Denny + Gardner were introduced to us by an acquaintance while we were in the middle of interviewing several other firms – we hired them on the spot. They completed two projects for us: (1) refacing our family room fireplace; and, (2) a complete redo of our entire kitchen. Jason & Norm are very experienced and professional and quite easy to work with; Lisa was introduced to us when she came onboard as the designer and showed a good eye for color and detail; and, Donny was always most-accommodating as project manager and did a great job keeping everyone focused. Everyone involved throughout the project were friendly and well skilled in their craft. Workmanship by all of sub’s was superb, with each one as neat and cooperative as possible. In projects like this, there are always a few surprises and ours was no exception but they were minimal and easily overcome by the team’s creativity. All-in-all, an outstanding company to rely on.

Mark believed in our project from the beginning. Mark understood our vision for the house and offered thoughtful suggestions along the way that were within reach. Mark was kind and patient throughout our build, he cared about our project, and he was always available when we needed to reach him. Mark led his team into building a home for us that feels warm and welcoming, far apart from competing contractors who just build houses. The team that built our home was outstanding. William, Mike, Johann, Kay, Ulysses, Fernando, Angel, Orlando and the rest of the crew are all good people who take pride in their work and make sure the work is done right. These guys work well together, they are extremely professional, they care about their work, they work hard, and they are very good at their job. Each of them paid attention to every detail and we felt that they worked on our house with the same care as if it was their own house. They took the time to get to know us and made us feel like we were the only job they had even though they had multiple projects at the same time. Susan in the office was friendly and efficient and she went above and beyond to make sure the administrative process went smoothly for us. The end result for us was a beautiful, comfortable and functional home with a great build experience. We feel so lucky to have worked with Denny and Gardner on our project and very highly recommend them without hesitation!

This is the third time we have used Denny + Gardner for home renovations. Each time the work has been outstanding! Jason Denny and Norm Gardner are two of the most professional, talented, and responsive contractors that we have ever worked with. This most recent project was kitchen remodeling. Their work transformed our kitchen from an older-looking dark space to a modern, bright, welcoming kitchen. They removed a wall to create an open concept and installed new countertops, redesigned the peninsula, and mounted a beautiful island range hood. They were quick, professional, and the work was impeccable - -everything was done on time and exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for friendly, reliable, professional contractors for home renovation, Denny+Gardner should be number 1 on your list!

We've worked with Denny + Gardner on several projects. They are extremely professional and very detailed oriented. We were very impressed with their craftsmanship and added artistic interest and care! We highly recommend them for custom projects and look forward to working with them again!

Denny & Gardner remodeled our large master bathroom , including removing a jacuzzi tub and stall shower and building a large, 2 showerhead, tiled, very large shower. They installed new tile flooring to the entire bathroom, replaced all cabinetry, built linen closet; installed granite countertops and ledge, bench in shower. Replaced all the lighting and repainted. The remodel went very smoothly, timely and professionally. We had previously used Denny & Gardner for a large remodel of our kitchen, dining room, living room and basement and were so happy and satisfied with their work, that we hired them for the master bath remodel without second thought. Everyone associated with the company is very responsive, polite, punctual, tidy, courteous, professional and expert at their trade. Customer satisfaction is their goal and they accommodate customers' preferences, choices, requests, etc. We have no complaints about either project Denny & Gardner have done for us. In fact we are thrilled with both and we would use them again if the need arise

Denny & Gardner was introduced to us by our architect Seth Ballard, of Ballard+Mensua. Jason Denny was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the project - profession and courteous, and understanding of our multiple interventions along the way from our condo association members. The project was the construction of a three-floor deck and entrance stairway at the rear of a historic condo building in Dupont Circle, DC. The quality of his team's workman ship was top notch, and although the project ran longer than expected, the condo association could not be happier with the result. Highly recommend.

Denny & Gardner are by far the best contractors out there in terms of value and quality delivered for the price that they charge. As a realtor with REMAX, I have worked with Norm and Jason on a number of projects to include: kitchen renovations, bath renovations, landscaping and deck projects, and whole-house remodels/renovations. They are fair, honest and very hard working. They can handle any scope of work, and take great pride in what they do. They are the only contractors that I recommend to my clients looking to renovate and/or improve their homes.

We have used Denny + Gardner on numerous projects and all of them have turned out excellent. Most recently we used Denny + Gardner to re-design our basement from ground up. We had water problems, mold and smelly basement with poor ventilation. Norm and Jason redesigned the plumbing to maximize ceiling height, added two intake vents to improve airflow along with vented doors to reduce the mold and smell. The entire layout was redone and the flow was excellent, we incorporated a complete gym, new full bath and a nice A/V room along a play area for our son. We continue to use this basement all the time and much more since the redesign. All the mold, water and smell issues were eliminated and the basement usage has increased ten fold. All of this was done under budget and on-time with excellent add-ons recommended by the Denny + Gardner team (e.g., built in bookshelf by main drain pipe, pocket doors with vents for gym for airflow, heavy duty shelves that wrapped around a walk in closet, etc). I cannot recommend them highly enough for any project including kitchens, bathrooms, decks, and major additions, which they have done for us over the past 12 years! Great team and easy to work with plus we have recommended them for many other jobs and all of them have turned out great!

They totally re-did our basement...they are fast, clean and no detail was missed. I will hire them again for our next project and have referred them to many friends and family.

I hired Denny and Gardner to remodel my master bathroom. They completely gutted the bathroom and removed the bathtub and enlarged the shower. Denny and Gardner completed all the work in a timely manner and quickly answered all questions and resolved any issues that arose. During the process, we decided that we needed permits for our peace of mind and Denny and Gardner did that for us. My husband and I love our new bathroom and daily it brings smiles to our faces! We have recommended Denny and Gardner to several people and will definitely use them again if we have an additional project.

Denny and Gardner are wonderful! We had a tree fall on our townhouse causing damage from the roof down. As we were working through the process of beginning repairs our entire kitchen, dining room, and living room flooded due to a frozen pipe. Norm and his team were life savers. Norm and his partners reviewed the damage and were able to give us recommendations on how to best fix it and make beautiful upgrades to our home in the process. Norm attended several walk throughs with me and our insurance agent which was incredibly helpful to be sure the adjuster included everything in the damage assessment...items I definitely wouldn't have known to bring up to the agent. Our agent even thanked Norm for including items he would have had to revise the adjustment to include! The design consultation provided by Caroline was so helpful! The crew working on the house was professional, quick, and did an impeccable job. Norm made himself available to us all the time responding to my numerous questions immediately. When our heat pump gave out during the remodel he was able to have it replaced the same day! We could not be happier with our new house! D+G finished our project on time and exactly on budget. Even though we were one of D + G's smaller projects they still treated us as if we were the most important client.

I was very pleased with everyone I had contact with at Denny and Gardner. From the designer to the project manager to the tradesmen, everyone was very courteous, punctual and tidy. I did most of the design myself, but it was nice getting feedback from Caroline. She was happy to meet me at a tile/granite/marble location that she was not familiar with to accommodate me. Jason was wonderful and always kept me "in the know" as to what was going on and what was going to happen next. The plumber worked some serious magic researching and installing the digital shower system I had chosen. The tiler also did an amazing job - very precise and gave some wonderful deisgn tips based on his experience. The electricians and painters did a very nice job as well. Everything was cleaned up everyday and I didn't feel as though we needed to live in a separate bedroom while the work was being done in the mater bath. It was fun hearing the guys get so excited about the fixtures I had chosen. I would definitely use Denny and Gardner in the future and have already recommended them to neighbors. They almost felt like part of the family while they were working here, often taking time to say hi and give high fives to my two children on their way in and out (and in and out etc).

Denny and Gardner recently completed a large addition to my home. They're professionals, completed their work with attention to detail, and in general were a pleasure to work with. I am a big DIY'er and they worked with me as I completed certain sections of my addition, and were able to work within my schedule.

This means open communication and honesty and striving for quality inside and outside of the walls. D+G are fantastic! We couldn't have asked for a better company to entrust with our project. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very cooperative. We embarked on a major renovation and addition to our house which included the kitchen, family area, and deck. The quality of their work is impeccable. They stayed within budget and delivered on time. They listened to our needs and concerns often providing helpful product and construction ideas. Denny and Gardner remodeled two bathrooms for us and we couldn't be happier with the results. D&G provided thoughtful and creative ideas on the design and the selection of materials. Denny and Gardner revamped our deck and created a screened-in living space. They did a wonderful job with a number of very creative small enhancements/ideas along the way that really added to the end result. One of those nice touches was installing stained bead board on the inside face of the roof so instead of looking at plywood, we are looking at tongue and groove. Jason, Norm and Brandon have great taste and a real sense of pride in their work. Detail oriented and creative is how I would sum them up. And the folks working at D+G have been there for many, many years...from the management to the carpenters, electricians, etc. Oh, and 6 months after installation there was an issue with one of he floor planks (timbertek) which was being pushed up from below. They came out quickly, found the issue, fixed the problem and there was never any doubt they would make it right.
