Jan Neiges is the consummate professional. During the first meeting, Jan explained her role in our kitchen renovation and was extremely clear about the project scoop, billing, product management, timeline, payment schedule, and services; how refreshing! Jan listened to our ideas, and, with her extensive knowledge base, made innovated suggestions concerning ideas and details that we never even considered. We wanted a kitchen that was functional, tranquil and uncluttered. The AutoCAD drawing which she created was spot on. Jan accompanied us to several businesses (appliance, cabinetry, backsplash, sinks, knobs, etc.). She patiently and continuously answered our questions concerning information about materials, durability and design features. Jan had us meet the owner of Green Line Construction, LLC, Mr. Henderson, who has 25 years’ experience. They both worked together seamlessly. Mr. Henderson took full charge of hiring the specialty sub-contractors, and was on site throughout the project. He not only scheduled every worker, but also was responsible for taking care of the payroll. All workers were polite, efficient, and professional. Everyone cooperated with no conflicts whatsoever. Our new kitchen meets all of our criterial. The adjective used by family and friends to describe it is “elegant”. Renovations can be daunting, but this has been a very pleasurable experience. We just completed a kitchen remodel with Jan, and could not be happier with the results. On Jan's initial visit, she not only evaluated how we use the kitchen, but also how we use the other rooms in our house. We always wanted a mud room upon entering from the garage entry door, but never thought our house could have room for one. Jan suggested just moving our dining room furniture from our existing dining room, to a large front room which we were not using much, just to see how we liked that as our dining room. We couldn't believe how much better traffic flowed with that change. After living with that change for a bit, we were ready to commit to converting our old dining room into a new mudroom/pantry area. We never would have thought of that if it were not for Jan. The rest of the kitchen layout was equally as creative. Jan suggested moving our garage entry door over the width of a fridge, and that allowed us to move our fridge, greatly improve the traffic flow in our kitchen. We also had an awkward window seat area that was never comfy due to being slightly too high and narrow. Jan suggested turning the area into some cubbies for storage and laying counter top material over the cubbies to make room for plants in front of the large picture window. The "plant shelf" is one of my favorite parts of the kitchen. The whole layout that Jan presented to us was better than we could have imagined. Aside from providing us a great kitchen layout, she coordinated communication with the general contractor, provided detailed plans for ordering cabinetry, and did walk throughs with our general contractor making sure all the small details were covered. During the actual construction process, Jan also helped us decide what to do with construction challenges. For example, upon trying to remove one of the soffits we were planning to get rid of, a bunch of wires was discovered. We assumed we would have to put the soffit back the way it was, but Jan suggested making a soffit out of walnut to match some floating shelves we had in the kitchen. That decision ended up adding such an interesting design feature to the kitchen, and I love it. Jan was always super responsive to emails/texts and we always felt we could send a text to get her advice. Overall, we had a wonder experience with Jan and would highly recommend her.

We had a great experience working with Jan. Our house is older (1920s) and the kitchen was closed off, a little dark and didn't function well for us. We didn't have a prescriptive design in mind ahead of time, just more modern & open without losing the character of the house, which gave Jan the freedom to push the design boundaries a little. We were impressed with the multiple design options she delivered - not ones we would have come up with, and she had also listened to what we liked, what we didn't like and took note of our (slightly different) design aesthetics and blended it all really well. She also listened to our feedback and made changes to get the final design just right for us. I would highly recommend doing the 'Design Day' with Jan too. We learned a ton and felt investing that extra time was well worth it in terms of getting to the end design we did (e.g. I would never have thought to go with dark, flat panel cabinets). She also gave great advice on the space we needed (and didn't need) for cabinets, on function (what's useful, what's gimmicky) and made design suggestions on everything from floors, to hardware, to tile, to open shelving. She also helped elevate our mid-project idea for a living room fireplace reface so that it looks like it was part of the design from the start. Jan is a no nonsense professional, which we both appreciated. She also has great vendor contacts - all were high quality and took their time with us. She also recommended the general contractor, who we were also very happy with. Overall, we are really glad we worked with Jan on our kitchen remodel - she really helped bring it to the next level. We love how it came out and definitely recommend her.

Jan helped us with a multifaceted remodel that touched most rooms in the house. Our new kitchen makes me smile every time I walk into it and that is all because of Jan!!! Jan listened to our initial ideas of what we were looking for and expanded on those ideas to give us more than we had ever envisioned. Jan is truly amazing!! This is the second time we used Jan's design services and this time it was for a complete remodel of a 1980's mountain condo that was never touched. After listening to what we wanted Jan's creativity took over. She took our ideas and took them to another level. Through the entire process Jan always listened to us, was beyond patient, guided us through the process and took the reins especially when we were having issues with our contractor. On multiple occasions without blinking an eye she offered to make the long drive up to our condo to ensure everything was installed correctly and when there was a surprise pipe position issue behind one of the kitchen walls she made to the design change on the spot. Any email or call was answered immediately and any issue was handled without hesitation. If you have any remodel or renovations in your future contact Jan! Jan was able to put my haphazard thoughts into a plan which incorporated everything I wanted in a new kitchen. I highly recommend her to anyone who is doing a remodel job, particularly a kitchen.

Jan was quick to respond, very honest about what options I had and while my project wasn't the best fit for her, she referred me to several people that I could talk to about the project I wanted to have done at my house. In this day & age it's rare to find someone who is willing to offer to help & provide honest advice. I will be passing her name to friends.

We enjoyed working with Jan. She was organized and helpful every step of the way. The project went on and on because of delays on our part and then COVID challenges. She was patient and ready to move ahead with steps when we were. We appreciated the general contractor that she helped us find so very much, and he had excellent subcontractors that he brought. All of the work and attention to detail were excellent. She had appliance and plumbing sales people that she's worked with many times, and they too were knowledgeable and helpful all along. If we were restarting the project today, we'd definitely hire Jan again! She's responsive to concerns and questions, and we're very grateful to her that our kitchen/powder room/laundry project turned out better than we even imagined.
