Have never had a more professional and skilled company work in our home. After another company badly damaged our home, Hartert-Russell came along and saved the day! They very skillfully repaired damage to our wood ceilings and were very kind and courteous while doing it. They not only understood what we wanted out of the repairs, but took into consideration our frayed nerves and distrust after the treatment we had received from the other company. I can highly recommend Hartert-Russell and hope to work with them under better circumstances in future.

We have hired Hartert-Russell for a variety of home improvement needs since 1998, including (but not limited to) wine cellar installation, basement waterproofing and a full kitchen renovation. Hartert-Russell is hands down one of the best, if not the best, general contractors in Nashville. The quality of work, product and professionalism are bar-none. I hired Hartert-Russell to do a complete remodel of my kitchen. They were outstanding. It took me a year to finalize hiring them, and it was the right call. From consultation to planning to execution, the project was professional, timely, and the workmanship was outstanding. They make their cabinets in their workshop and everything was done to perfection. They have fantastic sub-contractors and do most of the work themselves. I used them as both cabinet maker, designer, and contractor. My kitchen is gorgeous, functions well, and just what I had envisioned. Ian was available throughout the project and responded to all concerns and issues immediately. The onsite people were also outstanding, especially Caleb who oversaw the daily tasks. Chris did the drawings and planning and spotted many issues that were addressed prior to project start. The cabinets are gorgeous with amazing hardware. There were no major problems and I was kept informed about my project. The planning, precision and pro-active approach along with the professionalism of the company made this one of the best decisions I have made. I would use them again for any home remodel project. The craftsmanship of their cabinets is extraordinary and I recommend them without reservation.

The craftsmanship and design were exceptional. Ian and his team made the process of agreeing on the type and style of the cabinets for the entire house a pleasure. Whenever we have company they comment on the look of them. Haven't seen them in any other homes. They are friendly, funny, creative and honest. Loved working with them.

My wife and I were introduced to Kevin & Ian by our architect. We were designing a substantial addition which included both indoor and outdoor spaces. After interviewing, we selected Hartert-Russell for the project. The work was excellent: high quality, in-budget & on-time. The H-R staff is always qualified, polite & professional. They are among a very small group that my wife will permit in the house when I am not there. Since the original project, we have completed a master suite remodel and have just launched a kitchen remodel that will complete in the fall. They did our kitchen spectacularly. Though we are pleasant, never demanding or difficult, we are none the less very particular and certain in our decisions, even when they are counter to how "everybody else does it". Kevin Russel and his team were always open and accommodating to our needs, and took every road bump in stride. They built us a semi-custom kitchen that looks and functions every bit as beautifully as one costing twice the price.

Hartert-Russell designed, built and installed new kitchen cabinets. They worked with me and my contractor to create the right look and space, and were just as concerned with quality as I was. They rejected a shipment of beadboard because it wasn't up to their standards, even though it put them behind schedule. They came out to measure many, many times, to check accuracy.They were always accessible, extremely friendly and easy to work with--whether I was dealing with the head of the company or the guys who did the installation. The cabinets are gorgeous and beautifully made. I highly recommend them.
