We would highly recommend Doug Moore with Derick Moore and Sons and will definitely use them again for any future home renovations. We renovated our kitchen in our 1930s home and could not be love the results more. Doug and his entire team, including sub contractors, were easy to work with and highly professional. They solved minor and not so minor issues that came up in renovating an older home with ease and at no additional cost. The entire team worked closely with us to ensure the results were exactly what we wanted; lending their expertise, while taking into account our wants and needs. We hired Derek Moore and Sons for our Master Bath project. We were not just doing a renovation though. Doug Moore of Derek Moore and Sons was hired to create a master bath out of an existing sunroom in our house built in 1892. The project posed both expected & unexpected difficulties and a lot of outside the box thinking, and there is nobody who was better suited for the job than Doug and his team. They showed up on time every day and were an absolute pleasure to be around. They came in on budget and we are extremely happy with the results. We have a completely unique master bath that would not have been possible without Doug. He was willing to listen to our feedback all along the way and was extremely communicative throughout the process. It was truly a team effort! Did I mention this took place while we lived in the house with our 4 year old twin boys & expecting our third child? Doug always managed to keep things calm & we never worried that things would be finished in a timely fashion. His work speaks for itself! We now have a gorgeous master bath that is truly a sight to be seen.

The best thing that any of us can ever say about our renovation contractor is "Yes, I would work with that company on future projects" and that is exactly what we say about Derek Moore & Sons. We have been involved in several building and renovation projects, over several decades, and I am happy to report that this kitchen and bath renovation, in our very old (challenging) Montclair home, was the most successful yet. The finished product is even better than we hoped for. Doug Moore worked with us every step of the way. If he thought we were making a bad decision, he said so. If I dreamed of some unusual twist (like opening up a hallway to my kitchen) he dreamed with me. The finished product is amazing. Doug's wife, Trish Moore, gave great style, lighting and color advice. Doug's subcontractors were also high quality (one solved a very difficult heating problem in that old house) and they were very respectful of our space while they worked on various rooms.
