, Quartz countertop, lighting, hardware, refrigerator, dishwasher, faucet, garbage disposal. We also updated my 2 bathrooms. Both bathrooms have new toilets and refinished bathtubs/showers. My master bathroom was updated with new cabinet doors, quartz countertop, hardware, faucet and sink. Patrice was also able to install new mirror closet doors in my master bedroom and mount a TV for me. I would absolutely recommend DekoFino and would hire him again. (And in fact I have already contacted him to finish updating my 2nd bathroom.) I don’t have enough before and after space to show the bathroom so I will update those with my next review. I would also like to add that Patrice did an outstanding job finding solutions that worked within the regulations of my difficult HOA. Thank you DekoFino!!

We recently completed our beautiful kitchen remodel with Dekofino. Patrice has great design ideas. After our first meeting he came back with a complete plan and itemized cost. He only works on one job at a time. He and Sergio are excellent craftsmen, always here promptly each day, and extremely clean. You would never know that our remodeled kitchen is completely wheelchair accessible. We look forward working with them again next year to remodel our master bath.

We have used Patrice many times over the last decade. He always does a fantastic job with great original ideas and attention to detail. He is very thoughtful and generous with his time. He excelled himself this time with our new kitchen in Laguna Beach. In particular his design and execution of the kitchen island in our irregular kitchen shape was spectacular.

Patrice is wonderful. He has amazing taste and ideas. He is caring and clean and even helped when he was left alone with our precious dog Max. I can't say enough good things about Patrice. He redid 2 of our bathrooms and we decided upon 2 completely different look as they were for 2 teenage girls. We hired Patrice to remodel our bathrooms after interviewing three other contractors and know we made the right choice. He had to completely demolish our 1974 bathroom and reconstruct from the ground up. During the process he made endless helpful suggestions and his attention to detail and craftsmanship is outstanding. Patrice is easy to work with, always leaves the worksite clean, and has completed everything as quoted. One bathroom is finished, looks beautiful, and tomorrow he'll begin the second. We wouldn't think of hiring anyone else to do the job!

Amazing! !!!! Everyone who sees photographs or comes into our master bathroom is completely blown away! Patrice and Helene were extremely professional, from the very first phone call. Patrice came to our house to give us a bid and take measurements and showed up exactly time and day he stated he would. He had a storyboardand and itemized bid , prepared to show us in less than one week. He listen to all our wants and needs and stayed within our budget. We hired him. He started when he said he would and completed the job exactly what he said he would. He gave professional recommendations on color schemes and brands of products that he has used in the past that he knows works . At the end of every workday he left our house totally clean as if he was not there at all. There were no hidden fees no sticker shock he held our hand every step of the way and checked in at the end of every day to make sure everybody was on the same page. Helene was great at emailing us at the end of each week so we could see financially where everything was going. They are a great team Patrice is not only an excellent contractor he is an artist! We feel so lucky every morning we wake up and the first thing we do is see the most beautiful bathroom we could have ever hoped for. Thank you for making our dreams come true! We had Patrice re-do our powder room initially, and then we asked him back for a second job of adding a brick veneer to an entry, living, and dining room wall. While the powder room is small, he was able to complete all of the tasks required including tile, new plumbing fixtures, installation of a floating vanity, and even moving one of our wall pendant lights. He and his team did a fantastic job both times, communicated well throughout the whole process, and were very respectful throughout. We are very pleased with the work and I highly recommend him.

In short: Dekofino is the BEST. Don't hesitate, get a quote and just hire them. We had a great experience with Patrice and the rest of the Dekofino team on our master bathroom remodel. This consisted of replacing carpet with tile, installing a new vanity, below a reclaimed wood wall, with recessed medicine cabinets, blowing out a closet to set up a seating area, mounting of a frosted glass barn door for the bathroom, installation of a new toilet, new bathroom fan, installation of multiple recessed LED lights, and last, but not least, the build out of a beautiful larger shower (with gorgeous glass doors, shower niche), etc. PROS: + Professional + Timely. (Maintains overall project schedule and arrival times.) + Has a great eye and vision for [interior] design. + Nice + Clean (For example: They did a great job each and everyday cleaning up). + They did a great job at ensuring flooring was protected and other furniture was covered as they worked. + Can do it all. + Very detail oriented. CONS: – They are so good at what they do, you will end up having Patrice and team do more work (than you originally planned), extending the job by a few days and of course budget. (Like we did, in having them install new tile, new toilet and new bathroom fan/light in our spare bathroom -- after they finished our master bathroom.) – You will not stand for anyone else to touch your house. In conclusion, if you need a quality team to renovate your space... Go with Dekofino.

Patrice helped me transform my master bathroom into the beautiful, spa-like environment that I had dreamed about for years. Great at asking questions to solicit information about needs and desires. Suggests ideas to help those that do not know much about remodeling. Dekofino redid our bathroom last spring. The result is beautiful! I highly recommend this company and have several friends who hired them for their projects. The owner, Patrice, is very knowledgeable and conscientious. He actually worked on the job himself and supervised every aspects of the project. He has tons of great ideas and everything is done with real taste and competence. We need to redo our kitchen so I already asked him to come and help us with the design and to give us a quote. On top, he loves animals so him and our dog are best friends now ;)

Dekofino remodeled a secondary bathroom in our house. Patrice took the room to the studs and gave us a modern bathroom that is beautiful and functional. Patrice was a great partner in this from discussing our ideas and turning them into reality. His team was always on time and put a full day of work in and cleaned up after themselves each day. A TOTAL REMODEL AND I COULD'NT BE HAPPIER!!! I knew I wanted an open living space, hardwood floors and an updated kitchen and bathrooms. Patrice provided all of that with style and class. He removed the wall dividing the kitchen and living area to open the space. He completely gutted the kitchen, raised the ceiling and transformed a dated galley kitchen into a sheik and modern, functional work of art. Patrice's design skills kicked in where mine left off. He has a design sense that takes ordinary to extraordinary. Next I wanted to feel like I was going to the spa with lots of natural light in my master bath. Another total gutting and before I knew it I had a gorgeous spa bath with four new large operating windows, a large seamless glass shower, modern free standing tub, beautiful heated Travertine flooring and marble double sinks over elegant custom bamboo cabinets. This job was not small. It took several months of long hard days to complete. Throughout, Patrice showed nothing but professionalism. His knowledge in every element was thorough. His work is impeccable. I feel very fortunate to have lucked into choosing Patrice to do my work.

Dekofino has been instrumental in updating my home from bathrooms to kitchen and I couldn't have been more pleased. Patrice has an eye for design that surpasses most contractors and his enthusiasm for his projects is inspiring. Patrice is not only a good contractor but has an eye for color and design. He always leaves the work site safe and clean.Patrice is very conscientious with a strong work ethic. Patrice is much more than an excellent contractor, he is an excellent designer. He helps you to make your designs come to fruition and, if you need alternate ideas, he always has an excellent perspective to share. We completely remodeled both the master and guest bathrooms, down to the studs. New travertine shower surround, walls, floors and lighting in the guest bath. Travertine tub, shower surround, tile flooring, lighting and Venetian plaster in the master (and guest) bath. His work was meticulous. He is very attuned to the details such as appropriate tile spacing, fixture placement and ergonomics. Work commenced promptly each week day at 8:00 a.m. and often ended past 5:00 p.m. Clean-up and dust control were accomplished in a professional and efficient manner. We couldn't be more pleased with both the process and, of course, the finished product. We are already planning our next project (living room fireplace) with Dekofino.

For someone looking for a contractor in Orange County DekoFino is the only contractor we will now hire. Patrice has done everything at our house from major kitchen and bathroom remodels to new garage doors and a backyard dock. We once had a leak in our house that had nothing to do with the work Patrice had done at our house. He came over at 7PM on a Friday night from his son's birthday party to help us. You will never meet a more ethical person. I am very demanding with the smallest of details and Patrice has never second guessed any of my request. Patrice is now like a family member to us and everyone he works for. Simply put he is the best!
