GHS completed a full renovation of a 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment for me. The space has been completely transformed from an unusable, inaccessible two-story shell to a beautiful living space. The team at GHS was great to work with. They helped take my ideas for the layout and built upon them. They handled everything from drawings to permitting all the way through to final inspection. I would be happy to work with the team again!

We called Grand Home Solutions after we fired a previous contractor. GHS came in and corrected everything we asked of them. They are real professionals who take pride in their craft and want to exceed their clients expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any renovations and/or creating a new living space.

Scott and his talented band of carpenters have completed several projects for us. They gutted and completely renovated three bathrooms in our home in Webster Groves, listening intently to our needs and reorganizing the space in creative ways to meet those needs and update our home. They guided us to great product sources, managed the subcontractors and inspections to keep the project on schedule and delivered the projects with meticulous attention to detail. I was especially impressed with their beautiful tile work. We also hired GHS to rebuild the stairs to our deck and to update the deck's style with metal banisters. That project turned out beautiful. I am quite sure all of the work they did helped sell our home.

We hired Grand Home Solutions to finish the lower level of our home; they did an excellent job matching the architecture design (archways and lighted notched accents) of the main floor. The design team worked with us and suggested wall sconces and surround sound audio speakers to enhance the media room / family room, as well as, a heated tile floor in the bathroom. They did a great job on the finish work with the molding mitered perfectly, I highly recommend Grand Homes Solutions and will use them again in the future.

This past year we had an extension put on our south city home that added an additional two bedrooms, a kids bathroom, and laundry room on the top floor. The team was professional and very attentive to the details and deadline I requested. The project came in on time and on budget.

Great company and excellent work.They completed a kitchen and eating area remodel. New cabinets, wainscoating, hood vent, exterior door and half wall. At the end Scott did a walk through and noticed even the smallest things that needed a tweak to be perfect such as covering the under cabinet lighting wires, leveling a cabinet door and a place on the back splash that needed more grout. He and his team take pride in doing a great job.

GHS was recommended from a friend that had used them several times on various types of projects. Work was very high quality both from the GHS team and the subs like cabinet and granite companies which were recommended by GHS. We were re-doing most of first floor and removing walls, etc so needed the idea and design support provided by GHS as well as the craft skill sets. Not a job for a homeowner. Workers on site were easy to deal with and prompt. They took care of all inspections and arrangements. Post job, a couple minor fixes and they had people out there to address. Kitchen looks great.

Excellent Service. Grand Home Solutions team is absolutely wonderful. Their in house carpenters/finishers make all the difference and take the stress out of waiting on outside subs to show up for the job! They kept the job site spotless and addressed all of our concerns. Project was right on budget and finished close to projected date. We now have the bathroom of our dreams!

Top notch customer service, high quality attention to detail, personable, professional, and cost effective. That's how I would describe GHS. Pros: Personable yet professional, highly skilled tradesmen, cost effective Cons: Timeline management - granted this was a big project involving some complex areas, some mid project additions, and St. Louis City (which slows everything down) Details My husband and I decided to build a house from the ground up. It was a challenging project as we both use manual wheelchairs so we wanted full accessibility without the hospital feel AND we bought our land in the middle of a historic district in St. Louis. Translation: challenges and red tape. We had several local contractors bid on the plans our architects drew up. Grand Home Solutions (GHS) came in on budget and after meeting with Scott and his team, we felt he understood and was excited about our vision. After a few months of meeting and tweaking (that historic district thing) we broke ground in June 2014. The projected date of completion was 7-8 months but we did not move in until July 2015 (a year). This was a combination of issues outside of GHS control (weather, city red tape, unexpected whole houses buried in our land, addition of some projects) and controllable issues. At times, it felt like GHS could have improved on planning the next steps to have the right material or the right sub ready to go. Some of this is the nature of subs and their schedules but some is communication. It also seemed that GHS, as a company, was growing at this time and this may have been part of the growing pains of managing more projects. However, during our project, organization and communication in this area did improve. Our project presented a LOT of challenges, a custom home with lots of accessible design features. GHS never tried to push me to an easier solution or option in regard to merging function and design. They were always willing to brainstorm and go for the option which would best suit OUR needs. Overall, GHS did a great job of communication on all levels. The owner is approachable and reachable. I was also able to reach support staff by phone and email with quick turnaround times. I communicated regularly with the foreman on our project. GHS gets a solid A for communication. Budget was super important to us and there were a variety of difficulties in staying within that budget. A zero entry house, an elevator, some custom accessible cabinets, that unexpected underground house I mentioned all equal more $$$. The GHS team worked diligently to keep cost down and to find quality, affordable subs. This is another area which delayed our timeline but was worth it for the cost savings. The best example is that the original concrete (we have finished, stained concrete floors) contractor was injured and unable to complete our job. Most of the new quotes where significantly more expensive and would have killed our budget. The GHS team worked so hard to find a good concrete sub who would complete the work for the same price. Quality of work is top notch. GHS showed high attention to detail and the foreman was more than willing to answer my questions and explain things I did not understand. The entire team has been responsive even after moving in to answer questions or provide solutions to typical home owner issues. GHS values high quality work and maintain a budget and will sacrifice some timeline in order to achieve this, which, now that we are done, I appreciate. Overall, we enjoyed working with GHS. Sure there was some challenges , but that’s building anything for ya. The quality of workmanship, attention to detail, dedication to budget, and customer service where so good that we are already planning to have GHS add a screened porch on! If I was giving grades, I'd give GHS an A- as a result of some time management/organization challenges throughout the course of the project. If you are looking for a local contractor who will treat you as a lifelong customer, then I would recommend GHS. In reading reviews, I often want to be able to ask questions of the reviewer.
