Replacing a 30+ year old couch and a beautiful but poorly chosen rug for living room given foot traffic seems straightforward, but with a world of choices we wanted help . Working with Miriam and Lily was great. Their team approach elevated the confidence we had in their recommendations. The opportunity to see their presentation on screen in their comfortable office, feel rug samples and select several to bring home, helped us make our decision. From there they kept us informed every step of the way and were there on day of arrival to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Gables & Pillows Design was the best decision we could have made during a very stressful time when our house was sitting on the market. These designers performed a complete overhaul and curb-appeal intervention, reimagining the landscape and hardscape to add utility. They saw the potential our lot had, that we could not have imagined. Miriam was especially knowledgeable, given her background in real estate (thankfully, my realtor knew her). She understood exactly what buyers wanted to see and collaborated so well with the sales team. We are so thrilled with the experience working with Gables and Pillows Design Studio! We had an older home with a dated, closed-off kitchen that desperately needed a fresh aesthetic vision. The Absolute crown jewel of the remodel is the architectural archway they designed to open up the kitchen. It frames the space beautifully, and the addition of the custom corbels gives an elegant historic character that looks like it was always there. They managed to give us a highly functional, modern chef's kitchen that still feels incredibly warm, timeless, and full of character. We cannot recommend Miriam and Lily highly enough!

We are absolutely thrilled with our experience working with Gables and Pillows Design Studio! We had original hardwood floors in our older home that were hidden under old flooring, heavily stained, and in desperate need of serious restoration. Others o suggested tearing it out, but Miriam and Lily saw the potential to preserve the home's authentic charm and character. They brought the same visionary expertise to our central brick fireplace and kitchen surround and suggested updating that as well. Glad we did! They meticulously restored and refinished a heavy, dated feature into a beautiful, historic focal point, complete with a new Concrete hearth. Additionally, they designed a sleek, vertical-paneled accent wall with modern lighting that perfectly bridges the spaces. Throughout the entire process, they were incredibly knowledgeable and professional. We got more than what we expected. They guided the renovation beautifully, seamlessly blending the original historic features with a fresh, updated design. Beyond their clear expertise, they are just wonderful, down-to-earth designers-- we genuinely enjoyed working with them from concept to finish. We absolutely love how our staircase transformation turned out! Replacing the old carpet with hardwood completely elevated the look and feel of our home.
