KDL Construction remodeled my master bathroom removing the garden tub and replacing it with a very large spa-like walk-in shower. The former shower space was renovated into a linen closet with floor to ceiling storage. The new vanity is perfect with its quartz countertop, rectangle under mount sinks and brushed nickel hardware. The tilted mirrors and lighting are beautiful. My bathroom is exactly what I wanted. Katie and her team are very organized. One of the reasons I hired her was her reputation for doing a good job and being a good designer. I wanted someone I could ask for advice on decorating decisions. She was patient and helpful. Also the workers were polite and friendly. They cleaned up when finished, they respected my house.

Our home was built in 1996 with La Habra Stucco - X-53 Pure Ivory color. In 2010 we had the Elastomeric paint put on to cover the cracks in the stucco. The coating was more expensive than the Acrylic paint and it has held up well. After 8 years, more cracks appeared and we tried to repair them and re-paint the areas but since the paint had faded and the paint color was hard to match up we could see the difference on the exterior walls. Since we also needed to replace our 30# felt under our concrete tile, we had Roofing Technologies in Yuma, AZ replace the product with Malarkey Right Start SBS underlayment, install bird stops, drip edges, and Eagle brand battens. Our home never had the above options installed, and we decided to do the job the right way. I asked the owner Ray Wolff who he would recommend to paint our home, he said to contact KLD Construction LLC, Katie Dunn the owner, and an interior decorator. I called Katie, and Santos the supervisor came out and gave us an estimate to replace the 2 x 6 fascia boards in the front of the house because of damage from the roofs 30# felt failing. The estimate also included to replace the trim boards around the three car garage, and new garage doors sealing strips. As the roof was progressing, the installers left off the final capping tiles around the eaves so that the painters could paint the entire 2 x 6 fascia boards and eaves. We are so impressed with Katie and her crew to do the job the professional way, they power washed the house on a Friday so that the stucco could dry out and then on Monday started to seal all the areas with silicone, and then used cement to re-stucco areas around the home. They are using Sherwin Williams Acrylic paint which Santos says is a much better product to use in our area with the hot summers. I was going to keep the same paint color but decided to upload my photo to the Sherwin Williams website to check out other exterior colors. I printed up my photo of what I thought would look good and emailed it to Katie. She promptly replied “Wow, what a great choice of colors for the stucco and the trim.” I was very impressed because of her knowledge in interior decorating that the colors that I chose were going to be good. Our house and trim was all one color, nothing popped out to make our house attractive. But now using a base color for the stucco and another color for the eaves, garage doors, and trim will be excellent. If I could give 10 stars I would, I have already recommended KLD Construction LLC to many friends. I have one friend who needs her kitchen cabinets to be refinished, and I also need my cabinets to be refinished. I will call Katie after my projects are finished to get her recommendations on what I should do. Since KLD Construction LLC can do many different projects on your home I would highly recommend Katie Dunn to do the work.

I needed an handicap bar in my shower. Katie's crew picked up the bar for me and had it installed within 3 hours of my phone request! It is positioned perfectly! No tiles were cracked during installation! And no unnecessary holes were drilled! The KLD team handled two large scale bathroom remodels for us, including the expansion of our master bath. They were incredibly attentive and professional and remained so throughout the entire project (which involved several layout and material changes by us)! Katie and her crew just finished the remodel of my master bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was a total gut job. They did an amazing job and I could not be happier. They showed up when they said they would and finished the project in the time frame I anticipated Everyone on her team is very highly skilled and professional. Emma and I engaged KLD construction at the suggestion of an electrician. Some of the best advice I have ever received. Miss. Dunn came to our home to get an idea of what we wanted. She completed a bid and sent it to us for review. The bid included payment terms. We accepted the bid and terms. During the construction there were many changes some required to get what we wanted others were changes from what we originally designed. Some she could do without a charge, others not so much. I want to make clear, Miss. Dunn was always up front about costs for changes we requested and changes that were required because of unseen problems. Changes and upgrades to this project about doubled the initial bid. That being said we added some things and had some plumbing issues that had to be made to get what we wanted. Her subcontractors did a fine job. When there was a problem she fixed it. When she made a mistake, true to her word, she covered the cost. Working with Miss. Dunn was a pleasure. There was generally some give and take on both sides. Miss, Dunn kept us from making some really poor decisions. She never told us NO; however, she did make clear we might regret the outcome. Finally, when I phoned Miss. Dunn she answered her phone and took time to speak with me about my question or concerns. When I did not get her on the phone and left a message she called me back. Will we use KLD again, yes, I have a couple of items on the horizon that I intend to use KLD for.

KLD Construction, Katie Dunn is one of the most professional companies in Yuma. Katie and her crew totally embraced our remodel with full commitment. They accomplished everything they said they were going to do, plus more. Any question or issue was handled immediately, even after 6 months of completing the project. Everyone was professional and very neat and tidy, which is so important. I would definitely recommend them for any remodel project you may have.

We hired KLD Construction to build a pergola across the front of our house, and to paint the exterior of the house, large shop building, and small shed. We are more than thrilled with the results! We constantly get compliments from people who pass by, and get many repeat compliments from our immediate neighbors. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Katie, Santos (superintendent), and the entire team. Everyone was very professional, friendly, and displayed a great work ethic. Marco (framer) and Ray created a beautiful pergola. Ramon made the buildings look better with just a great power washing. Julio was always busy: caulking, assisting the other guys, and keeping the property free of debris. And Max (painter) paid amazing attention to the details: discovering and fixing damaged siding and posts, caulking every seam, taking great care that none of our neighbors would be impacted by the painting, and cleaning up all of his tools and debris at the end of every day. We highly recommend KLD Construction, and we will definitely go to them again for any size project we may have in the future.

KLD Construction did a phenomenal job on repairing my stucco gates damaged by water. Their services were excellent, timely and responsive. I will be using them again for another major project.

Katie and her crew were fabulous! They were very professional and they knew what I wanted. I left for 3 months and when I got back my house was unbelievable! It's beautiful and I can't thank Katie enough!

Highest recommendation possible for Katie and her team. My house has been completely transformed from an outdated worn and torn home to a beautiful and stylish like "brand new" house. Tears rolled down my face when I saw the finished product. Katie was the easiest person to work with. You will feel like you are working with your best friend. Constant communication and unfailing efforts on her part to insure that you get exactly what you want. Her team of contractors are professional, polite and left the house daily clean and picked up. They worked through extreme heat without a break. The workmanship shines through. If you have the need for any type of renovation or design assistance you would be crazy not to hire Katie. I am in love with my "new" house. Never want to leave.

Katie at KAT Designs was Amazing! She was patient and gave great advice all while getting to know me and my personal taste and design. We are building a new home and along with that comes So many choices and it can get extremely overwhelming. Katie is fantastic. When I bought a second home in Arizona I needed someone to handle EVERYTHING because I couldn't be there to do it myself. After just a few conversations about my style preferences, she took charge and ordered the furniture, met the movers on site, and even put pieces together for those 'assembly required' items. The next time I walked in the door of my second home, I was amazed at what perfect choices she had made and even more amazed that the entire process was painless and effortless. She's the best!

I never realized how hard it is to pick paint colors and have them turn out the way you see in magazines! Thankfully Katie came in, took control of the situation, picked colors just like I was wanting and the job was completed perfectly!
