We had a terrific experience working with Meghan at JGKB. Our project was a collaboration - she came with creativity and fresh ideas and was always happy to incorporate our ideas and changes. When we were brainstorming, she'd draw everything out by hand which was amazing because it made it much easier to see and feel the space as we discussed the different options. In the end, there were no surprises, it turned out exactly as we had hoped, and we're thrilled. We renovated a kitchen and master bath.

We needed professional help to design our new kitchen, and we found it in senior designer Scott Stultz from Jennifer Gilmer K&B. We gave Stultz full control of the project and only requested that he design a kitchen that would flow with our adjoining spaces. The result is magnificent! We recently completed a full kitchen and powder room redesign and renovation project with Scott Stultz of Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath (JGKB), and we could not be happier with Scott’s design ideas, creativity, and the final result. We recently did a complete kitchen remodel with the incredible design work of Meghan Browne from Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath. She did an incredible job of listening to our needs, evaluating our style sense, and finding solutions that maximized our space while making sure the kitchen matched the rest of the house. She introduced us to a great contractor as well that implemented her vision. We couldn't have been happier with this process. The end result is way better than we could have imagined!

Jennifer Gilmer and her team created my dream kitchen- light, airy, sleek, functional and timeless. Throughout the design process, the team worked collaboratively with me, listening to my initial ideas and then bringing me design options that incorporated and improved on them in unique and creative ways. Jennifer introduced me to wonderful new materials to use in the cabinets and countertops that are both beautiful and practical to maintain. Although the footprint of the kitchen didn't change, I have much more storage as a result of Jennifer's thoughtful design and creative cabinet shelving and inserts. Jennifer Gilmer and her team designed and installed a kitchen that continues to generate "wow" comments from all who visit. Most impressively, they worked to hold responsible the company that provided the under cabinet lighting (which we were told by the company would last our lifetime) and failed after four years. The lighting was embedded in the cabinetry making this a complex and challenging project. Gilmer convinced the company to replace the entire system and arranged for installation at no cost to us. We couldn't be more pleased with Jennifer Gilmer's advice, design, installation, integrity and commitment to her customers.

Our kitchen is the heart of our home. Sarah Kahn Turner from Jennifer Gilmer Kitchens listened to our needs, saw our vision, and transformed our hearth into a welcoming and beautiful spot where we can warm hearts, fill bellies and nourish souls. She then helped us turn our master bathroom and bedroom into a serene and beautiful oasis. But even that wasn’t enough, so we asked Sarah to renovate our Bethany Beach house kitchen and master bath. Our worst problem is we can’t be in two gorgeous JGK homes at once.

We loved working with Sarah Kahn Turner at Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath. She has tremendous expertise in high-end projects and was very easy to work with. The process was smooth and she worked hard to guide us every step of the way. We ended up removing a wall in the kitchen that we might not have considered without seeing her plans, allowing us now to enjoy beautiful views from every part of the room. We appreciated her close involvement during project execution and her skill at solving any unexpected problem that arose during construction. After doing several projects with Jennifer Gilmer (JGKB) for clients of mine, it was my turn to ask for HELP...we live in a COMPACT home that had a challenging small galley kitchen...we are a family of "foodies" and working without getting in each other's way was impossible. Jennifer to the rescue! Her kitchen design work resulted in a fantastic plan that gave us more counter space and storage than we could have imagined....her attention to detail is extraordinary. I've been an interior designer for over 35 years so needless to say I had some strong opinions. Jennifer, ever so respectfully, listened to my thoughts and ideas for design and, when a new inspiration came, for revisions. We just completed a full kitchen and powder room renovation and could not be more pleased with the results and the experience. We have done numerous renovations in the past, and none has been so seamless and gone so smoothly from end to end. We worked with Paul Bentham, who friends had highly recommended. Paul was fantastic. He is a great designer that is a real pleasure to work with. We had lots of ideas for the kitchen, but Paul improved significantly on all of them. He is very devoted, produced drafts quickly, and was very effective at working within a budget. Whenever issues arose, Paul solved them, calmly and efficiently. At Pauls' recommendation, we hired Mike Thornton as the contractor. He was also sensational. The quality of his team's work is really top notch, and everyone was extremely pleasant. Mike is very responsive and really went the extra mile to make sure we were completely satisfied with every detail. They also did a great job minimizing the impact to the rest of our house. We've never had a better experience with a contractor.

I have only wonderful things to say about Paul Bentham and Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath and their work on our kitchen and bar area. From the moment we met Paul, he worked diligently and exhaustively on every last detail, and was beyond patient with the multiple changes that we asked for in the design project. He had great ideas and captured what we were looking for better than anyone else….he also wasn’t afraid to say he didn’t like some of our ideas and reminded me a bit of Chef Gordon Ramsay of kitchens. We also considered Reico, Stuart, Bray and Scarff, Modern Style Construction’s whole sale approach and a few others. Paul Bentham was probably the most expensive of all the people we considered, but probably the best as well. I like working with Paul B. and would consider him on any future job. Next we choose the General Contractor: Modern Style Construction – We worked with Sergei Tsoy. Sergei’s proposal was a flat labor fee for everything we wanted and then the materials were purchased by us or by him with a set markup. This was unlike anyone else we considered and gave us a sense of breathing room. We also considered Reico, Bray and Scarff, Four Brothers, Stuart, and a few others. Sergei was easy to do business with in terms of communications, change orders, fine tuning proposal to meet job site requirements, and he was very timely. Planning what you want and how things will look will take time and require countless iterations. Construction is messy and mistakes and problems will come up – what sets contractors aside is how they handle them. Closing out a project requires quality assurance measures by the contractor and owner. It’s easy to get frustrated no matter how good the contractor is. I liked working with Modern Style and would consider them again on any future project. Then we choose the countertop supplier: Stone and Tile Works – This was at the suggestion of Paul Bentham. The end product came out looking great. However, two major mistakes were made, but to their credit they worked on it and made it right until we were satisfied. I’d definitely use them again nonetheless. Then we choose Kitchen appliances: Subzero / Wolf – To be honest we wanted Meilo, but they didn’t make a side by side 36” fridge. It was debate on exactly how much to spend on the appliances, but at the end of the day it wasn’t the place to pinch pennies. Next was the bathroom hardware: Porcelanosa – We went to the one on Rockville Pike and the place is a bit of candy store for folks doing renovations. All of the sales people are very professional and helpful with ideas. The bathroom tiles ended up coming from architectural ceramics. We worked with Nkili Sudah and she was great. Had lots of ideas.

Jennifer Gilmer and her team brought enormous design talent to our project, both in the aesthetic and practical aspects of kitchen design. We are thrilled with the results.

We have nothing less than the most glowing words to say about Paul Bentham and Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath and absolutely recommend them without reservation! Paul designed the new kitchen in our home and it is a masterpiece. We are both busy professionals with little discretionary free time and found working with Paul wonderful. He involved us in the process as much as we wanted. Yet, we could also leave the job to him and know that the design and sourcing of our cabinets, fixtures, and appliances was done with the utmost care and consideration to deadlines and budget. He has an engineering background and his attention to detail allows him to deliver a room that is a balance of art and style and functional excellence. Jennifer Gilmer completely redesigned our kitchen making it a beautiful and functional upgrade to our home which was built back in the early 1990s. Working with Jennifer and Meghan was an easy experience they are so expert and talented in their field. When I was having trouble finding a suitable vanity for the Master Bath - Meghan just designed the perfect piece for us. We are very pleased with the results of our project and highly recommend them for future projects.

We hired Paul Bentham to design our kitchen for a substantial remodeling project for our townhouse. Paul did an excellent job at all phases of the project, from educating us on our options to incorporating our feedback on his design to supervising the work by our contractor. The end result was an award winning kitchen that was even better than we had imagined. We would not hesitate to recommend Paul to anyone, and we will definitely use him again when we decide to remodel our master bathroom (after we have recovered from our kitchen remodel).

After living in our home for 22 years, our 1985 kitchen cabinets were beginning to fall off their hinges. Time for a change, don't you think? So we walked into Jennifer Gilmer's bath and kitchens, and just clicked from the beginning with Paul Bentham. He was personable, quick, and full of ideas. This was a complete gut job, and being two busy professionals, we needed someone truly knowledgeable and engaged who would help ease the process. Who would ever think that a complete kitchen renovation would be a painless - might I say pleasurable- couple of months? But it was, because of Paul and his terrific team. Paul had strong ideas, and I must tell you, if you work with him, trust him with his vision, because he has a great one. I was reluctant to get rid of my Mexican terracotta tile floors, but I am thrilled with my hardwood floors Paul recommended, that now tie my family room to my kitchen beautifully - expanding the entire space! He also pushed for a center island in a chocolate brown Caesar stone. Again, this was completely outside my comfort zone. And today, it is the second most favorite thing about my new kitchen. And my third favorite thing? Yet again, another Paul Bentham Boy Wonder idea . . . a dark brown chocolate wall in the breakfast nook he designed, replete with gorgeous cream custom built-in benches. He narrowed our backspash choices to two, and the one we chose ..... reminds me of Jerusalem stone. . . . and it makes me wildly happy every morning as I wake up and make my coffee! Paul rocks, he is fun to work with, and has great ideas and vision. I wholeheartedly recommend Paul and team. And would use him again. (Already have signed him up!)

Paul worked with me to fully understand my vision and created a space that was true piece of art. The space was small and there were limitations because of the building. Paul took on this challenge and created a spectacular area of natural beauty. Additionally, he took a small closet nook and created a usable space that gives the bathroom additional square footage and storage. Paul is a visionary which allowed him to configure space that other designers did not see. His detail oriented personality, creativity and professionalism allowed for a smooth project, that stayed on schedule and was beyond gorgeous. We worked with Meghan Browne at Jennifer Gilmer Kitchens and had a truly delightful experience! Meghan was very attentive to our needs, listened to our concerns, and was very responsive to emails and phone calls, frequently responding within hours. She has great ideas and followed through with every aspect of the project from conception to the final details. She worked well with our builder, Thorsen Builders, to cover any glitches or unanticipated issues that occur when remodeling. Paul Bentham transformed our original to the 1950s and awkwardly laid out kitchen into a thing of beauty. Paul has great taste and is very pleasant and professional to work with. Our kitchen was a complete gut job and required a new layout. Paul came up with a design that not only looks fantastic but also functions very well. He is also really good at coming up with one or two ideas on options for materials. I’m someone who thoroughly (and perhaps over) researches everything, and Paul made my life so much easier by offering very thoughtfully vetted choices. There are hundreds of options in finishes and materials for each aspect of a kitchen’s design. Having a great designer who helps you narrow the options and who considers the big picture makes the process much less daunting. For me, one key difference between Paul and other kitchen designers that I’ve met with is that others seemed focused on selling kitchen cabinets whereas Paul focused on creating a great design. I recommend him to all of my friends and neighbors who are in the market for a kitchen remodel. We hired M.R. Thornton & Sons to do the majority of the kitchen remodeling work. Mike and his team did great work in a timely manner. We lived in the home during the remodel and so we particularly appreciated how professional and easy they were to work with. We bought Wolf, Miele and Sub-Zero appliances. It was obvious that Adam and the rest of the guys were very familiar with these brands and installing them. I would recommend M.R. Thornton & Sons without any reservation for remodeling work.

Finally the time to remodel the largest bathroom in the house came: THE MASTER BATHROOM!My family and I decided to go to Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath in Bethesda, MD and met with their designer, Paul Bentham.Paul Bentham is a top senior designer, his long years of expertise and hands-on the job made him a very refined designer, very creative with exquisite taste. From the minute you meet him, he shows a great deal of knowledge and professionalism, not only is he very pleasant and energetic but he likes to work closely with his clients in order to accommodate their needs and expectations.I must tell you that we had a very good experience and we are very happy with the outcome of the job and you must trust him when he makes a design and select colors.Yet one important thing to mention, even if Paul has a spectacular overall vision when he makes a design, selects items, mixes colors, it's very important to know that he is not rigid with his designs but he is very open minded and integrated our taste with his.It was such a pleasure working with him I highly recommend him if you plan to remodel your kitchen or bathroom."

We are so glad we found Carolyn Thomas at Jennifer Gilmer when we were ready to remodel our bathrooms. She has years of experience and really understands the aesthetics and the mechanics of bathroom design. She was easy to work with (for us and the contractors) and understood what we wanted and what style appealed to us. We didn't think there was much that could be done to redesign the master bath because we did not want to enlarge it or relocate the tub, shower and sinks. However, Carolyn removed a closet and a tub platform, opened up the shower, and added new cabinets so that the master bath is much more functional. She helped us find wonderful tile, cabinets, counters, and fixtures. She produced beautiful designs for cabinets, mirrors, and tile work. (The patterns in her tile lay-outs are amazing.) The transformation in both rooms is visually stunning. Four years later we are still thrilled with her work.

Our kitchen cabinets, purchased through Kitchen Designers Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath, were installed in 2002. (Premier brand). They are beautiful and we have so enjoyed our kitchen, designed by JG Kitchens, but noticed recently that some of the cabinet doors had faded. Photos were taken by the Gilmer rep and sent to Premier. It was noted that some of the finish used on the cabinet doors was defective. A workman dismantled the doors in question, Premier took them to be refinished at their factory. Three weeks later they were returned and re-installed. Beautiful job!!!! Efficient and prompt...with fine workmanship. All in all, a pleasant and professional experience. Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath stands by their work. I would recommend this company in a minute to anyone looking for highest quality workmanship for a new or remodeled kitchen.

We are truly fortunate to have had Carolyn Thomas from Jennifer Gilmer to guide us through re-building a master bath . Her eye to detail and discriminating artistic style has transformed the 1980's bathroom into a bathing sanctuary. Carolyn Thomas at Gilmer did a great job redesigning our small master bath to provide significantly more storage, a much better layout, and a realization of the oasis I was seeking. The bath is now much more consonant with our bungalow home and it's a pleasant place to hang out. Gilmer handled all aspects of the project which made it a time saver for us and simplified our decision making. The project was characterized by very high quality workmanship by the contractors they recommended, too.

We've grown tired of the builder-quality kitchen which was starting to show signs of wear and tear in terms of appliances and cabinets breaking down, in addition to the fact that we did not have enough storage space for our cooking utensils, etc. We decided that it was time to find someone to remodel our kitchen. Our first and last stop was at the Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath show room in Bethesda, Maryland. After we met with designer Paul Bentham and explained to him what we needed in our kitchen, we decided that he should be the one to design our kitchen. We are yet to meet a designer as knowledgeable as Paul in all aspects of building, material, and remodeling, not to mention his good taste in coordinating shapes and colors and his passion for symmetry and perfection. In order to provide us with the best quality and the best remodeling results, and before we signed any contracts with JGKB, Paul came to our house several times so that he could take final measurements and to review our orders for the cabinetry, the appliances, the lighting and practically everything that had to do with our new kitchen. Paul introduced us to the general contractor Michael Thornton who did a superb job to our kitchen along with his team of experienced and courteous professionals. The remodeling project progressed very smoothly and without any delays. All I had to do was sit back and relax while Paul was making sure that everything went along according to plan. In the near future, when it's time to remodel our bathrooms I won't let anyone do the job but JGKB, Paul Bentham, and Michael Thornton.

JGKB was able to include all of our needs in a new space that is so much more functional and beautiful than we could have imagined. The talented and knowledgeable JGKB team made the design process go smoothly, and we couldn't be happier with the new hub of our house. We get nonstop compliments on our kitchen from everyone!

We had just completed a complete and phenomenal kitchen renovation with JKGB and Paul Bentham as the master designer, and Marnic Construction implementing the design. Jennifer Gilmmer Kitchen and Bath redid our kitchen this spring. We initially hired another architect but my husband wasn't happy with the final drawing. Jennifer came to the house and with an hour we had a new design we loved. The company was terrific to work with and the final product is jaw dropping. Meghan and Jennifer helped and directed us through all steps as we needed a lot of hand holding. A friend referred the company to us and we have since referred others. Our kitchen remodel changed the entire look of our house and now how we entertain and live in the space. It is spacious, light and modern. As you can see we readily recommend this company.

Jennifer and her team renovated a 26 year old kitchen in a 100 year old Victorian house. She listened well to my design ideas & preferences, "got it" immediately, and designed the perfect kitchen, within budget. Very practical and knowledgeable on where to splurge and where it wasn't necessary...how and where significant money can be saved to achieve the highest effect, e.g. use 2 flat, off the shelf doors to come together at an angle, and have the granite top above them be rounded, rather than custom make curved doors. It all reads "curve" without the expense.. She and her team are patient, creative and a total joy to work with.

JGK&B designed a total kitchen remodel and a powder room addition. The footprint of the house did not change. We needed expert guidance on smart use of space and received that in Jennifer's design. Jennifer's creativity combined with her delightful enthusiasm made the process enjoyable. A favorite is her idea of adding new windows and an all light back door that result in bringing the outdoor garden "inside".

I was extremely well satisfied with Carolyn Thomas, the bathroom designer who redesigned and supervised the installation of my new bathrooms. In the master bath, she completely redesigned the space, increasing the size of both the bathroom and the master closet. She was extremely thorough, detail oriented and a pleasure to work with. Our experience with the Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath was excellent. We did a complete kitchen redesign. Now it is thirteen years later, and the kitchen still looks new, and elegant. It gets lots of use, and the plan was so well thought out that after all these years we are still completely thrilled with the whole design. Recently, our freezer drawers had some mechanical malfunctions and I called the main office of Jennifer Gilmer to get some advice. Not only did they help connect me with a reputable business to repair our Sub Zero freezer drawers, but also reached out to the main distributor of Sub Zero products who called me directly. These are just a few reasons why I feel it is so important to use a company like Jennifer Gilmer's. You are always in their system, and they take great pride in their work and reputation.

My experience remodeling my Master Bath could not have better. Although I knew the process would be stressful, my designer, Carolyn Thomas, broke the decisions into manageable steps so that I had time to reflect on my decisions before the renovation began. Carolyn took the time to listen to my needs and incorporate these needs (better lighting, higher countertops, more storage space, large shower stall, etc.) into her drawings. In addition, she suggested several changes (cove ceiling, heated shower floor and bench, etc.) that I had never considered but I accepted because of her years of experience and great handle on the overall design. Once construction began, she visited the site regularly and suggested further modifications to improve the overall look. Carolyn was always available to answer questions. The end result was far better than I could have ever imagined. I now have a modern, well appointed Master Bath that I enjoy daily and know will be a huge selling point when I come to sell my home.

When I decided to remodel our two bathrooms, I asked two contractors to present cost. The first contractor's bid was $6K for each bathroom. It sounded too low. The second contractor's bid was $16K for each. Since I still had some doubts, I decided to take a look at Jennifer Gilmer. That is when I first met Ms. Carolyn Thomas. Following her presentation on how they handle contracts my wife and I decided to ask her to prepare a plan for each bathroom. Our house was built in 1959 and I guess bathrooms were not considered important parts of houses at that time and that may be the reason why they were built small. The day Ms. Thomas came by to take measurements I watched her carefully. When she walked into the master bathroom, she made an interesting sound. It made feel as if a surgeon was looking at a very very sick patient. Those bathrooms were in bad shapes. Throughout the duration for each job she was very hands on and her attention to details amazed me. Being an engineer, I understood and really appreciated her vision on the designs. She increased our master bathroom's size and just by adding about 20" to the floor size which was all she had to work with, it made all the difference. Also her choice of the subcontractor was great. Cracovia is a great company, very professional and clean. They are very punctual and at the end of daily work they clean all areas. I decided to continue to use Cracovia for other remodeling projects we have. I am extremely happy with the choice I made to hire Jennifer Gilmer and I highly recommend Ms. Thomas.

I hired Paul Bentham to remodel my kitchen and it was a real do-over (it had a bathroom INSIDE the kitchen, in a row home). He was fantastic. I loved his design instantly, and I never would have picked it myself. Although this is not his gig, I also talked him into designing my two bathrooms, and again, they came out beautifully. He has a great manner as well. He won't force anything on you, but at the same time, he's not going to agree to whatever you say either. So he is really good for people that don't have a lot of confidence. He is also amiable, and funny. Nice guy. He took "ownership" of more than what was his responsibility, as well, engaging with my contractors and offering advice on paint color and that sort of thing. I basically did whatever he told me to do by the end. Mostly, though, he has a fantastic eye. Fantastic.

We hired Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath (JGKB) to remodel our kitchen after meeting designer Paul Bentham. While we kept some of the original appliances, Paul redesigned the kitchen and butler's pantry and guided our selections of cabinetry, fixtures and finishes. He quickly and efficiently designed our new kitchen, taking into account all the special circumstances related to working in a condominium building. Paul was great to work with -- attentive, responsive, detail- and service-oriented, creative, and knowledgeable. His attention to detail made our project go off without a hitch, and he was available to resolve any issue, however minor. We are loving our new kitchen. Hard to believe it's been almost a year. We loving hanging out in the room. So comfortable, gorgeous and functional all at the same time. Took about six months to get adjusted to the new space, especially which cabinets we put stuff in, but now it's second nature except for my teenage boys and cleaning woman who all like to randomly put things away. Our designer Lauren was great to work with and when we had several glitches (e.g, range was a lemon) over the first few months, she interceded with the appliance store to work things out (eventually Thermador replaced the range). Having now lived with our kitchen for almost a year, we really appreciate Lauren's expertise and quality of her work. If we had to choose a designer again, we would definitely choose her again. There are so many things to love -- the range, the huge table, the huge sink, the quality of cabinets, the floor, and the quality of the installation workmanship. It's our favorite room in the house. I absolutely love my new bathroom. Carolyn helped me to effectively design a small space that needed to be dual purposed as a three-piece second bathroom and guest powder-room. Carolyn worked tirelessly to find ceramic tiles with the “bling” factor I was looking for. The custom fitted marble counter is a show-stopper and the custom cabinets amply provide the storage space missing from the original floor plan. I feel like a princess every time I use the new glass-enclosed shower and tub. The bath I dreamed of has been far exceeded. Many thanks to Carolyn and JGKB.

Lauren Bland of the JGK&B team is an enormously creative designer, who brings splendid ideas to the table, but never loses sight of the fact that it is the client's taste, not hers, that must in the end be honored. With a few key, killer elements, she took our project in directions we didn't know even existed. As it unfolded, we were so happy with the progress that we expanded the scope from a single kitchen renovation, to also including two adjoining rooms. She created common elements and a color palette to tie the rooms together, while still giving each its own identity. Beyond being a superb designer, she is also a problem solver, and a capable manager. She helped us find the contractor that was right for us, and then made sure the work got done the way it was supposed to. We will happily use her again, and I heartily recommend her.

We hired JGKB to give a "face lift" to our kitchen. We wanted to save some of our existing cabinets and appliances, but significantly update other elements and give the kitchen a new, more modern feel. We could not have been happier with the result. Our designer, Lauren Bland, listened carefully to what we wanted, and suggested designs based on our wish list, our budget, and the overall design of our home. She came up with things we would not have thought of, that we liked, and that were within our budget. She also followed up constantly throughout the project, working with the contractor to make sure the project was done correctly We've hired JGKB for a follow up project.

When we start a project together the creative juices start flowing and we play off each other to produce the best results for the client. From start to finish my kitchen/bath/butler's pantry and sunroom renovation was designed and executed by Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen and Bath. I have only two words to describe this experience/results, beyond perfect.

I used this company to remodel my kitchen several years ago and most recently two upstairs bathrooms. Before the kitchen project, I had done a lot of research and knew pretty much what I wanted. Jennifer was able to provide a design that gave me even more than what I wanted. She found a place to squeeze in a little desk in my small kitchen that we could not live without now. I was very pleased with the hand holding she did spending a half a day at the tile store and the fixtures place and finding me the best appliances and guiding me through the process. She and her staff are always very responsive with any questions about anything. She also recommended an excellent contractor we used again for the second project. I have been over the top happy with the kitchen. For the bathroom project, I was less prepared, and had a less extravagant budget. Everything in the old bathrooms was broken and they just had to be done. Jennifer told me she had some overstock tile she would sell me for a good price, which was great, so we built the bathroom color scheme around the grey tile. Her design skills were still very creative, but as she admits and I soon learned, there are a number of practical and technical details when it comes to bathrooms that make them trickier. I don't think Jennifer is as well versed in those and I wish we had consulted more closely with the contractor. For instance, the shower heads had to be placed differently than in the original design because the water would have hit the door leaked onto the floor. Now the water shoots the width of the shower which makes it less roomy feeling. There were some plumbing fixtures that had to be changed because of the water flow capacity as well. We chose them based on budget not realizing until the contractor saw them that they would not work well. Jennifer also uses a tile store that has an incredible selection. However, they made several mistakes re: what tile was really in stock and letting an order sit on someone's desk for 3 weeks which ultimately delayed the project while we waited for the tile. I am happy with the bathrooms. Overall I would highly recommend the company. I would highly recommend Jennifer for kitchen design. There might be another designer at the company who is better at dealihng with the details of bathrooms.

We had an amazing experience with Jennifer Gilmer. She was recommended to us by a friend whose mother-in-law used Jennifer for multiple ¬projects, and after we finished our project we learned our neighbor had also used her a few years ago. Everyone had a great experience. Now that I’ve worked with Jennifer and her firm, and talk to others, I realize how well established and respected she is in DC. This is well deserved. We spent a long time visiting various design shops and interviewing different designers. We were very discouraged by the process until we met Jennifer. Our first design session was fantastic – she approached the meeting with a great deal of creative energy and listened to what we were trying to create (both in function and aesthetics). I love to cook – so function was important, but I’m also really picky about things looking good and didn’t want function to impact the “look.” Jennifer made it work – and I love end product.
