Judy's attention to detail saw issues that we initially did not anticipate and in our renovation allowed us to consider more options. When we decided to move forward with the remodel of our kitchen and two baths, we started by obtaining a list of the top 20 residential contractors in Atlanta. After interviewing each by phone, visiting the companies’ websites, reading online reviews, checking client references and reviewing the Better Business Bureau profile of each company, Handcrafted Homes rose to the top. The reason for its sterling reputation was evident from the first meeting. The sincere professionalism displayed by Judy Mozen and her team was extraordinary. They truly listened to what we wanted and, using the expertise gained from their broad and extensive experience, were able to offer suggestions that brought about an end result that far surpassed our expectations. Their knowledge of project management from initial design to all aspects of implementation was invaluable and they obviously take great care in hiring staff that echo their strong belief in professionalism, knowledge and high quality. Handcrafted Homes, Inc. showed great expertise in working with our established budget. They were excellent at guiding us through the process of decreasing costs on some items and using that surplus on others which allowed us to emphasize aesthetic or structural elements that enhanced the final result. The selection of sub-contractors was made easy by their recommending those with which they had previously worked and had vetted to ensure quality. I can highly recommend Handcrafted Homes, Inc. We have used them on several projects and they are very professional. Our last project was turning a master bath, closet and bedroom into a beautiful larger master bath and large closet. Judy Mozen designed the bathroom layout with attention to detail and scale. Randy, Judy and their team worked closely with us through the whole project. We were very happy with the end result and would highly recommend them for any project.

We have been extremely impressed with Handcrafted Homes creative approach and strict attention to detail and client satisfaction. They worked to create a Terrace Level for our home that is now the center piece of the home. If you are a busy professional that wants someone to focus on your project and care about it like you would if you had the time then Judy and Randy are your people.

We had water damage to our home. We had 4 contractors come in to give estimates. Even though Handcrafted came in as the highest, they were the only one who said they would work with our insurance company. They also had a good reputation and were highly recommended by a friend. The supervisors and subs who did the job were fantastic. Every phase was checked to make sure it was done correctly, which meant that Judy had to go twice to our insurance company to get more money, and she was successful. Judy also helped us with picking out certain materials that had to be replaced (like marble and tile) so her background in design really came in handy. Her partner (and husband), Randy, was very helpful in keeping track of all the expenses, making inspections of completed work, and if there was a problem, both Judy and Randy were there to get it solved. We are very pleased with our newly renovated home and so glad we used Handcrafted Homes for this project. We would use them again.

Framed and screened in our outside porch, added a hand rail to an existing set of outside steps, and repaired other external items as requested. I've found on 3 different projects their work is meticulous and the team performing the work very respectful.

Handcrafted Homes did an extensive renovation of the terrace level of my home, involving gutting rooms to the studs and adding soundproofing, insulation and a new HVAC system. They were wonderful to work with, prompt and responsive, and their craftmanship is exemplary. My stained woodwork is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. We have used various contractors over the years, but will only use Handcrafted Homes from now on. I highly recommend them.

Great to work with. Creative. Careful. They not only built our home ( a spec house), but have done at least five renovations, including a kitchen, master bath, and a playroom. Have worked with them for 30 years. Their sub-contractors work very well with them. We have and will continue to recommend them to others.

Judy and Randy (Handcrafted Homes) are superior contractors. They have extensive knowledge and are continually upgrading their knowledge base. Judy has been elected to leadership positions in professional organizations for the construction industry. They give a lot of attention to detail and will not accept inferior workmanship. They were constantly focused on my needs and what I wanted (as opposed to just getting the job done). Judy has both interior design and architectural design skill which were very helpful on my projects. I found HH to be sensitive to budget concerns, and they always operated with high levels of honesty and integrity. Initially I hired them to redo the master bath and soon added renovating the master bedroom, adding a bay window and a tray ceiling. Much to my surprise, they finished the job exactly when they said they would. I liked their work so much I then had HH add an entry portico and replace the siding on my house. The fact that both Randy and Judy are delightful personalities was an added bonus. I would definitely use them for any other projects at my house.

We hired Judy Mozen and Randy Urquhart of Handcrafted Homes (who built our house for the original owner) to help us get an unusually shaped plate glass window replaced. It wasn't long into the project that we discovered years of water seepage had seriously compromised the structure of the walls and floor in the entire room. Our house is contemporary in design and constructed of exotic rock, wood and glass making the task of replacing and matching the existing materials and quality difficult. Nearly 18 months, 14 tons of rock concrete and wood, walls, roof, floor and five windows later we had a beautiful new foyer. This was not without discomfort on our part, but what could have been a nightmare became a job well done in the expert hands of Judy, Randy and their teams. Countless contractors (hand picked for quality) structural engineers and gifted craftsmen were coordinated by Judy and Randy to make sure that the project kept rolling forward. Hours of research and design went into this job. A great deal of prep and clean up went into this project as well allowing us to remain living in our house comfortably during this time. Insurance was another issue as water damage has dubious coverage. Judy and her team put together all of the costs plus pictures and sat with our insurance agents to present our case. The result was that we did get a larger reimbursement for our claim and were educated enough in the process to seek out more comprehensive insurance in the future. It was not an inexpensive job but we now have many more years to enjoy our lovely home. I can say without hesitation that Judy and Randy were our advocates through every hurdle and decision that needed to be made.
