We used Epic for kitchen extension and building an extra bathroom. Epic provides high quality service. The team is very friendly and skilled. They knew what they were doing and provided good advice along the way. The crew cleaned up everyday after work. We had no disruption in our daily life in a few months that the project was ongoing. We would definitely use them again if we have a new project in the future. Highly recommended.

We used Epic for our whole house renovation on our 100 year old home in Grandview. Although we had been warned that renovations are incredibly stressful, the process was actually enjoyable with Susan and Brad! They took their time to make sure everything was done correctly and beautifully. Susan was so helpful with design decisions early on, which is not typical for builders that aren't specifically design+build companies. They helped us to create the home of our dreams. We hired EPIC based upon a recommendation from Angie’s list and our architect. That recommendation never disappointed, both Bob and very Susan were available at any point to answer questions or direct us. Keep in mind, we live in Victorian Village, which is a hard place to renovate and they were flawless in their execution. Epic completed a two story addition on the back of our 1930s home, including a master bathroom and master closets, as well as building an interior entrance to our formerly outdoor entrance cellar. Susan was especially helpful and very savvy in helping to pick out the decoration/room finishes/fixtures. All in all, everyone involved was professional, skilled, and efficient. They completed our project in a timely manner, with good communication on reasons for any delays, but also in such a way that allowed us to have critiques/changes along the way. We were slightly over budget; however, that was due to choices we made and Susan and team were very helpful in providing information about cheaper options. The EPIC team is very professional and we would highly recommend them!

I recently purchased a tiny 1950’s home with an expectation to replace the outdated kitchen and only bathroom, and to move the laundry area from the garage to inside the house. When it came time to choose someone to do the renovation, I realized that my “tiny spaces makeover” presented some specific issues for a prospective contractor to address. First, with no useable bathroom or kitchen I would have to live somewhere else during the renovation. Therefore I needed to count on an accurate project timeline to help secure other living arrangements. In addition, living away from the house would pose questions of security and worker access, plus I wouldn’t be around to see the contractor on his daily visits or talk with the workers. I needed to hear specifics of security as well as how regular updates and questions or concerns would be communicated. Second, since my house is on a slab, I knew that to upgrade the bath and kitchen plumbing, some of which is imbedded in concrete, plus add supply lines for an indoor washing machine, could be very costly. Yet, if possible, I also wanted to add a small screened-in porch off the kitchen. Could anyone do all that without going over my budget ceiling? Finally, I was very interested to hear how my recent investment in brand new wood floors, all of which surrounded the renovation areas, would be protected from construction traffic and debris. I planned to choose a contractor based in part on how that person planned to address these issues. I vetted several contractors and finally chose Bob and Susan Dyas of Epic Group Ohio. They gave me a reasonable project time line and ultimately finished two weeks early. Bob came up with an acceptable plan to provide secured access for all workers, and never once was there a problem with his system. As he promised initially, Bob faithfully emailed me a weekly schedule of work to be done and updated it as needed. Every time I asked him to meet to answer questions or concerns he did so when it was convenient for me. He and Susan handled most communications through texts or emails and were always very timely and prompt in their responses. Before they ever gave me a budget or I paid them any money, Bob had their plumber, electrician and architect visit my home for cost estimates and Susan met me at their recommended suppliers so she could get an accurate picture of product allowances. Their proposed budget included everything I wanted at a price I could accept, even including the porch, and in the end changed only slightly because of minor add-ons I’d made. And, to speak to my final concern, when asked at the end of our initial meeting what would be the most challenging piece of my project, Bob sat back, pondered a moment, then answered: “How I can best protect your new floors.” No other contractor I interviewed had mentioned it. I knew then that he and Susan were good listeners who would care about the work they did in my home. How true my first impressions proved to be! Besides addressing all the issues I previously described, I can say with confidence that Bob and Susan are consummate professionals well suited to their separate roles. Each brought along skilled workers or knowledgeable vendors to work with them, all of whom were friendly and willing to put in extra efforts to meet my requests. I agree with all the compliments paid them by other reviewers here and would emphasize two: one, Bob is a stickler for detail. So am I but he usually was working on the correction before I could even point it out. This is the kind of oversee you want on your project. Second, they are both just really nice people. And it shows in all their dealings with their clients, crew, and suppliers. As one person remarked, “They are a joy to work with.” I couldn’t agree more. I love everything they did to transform my home. I highly recommend them and would encourage anyone to use their services.

We completed a kitchen renovation with Epic Group recently. We had a fabulous experience. We selected Epic Group based on a referral. The biggest part of our project was to paint our existing cabinets white and island cabinets gray. Susan and her team have an expertise in painting cabinets and they look brand new for over half the cost of new cabinets. We also switched out our backsplash and countertops and installed a new sink and range hood. Every contractor that came into our home was respectful, clean and very good at their job. Susan managed them beautifully and was a great communicator. I always knew what was happening and who was coming to my home. Working with Susan was so much fun and every aspect of our job was professional. We LOVE our new kitchen and look forward to working with Susan and Epic Group again!

We wanted a master bedroom suite and Epic Group delivered. Bob and Susan are a force! We appreciated their thorough and helpful approach and attention to detail. Susan is so creative and has great vision to guide you through all the decisions . Bob is just "on it." Nothing escapes his attention and the team he put together was, well, Epic! When people look at the outside of our house, they have trouble seeing where the old ends and the new begins. Our new suite is better than we dreamed it would be. "In Dyas We Trust!"

We purchased our home knowing it was going to require a kitchen upgrade as well as a second story bedroom addition. After vetting three reputable contractors in the area, we decided to go with Epic Ohio. Bob and Susan were not only approachable during our initial meeting, but they didn't attempt to oversell us on ideas that we weren't interested in or pressure us into what they 'thought' we needed. Very refreshing! As a work-from-home employee, I was nervous about having sub-contractors traipsing through our home all day, but Epic works with the best in the business. They were courteous, respectful and polite! We had a few pop-up situations throughout the transformation but Bob and Susan took care of them right away so there was very little back and forth on our part as the homeowner. We wrapped on our project ahead of schedule...I will wait while you read that again. Ahead of schedule! Epic kept a tight timeline and there seemed to be work constantly happening at our house. As a homeowner, living through a remodel, seeing consistent progress is an awesome thing! We are thrilled with the finished product and our house now feels like a home. Thank you, Epic Ohio!

We did a 2 story addition and remodel to some of the existing home. At least a year before we even started the addition, Bob and Susan Dyas spent a great amount of time working with us prior to us even contracting with them for our project. We felt they did a great job explaining to us the different ins and outs of working with our city to get permits (which they handled for us), finding an an architect, collecting bids for review and working with the bank. The knowledge they provided was helpful and calming considering all of the variations of doing a home addition and remodel. Once we finally signed the contract, they were patient with us in making our final decisions and helped us work through a few changes. Bob and Susan both communicated with us almost daily on progress. They met deadlines that were within their control and communicated with us on work that was out of their control. They have professional crews that work on every different stage of the project and when I say professional they preformed the work as if it was their own home. The even treated our 6 and 3 year old well. Especially considering our 6 year old son just wanted to help them. They will also be as involved as you would like them to be, meaning if you wanted them to pick something out on your behalf they would, or they would step back and let you bring something you found on your own. I felt we had a nice combination of Bob managing the job, Susan managing the design and us managing the final outcome. Bob has a great understanding of the construction and Susan has an extensive knowledge of design elements and helped a great deal helping us pick the kitchen, bath and flooring and keeping us within our budget as best as possible. The whole team gave great information but knew exactly when to let us make the final decisions. We got exactly what we envisioned and would not change a thing. Epic group has a great team, great work ethic and were wonderful to work with!
