We had Florida Designer Cabinetry design and install a bar for our enclosed lanai. It turned out beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The bar was installed while we were away. When we returned we were blown away at what an amazing job they did. There was no mess to clean up, walls to fix or paint. Everything was done. All we can say is 'it's been terrible." Our house was taken over on day one - by just one person. Not a company, not a team - one person - for weeks. He was unvetted, alone for the first time and working on a 150k plus project. After a month he was fired - but the problems continued - messes, damage to our home, total confusion, poor measuring leading to lost time and re-orders. Trash, huge tools and construction debris were left everywhere in our home - including against walls that needed to be re-surfaced and re-painted because of the sloppy, unprofessional worksite. Workers came at all hours, often without notice. When we were notified they often did not show up. The first "finished product" was horrible. It looked like a novice job. We had to fight to get it done right and basically take over the on-site management ourselves. The electrical and plumbing subs never knew what they were supposed to do. One electrician showed up and had to borrow simple items from us like a stud finder and WIRE NUTS. No less than 9 of our floor tiles were broken by workers. Walls were damaged and supplies were lost and broken and needed re-ordering. A two month project has now extended into the 5th month and is still not complete. Billing was erratic and confusing, we were double charged multiple times. The response: OOPS. Furniture was left covered in dust and debris, floors were ripped out where they didn't need to be and our garage became the company's private storage unit, when a construction trailer was requested multiple times. The owner of the company only stopped on-site two times - and both time were at our request to show him the problems. He never even inspected his workers' final product. In the end it has been the worst remodel experience we've ever had.

Florida Designer Cabinetry just completed a total remake of our kitchen. The transformation is stunning. This is the second time we have worked with Tony and Patricia, and should the need arise we would not hesitate to contract with them again. The Miralis line of cabinets is amazing. It offers beautiful styling, smooth functioning, and generous and efficient storage. The drawers, pullouts, and pantries are of superior quality for a price that is in line with the local cabinet makers who use not-so-great Rev-A-Shelf components. Tony's eye for detail is amazing. The undercabinet surfaces are finished to match the doors, and the lighting aligns exactly with the lighting of the undercabinet hood. Use of pop-up outlets keeps the look sleek and avoids interrupting the beautiful sweep of Vetrazzo that forms our backsplashes. The installers were incredibly precise and detail-oriented. We could not be happier.

We have the most beautiful kitchen in the WORLD and it was painless, pleasant, Tony and Patricia are saints and their teams are gold. This was an incredible experience transforming our Michigan 1970's home into the 21st century. We believe you increased the value of our home 200%....but we could never bear to leave it now....we LOVE IT. Tony is a hands on professional general contractor who was extremely pleasant to work with in the design of our kitchen remodeling. He has a great showroom with a significant inventory that made it easy for us to choose the style and overall look we wanted. He pays attention to detail and has the knowledge and courage to direct you away from bad choices. He was very easy to reach for the small unanticipated glitches. His main squeeze, Gus, is a first rate installer who will finish the job to your satisfaction. We were pleased with the quality of the work and the timeframe for completion of the project. I hired Poggenpohl Florida West for contemporary remodel of my kitchen in condo in Naples Fl. The company, from owner Tony to installers Gus and Todd to sub-contractors used, proved to be detail oriented, reliable, and quality conscious. There was timely coordination between plumber, tile guy, electrician, countertop crew and all required building inspections. I love the results and can highly recommend them.

We did not see the finished product till October. However, Tony sent us photos every week and written progress reports. We could not have been more pleased with the results. From our initial meeting to the final evaluation Tony was very professional and kept his word on every changes in the project. Nancy and I can't say enough positive about Tony and the other people in the Poggenpohl operation with whom we have me. So, before I delve more into the "office and design capabilities", let me lead off by commenting on Poggenpohl's absolute ACE installer Gus. Before Nancy and I arrived back in FL a couple of summers ago, our General Contractor called us in WA to tell us what a skilled professional Gus was as well as how much his folks enjoyed working with us. Gus has twice returned to our beach place to add elements. First we added shelves to our pull-out panty. Two weeks ago, Gus and Frank returned again to move out our washer/dryer cabinetry and the pantry by 1-1/2 inches to accommodate new machines that were deeper than our previous units. You can count of superior installation from these people. Back to Tony, starting with his design stills which are excellent. Nancy, Tony and finetuned two basic design schemes for our kitchen area, before we finally picked the one that made the most sense overall. The CAD work was very good. (This was before Poggenpohl added 3-D Design to its arsenal.) Tony was also fun to work with through the upfront process. A true gentleman. Always pleasant and responsive to our many questions. By the way, Poggenpohl proactively threw in electronic hinges that open and close our upper cabinets — much to our surprise. Not knowing the doors rose and shut by themselves with a finger's touch, we had to call down to Estero to ask why the cabinets has so much resistance when we were opening and closing them ourselves by hand. Tony laughed and told us how to operate them. Voila. I think this pretty much covers our thoughts about working with Poggenpohl and its superior product lines. We strongly recommend them. Moreover, our kitchen has become something of an attraction within the Boca Grande Club. That has turned out to be more downside than good as one might expect.

I found Tony and his staff extremely helpful when we were modifying a home that already had a Poggenpohl Kitchen and personalize it to our familys' needs. He had wonderful ideas for us.
