We had significant damage to our house, fence, and garden retaining wall due to a speeding car hitting our property. Home Restoration Services was the contractor to complete the repairs. The accident was in the winter, so most of the repair work on the house and garden could not start until the spring. The garden retaining wall was replaced as soon as the ground thawed, which enabled me to have my garden. The house repair had to be repaired sequentially. The damaged stucco had to be removed first. Then new windows, glass block windows, and stucco work. Our house was returned to pre-accident condition and looks like new. Home Restoration Services has a excellent work ethic, very conscientious, easy to work with. Lots of moving parts with this repair, and all flowed smoothly. Highly recommend.

We have hired Home Restoration Services for many home projects from bathroom, kitchen, basement, garage and other remodeling projects. Greg kept us updated and informed about every aspect of the many remodeling projects. We are very pleased with the quality of workmanship and timely scheduling of projects. I hired Greg to do a home addition on a 100 year old southwest Minneapolis home which involved the tear down of a small, one car garage, and the addition of a two car garage with a new master bedroom (complete with walk in closet and office/reading nook) over it, the conversion of an existing bedroom into a new master bathroom, and the conversion of a small flat roof area into a "roof deck". The project also involved matching existing tutor roof lines, tutor trim, and the addition of a hallway, driveway area, and some landscaping. Besides the addition of the spaces, one of my main goals was to have the addition look like it was part of the original home and not an add on. The result is perfection! Greg took great care in the design, construction and every detail. The new space is exactly as envisioned, full of windows and light. Each area includes detailed trim work, etc., to match the 100-year old ones that look original, new and classy. Greg pays great attention to detail and aims to please. He takes delight in the results. His partners are all skilled and excellent craftsmen, and are very pleasant to work with and have in your home. I highly recommend Greg for his attention to detail in the remodeling of an older home consistent with its original design, excellent work, and competitive pricing. He is also attentive to the homeowner's concerns, needs, and opinions and a joy to work with. My project is everything I hope for!

Greg took on a tough assignment -- bringing back a kitchen and downstairs living area badly damaged by a dishwasher flood. His crew was timely and responsible and Greg was especially careful with details. He understands the challenges presented by older homes and is careful to be sure things are restored in keeping with the vintage of the house. He made sure all was cleaned out and ready to go when everything was finished. He kept in touch frequently to update progress and communicate schedule changes and unseen challenges. I recommend him highly and would definitely call him again.

Greg and his team were great to work with for our basement remodel. I had already seen his work as he had done my parents’ kitchen and bathroom remodel and knew he did quality work. Discussing our ideas before the project started was easy. Greg was even eager to work in our request for a dedicated room for our cats’ litter boxes, including a small cat door incorporated into the wall (something I’m sure he had never done before!) We had some strange structural elements (unmovable steel support beams) that Greg was able to work with and everything was completed and looked seamless. Greg and his team obviously take pride in their work, and it shows. We’re so glad we worked with Greg and would certainly do so again.

This is the 3rd project Greg has done for us. A basement finishing, a front porch addition and now a significant addition including a kitchen remodel/expansion and an additional bathroom. The house is approximately 100 years old. Throughout the project the house provided a few surprises, but Greg worked through them to assure the quality and character of the old home stayed intact while bringing in the modern conveniences of today. Our house has become a much more functional and welcoming home and we could not be happier with the result.
