I remodelled my Kitchen and Baths with F.A.Design Build and the end results were amazing!! All the crew members worked for my project were perfectionists and they were ready to please me and I am very appreciative for their fine efforts Everyone who walked into my kitchen loved it. FA Design Build recently completed bathroom, closet, and recessed lighting renovations for us and we are very happy with their work. Our designer, Nate and Project Manager, Edwin worked closely with us throughout the project and kept us updated. They listened closely to what we wanted to accomplish, and the final result is quite stunning and exactly what we had hoped for. The work crew was very skilled, professional and friendly as well . We would gladly recommend FA Design Build.

FA Design and Build is the worst design and build company I have ever dealt with. They are only about making money via change orders. They give you incorrect estimates which looks attractive in the beginning but later you keep paying them in constant change orders. The designer Melissa made many mistakes in the design of our kitchen remodel. The project manager Dylan is really useless, and a major overhead from cost perspective. His primary job as explained to us was to communicate and provide correct status to the customer and remove any hurdles. We had to really beg for status and communication from him and FA and then they would provide some half ass status. We as customer would find issues in the project and plan which this dude should have found as a project manager. If the customer starts managing the project then why the heck we need to pay for this guy. Then, FA sub contracted the work to this dude, Jose and we were told that this dude grew up in his profession as a plumber and he was responsible for water leaks in my home during the construction and neither FA nor this contractor wanted to take any responsibility of water leaks. Because of FA and this contractor we had to rip out our new floors and redo the floors again. We had to again shout and scream at them so that they would accept the fault that they caused the leak. This contractor and FA cheated us of $4000 for putting in plywood over subfloor even though it was not required and of course this was a change order and not part of the plan. I got another flooring company and asked them to do the other side of the house, because if I would have asked these people to do any other flooring work they would have charged at least 3 times more compared to the other flooring professional. The other flooring company did fantastic job without plywood or change orders on the other side of the home and charged 1/3 of these guys were charging. The big boss Robbie, calls himself the chief of operations for our project and his only job is to collect money. After he collected the last payment the big boss did not even have a simple courtesy to say "Thank you" on the phone. If this guy, who is supposed to be a leader in this company, is so uncouth, then just imagine how bad his subordinates are and how bad this company is. So as you can see they call themselves "Flooring America" and their flooring work sucks, they don't do proper design, they dont manage projects properly but they charge more than others for their contracts. Do not go to them for flooring or any other work. These people cannot be trusted with anything and they are never ever allowed near my home again.

We can not praise this company enough. From the beginning of our project FA Design made it clear that our personal satisfaction was their number one priority. Stacey Peters and her team are consummate professionals who have such a personal touch that my wife and I never felt like our kitchen was just "another job" for them. Honestly, from our very first visit in their showroom till they were putting the finishing touches on our kitchen we felt cared for and taken care of by FA Design. I have zero reservations recommending FA Design to anyone.

We hired FA Design Build because they are a local, privately owned small business that provided exactly what we were looking for in a one-stop shopping renovation package. Over the last 18 months, FA Design Build renovated three (3) bathrooms, our kitchen and also refinished our entire hardwood flooring on the ground floor. Owner, Rob Menefee and his entire staff are "top to bottom professionals", who provide a wealth of knowledge, experience and guidance in the entire process from initial design to a turn key quality finish. More importantly, the entire staff are just as personal and family oriented as they are professionals. We consider their business as a personal relationship that is as lasting as their product. We are extremely proud and excited about our entire renovation project and highly recommend FA Design and their affordable quality services.

We remodeled our kItchen wIth FA DesIgn BuIld. Our desIgner, Stacey Peters was exceptIonal. She lIstened to us and presented us wIth many beautIful and functIonal desIgns and optIons. We decIded on a large (4 seat), drawer fIlled Island wIth CambrIa quartz countertops throughout. The Island has been a great enhancement. When I suffered a hand Injury, she suggested upgradIng the faucet to an automated one which Is a wonderful addItIon. We are very pleased wIth the fInal product and would defInItely use Stacey for future projects. The crew was pleasant and respectful.

This was my first experience with remodeling. My one bedroom, 5th floor condo was a total redo requiring complete gutting. FA Design Build helped every inch of the way, most importantly staying within budget. The team was exceptional at identifying additional storage possibilities, within budget fixtures, flooring, rugs, various upgrades even advising on paint colors. They handled all the required permits and inspections for the City of Alexandria and Condo Board. I was very impressed with the way the team removed all the old cabinets, sinks, counter tops, tubs, toilet and flooring. My neighbors commented on the professionalism of the team and team’s respect for the other residents. We attended a presentation at FA Design Build to plan a kitchen remodeling project. We were impressed by the knowledge and commitment displayed by their staff and by the results and recommendations from their customers. Ours was a major kitchen remodel, including the relocation of appliances and the relocation of a load-bearing wall. In addition, we replaced flooring on the entire first level, replaced the foyer staircase and railings and remodeled the powder room. Stacey, our designer really listened to what we wanted to do and came up with a great design to achieve it. She quickly had a great sense of our style preferences and made excellent choices and suggestions for materials and design. Kevin was great to work with in the construction aspects of the design. He did a nice job of balancing the practical with the style and of explaining the technical aspects of the job to us. Jamie, our on site construction manager, and his crew were very dependable, communicative and easy to work with. They were responsive to our needs and schedules and took pride in their work. As with any construction project, there were a couple of snags along the way. The real test of a construction company is how they deal with these issues as they arise. FA Design Build addressed the issues promptly and made sure that we were completely satisfied with the results.

Stacey, Jessica, and others at FADesign worked closely and patiently with me to capture exactly what I wanted my new kitchen to look like, including the difficult task of choosing the perfect combination for flooring, counter, and backsplash. They creatively and diligently resolved issues that arose during installation, and even issues that lingered after the project was complete. They took the time to include final touches I would not have thought of, like cabinet door stops and heavy duty pullout drawers. I definitely can say that the FADesign team takes pride in their projects and works hard to make their customers happy. As with any large scale project (and this was my first), make sure you review the design plans carefully -- especially electrical outlet/switch locations.

Master Bath Project After deciding to “Age-in-Place”, we received several estimates to renovate, our Master Bath, but none gave us confidence that we would achieve our vision. Then, a friend recommended that we attend FA Design Build’s presentation, meet their design and construction team, and discuss our project. Their process presentation was excellent, their team competent and professional, so we decided that we would benefit from their designer’s touch and professional contractor team. The design build team met at our home and listened while we told them what we wanted to achieve. They took notes, asked questions, made their assessment, and provided welcome suggestions. In two weeks, the team returned to present their design along with photos and specifications of suggested materials and products. They discussed options, and worked with us to select the products and materials we preferred that met our budget, while achieving our desired upscale “WOW” factor. FA Design Build offered a detailed, specific, contract which included everything we discussed, along with a reasonable down payment and progress payments. Their impressive high quality of workmanship and professionalism led us to request add-ons for installation of dining room and foyer wood flooring, new banisters and railings throughout, repair of family room wall and ceiling cracks, a kitchen pantry renovation, and a laundry room vanity. The on-site FA Design Build construction team consisted of an experienced project manager, a master carpenter, electrician, master tile setter, plumber, wall boarder, and flooring installer, who worked as a close-knit team with the designers to implement the project plan. We have achieved our goal of completing each project to our total satisfaction. My relationship with FA Design Build began when I attended one of their free design and remodeling seminars, and culminated with a completely remodeled kitchen five months later.
