We are just completing our second remodel in five years. The first one a disaster from start to finish - way late on timing - over budget - sloppy workmanship - never finished the punch list. Knight construction in contrast was fantastic. We felt they genuinely cared and wanted us to be happy with their work. We had them do the remodel when we were away for the winter. We were so impressed when we came back! The work was beautiful - the house was spotless - almost nothing for a punch list. IF YOU ARE GOING TO REMODEL USE KNIGHT CONSTRUCTION - you will not be disappointed!

We were very pleased with our experience with Knight Construction. From beginning to end, there was excellent communication, customer service, and quality of work. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others or use them again ourselves.

Knight Construction was a delight to work with! Their professionalism and willingness to really listen to our wants and needs was outstanding. Due to the pandemic, we were home during the remodel of our kitchen, so we were also sort of "underfoot" but each person working on our project was really understanding and engaging. We had a few hiccups due to our home needing to be updated regarding building codes, and Knight was both knowledgeable and flexible. The finished product was outstanding, and I would highly recommend Knight for any construction/remodel project!

Everyone at Knight Construction was professional and pleasurable to work with. The team helped in understanding the best options for the money (and frequently steered us to cheaper alternatives or made us aware of decisions that would impact resale even if we liked them). As well the design and choices were absolutely phenomenal. The project included 3 bathrooms (including moving walls, plumbing, electrical, new tile, counters, cabinets, painting, etc.), a walk in closet, and painting in multiple locations throughout the house. As promised they cleaned up every day, put protective film down to ensure they didn't dirty the carpet, etc. They coordinate schedules very well, accommodated when we had to pause for house guests, and lined up all the inspectors so we didn't have to do anything. The whole job was very well done and absolutely stunning. We get compliments by everyone who sees this stellar job. All of that said, I'd be remiss to not point out the only negative: project management. We did not have a clear picture of the end-to-end cycle of the project. We had clarity of what was going to happen in the next 2 weeks but did not see the entire length of the project. This is something I would be more aware of in the future, but I can say with absolute certainty that we will use them again!

They were all very helpful during all phases of the project. The team was conscientious in keeping the house clean as possible and tidied every evening before they left. Delays were minimal and they accommodated changes as needed. The final results were great!!

The professionalism and quality of work completed was outstanding. All projects have surprises and ours was no different but they were handled quickly and transparently. They even helped resolve some issues totally unrelated to their scope of work. Great people to work with and we would call them again.

I cannot say enough how lucky we feel to have a partner in Knight Construction. We are DIY people but there are projects that are just too big for us and Gary leads us effortlessly through prioritizing projects, planning, designing and executing (with transparency!). Kristen Peck provides impeccable design consulting - she gets us better than we get us. Her ideas are amazingly unique and creative.

It is a fantastic and talented group of people that comprise Knight Construction and Design. Their attention to detail surpassed my own and I was always pleasantly surprised with each new stage of the process. Knight Construction did a complete remodel of our upstairs demolishing a ceiling to open up a great room and adding 3 new baths, closets and bedrooms. In addition they renovated a sad looking screened in porch and turned it into a fantastic 3 season room attached to a redesigned deck and spiral stair. I feel like I'm on vacation every day! The design and construction team of Knight Construction created the exact coastal oasis in our kitchen we were looking for. If we're going to live near a lake in Minnesota and get snow in April, I want to feel like I'm somewhere warm even if I'm in my own home. Gary, the owner, put us at ease immediately and I knew we'd be in good hands. Kristen, the designer, was awesome to work with. She helped take my vision and turn it into reality and was so fun to "play" with. Jeff, project manager, was so consciencious and respectful. He kept in touch, was prompt to return calls and kept the schedule moving. The subs/workers were terrific. They were courteous, cleaned up, and did wonderful work. The project was 95% done when promised and we were able to host holiday gatherings in our home to lots of oohs and ahhs.

We have done numerous projects with this team and they are true professionals who are truly in-tune with their craft and produce stunning projects.

The team at Knight Construction hit it OUT OF THE PARK for our first floor remodel, including major renovations to the kitchen. Not only were they professional and innovative, they brought humor and thoughtfulness to the project. We appreciated their responsiveness to questions and they kept us informed as minor surprises arose as walls were demolished in our 96 year old home. This was the third renovation Knight Construction has done for us, and would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Knight Construction team!

Knight Construction did an excellent job with our master bathroom remodel. It turned out even better than we expected! Kristen Peck was easy to work with and had outstanding design ideas and a good eye for materials. Jeff Harrison was a terrific contractor who was very respectful of our time and of our property. His team even had to deal with our small dog who likes to "help out" -- and they all took it in stride with no complaints.

Knight was able to transform our 80's style master bath / closet into a gorgeous modern yet traditional space. The design checked each box of our wish list items. Never could have imagined the transformation. Very easy to work with, clean and respectful of our home. Overall a great experience.

I am a long time "old" customer of Gary Knight, Knight Construction Design, Inc., so of course when I needed new windows for my 30 year old house in Maple Grove I chose Knight Construction Design Inc. Again, they were fabulous to work with. His team was here when they said they would be on site, and got the job done. They cleaned up each day and the project was completed when they said it would be. I had 13 openings including a patio door replaced. This was a replacement rather than an insert which then needed to be finished and stained. The stain matched perfectly to the rest of the woodwork in my home. I also want to mention that the windows were measured and made so that my current window blinds fit, therefore no need for new blinds and window treatments. To me that was another huge benefit. I would recommend Gary Knight and Knight Construction Design, Inc. to anyone that needed any type of remodeling or construction. They are good people. Gary will always make sure you are taken care of and happy with your project.

We were thrilled with the Knight team from start to finish on our lower level (basement) remodel. I was a bit nervous choosing a firm without knowing someone who had worked with them, but after seeing their projects and meeting the team, we were immediately put at ease. Kristen's design work was amazing and she was incredibly accommodating when we asked for different views of the project. Having Kristen help us shop for fixtures, flooring, cabinetry, etc. was great - We never would have ended up with the final room looking to put together if it weren't for her design and style. Once the design was complete, Gary provided a very detailed and thorough contract review so there were never any questions or hidden costs. Melissa was always available in the office for questions or color consultations and had great communication. Once construction started Jeff kept us informed of progress and ensured the work was completed to our standards. We are really happy with our new lower level and will absolutely work with the Knight team again on future projects.

Knight Construction is a World Class Company. They all did a outstanding job with our kitchen remodel. I have had the opportunity to tour and write about several Knight Construction Design projects over the past year. I've been impressed by the quality of the designs, craftsmanship and materials. Designer Kristen Peck has a great eye, Gary Knight sets high standards for everyone and Jeff Harrison really knows how to run jobs. It shows. No wonder Knight Construction Design was named 2015 NARI National Contractor of the Year in the entire house $250,000-500,000 category.

Knight did everything from taking my ideas and putting them into a design to completing the project and making sure that the old appliance, empty boxes, etc. and anything I didn't want anymore got hauled away. I had a room addition put on the house and updates and enhancements (new carpeting, new counter tops in kitchen and bathrooms, new appliances, new lighting, painting, new flooring, fireplace redesign, some new fixtures, added sink and cabinet in laundry room, added hallway closet, ceilings were scraped and refinished). Knight sheduled, coordinated and followed up on everything, and provided an interior designer for all the selections I had to make. I contacted Knight and Gary Knight, the owner, came over for a walkthrough where I explained what I was thinking for remodeling and adding a room. He answered my questions and provided his opinion about how things could be done. I also knew what I didn't like, but was in desperate need of assistance in selecting paint, carpeting, lighting, etc. I liked the fact that this is a smaller company and my service was very personalized. Gary scheduled an initial meeting where his subcontractors and interior designer all came within a 2 hour window and did measurements and talked to me about what I was looking for. Gary provided support through the entire process. He came back with a proposal and provided some options and alternatives and I signed. I was very please that Knight was very flexible with my wanting changes and was willing to make changes and adjust the estimates accordingly. There were no change request charges other than the actual charges of different materials. All renovations and projects have problems, but I was very pleased with the fact that there were always solutions proposed for any issues I saw - even what others might call "picky." The experienced Project Mgr., Jeff, I worked with always had a solution. To me it was most important to have what I wanted, and if/when necessary, I was even willing to pay a little more or have the project take a little more time. The design support I received was also exceptional. One of the primary reasons I selected Knight was that they took care of everything from beginning to end. For me, this was very important. I found the designer helpful, talented and down-to-earth. I was very concerned with all of the decision making involved in taking on such a large effort . Kristen saw me through all of the selections and along with the Knight vendors, make the process seem effortless. I am so very happy with all of my selections (and my neighbors are very impressed.) Prior to hiring Knight, I had read a review that they were priced a little higher than others, but the higher quality was worth it. I do know that Knight has high quality contractor vendors and also expects high quality from them. Overall, Knight Construction Design is a reputable, high quality, honest vendor. The end product was better than I ever expected and I am very pleased.

We had a recent overhaul of our lower level due to a septic problem. Knight Construction responded to our frantic call for help immediately. Not only did they take care of the demolition and rebuilding of the damaged floors and walls, but they also redesigned the oversized bathroom into a combination bathroom/laundry room. Budget constraints were always a concern, and Gary was sensitive to that - he worked diligently to find alternatives to our "dreams" and made them an affordable reality. The Knight Construction staff and subcontractors (carpenters, painters, electrician, plumber, heating and plumbing, etc.) were friendly, efficient, and did excellent work - and they always cleaned up the area at the end of each day! What could have been a very stressful time of construction before the holidays became a time of excitement as we shared our new warm and inviting lower level with family and friends.

Job was to remodel 1950's-era original bathroom - a small project in terms of sq. ft., but Knight Constr. made it seem as important as a McMansion spa/salon. At first contact Knight Const. was professional and polished. Their staff designer listened to our ideas and offered suggestions when asked. We quickly learned to rely on their expertise and glad that we did. Deadlines were met to the day and budgets to the penny. Project management was well coordinated and kept us abreast of work schedule as it progressed. Throughout, sub-contractors were able, polite and considerate. As the project came to a close and several days after the mirror was placed exactly where we specified, we changed our mind about its location. Without comment and with a smile, the project manager (Jeff) returned the next day and re-installed it 4 in. lower. A small thing perhaps, but it was in our minds emblematic of their commitment to customer service. No question this is a first-rate operation.

The professionals at Knight Construction Design transformed our house and elevated our neighborhood in only a few short weeks. I was looking for a total transformation, with the highest quality materials, for a fair price - I found them all with Knight. Gary, Kristen, and the entire crew helped us to consider all aspects of our project; from materials, colors, style, timing, logistics, and follow-up, everything came together perfectly. The team was attentive and complete - I felt like I was their only client; no detail was missed or ignored. Gorgeous and fantastic are two words that I would use to describe our experience with Knight Construction. Gorgeous is the finished family room and kitchen. Fantastic was the experience we had with Knight. Gary, Jeff and Kristen were a delight to work with. They kept you updated as the project progressed. If a problem arose, it has taken care of quickly. I cannot wait to get home each day to enjoy time in our new family room and kitchen. I would highly recommend Knight Construction for your next remodeling project.

Knight Construction and Design was a very positive experience. Both my wife and I had gone through a few not so positive experiences in the past and Knight was perfect for us - not too big and not too small. From the moment we started the process, Kristen was there to understand what we wanted to do with our overall project and made the process easy. Provided suggestions when we asked, kept us on track for making selections and would even drop of samples so we wouldn't have to go in to a showroom if our schedules got to hectic. Knight completed a total kitchen remodeling project, as well as updated flooring to hardwood, resurfaced a fireplace with natural stone and added knock down ceilings in our family room and kitchen. The project was to be completed in just six short weeks and Knight kept to its word. As with most projects, a few minor issues needed attention throughout the process. However, Knight worked with us to ensure these items were resolved quickly, with a high-level of quality and with minor deviations from our budget when necessary. Knights subs were extremely reliable and delivered on the high quality of product that was promised when the initial contract was signed. This is the third home we have remodeled/built in the twin cities during the last ten years and we would happy recommend Knight over any other contractor we have worked with. Not only was I impressed by Knight's professionalism, but also the care and attention they gave us before, during, and after the project was completed.

WE LOVE OUR KITCHEN!!!! Our story starts with the purchase of our 1979 home in 1993 and my husband and I both agreed the first thing we would do is remodel our outdated kitchen. Well, 20 years later we finally did it and it was worth the wait. This type of project is not inexpensive, but depending on who you hire it can end up looking cheap. Knight Construction Design Inc. is a class act! Working with Gary Knight, Kristen Peck and Jeff Harrison was a very professional and pleasant experience. In fact, all of the employees that came into our home from Knight Construction Design Inc. were respectful to us and our home. If we had choosen any of our other bids, I truly believe we would of ended up with subpar products and the process of dealing with the remodel would have been unnessarily frustrating. Gary, Jeff and Kristen tended to all of our concerns throughout the process. They had great advise that helped us make the right choices. Kristen had some excellent design changes in our kitchen that created much more efficient movement while working on cooking projects as well as good suggestions in the choices of pullouts in our cabinetry. As I write this review we have been using our kitchen for 9 months since project completion and we could not be happier. Our kitchen designed and installed by Knight Contruction Design Inc. has not only stood up to the heavy use it looks great! By choosing Knight Contruction Design Inc. you are choosing great workmanship, quality products and great design. The only advise I would have is when taking on a project like this make sure set up a temporary kitchen and be prepared for project delays.

Knight Construction & Design did an excellent job remodeling the lower level of our home. The project primarily consisted of removing and replacing windows (original windows from the 1950s). One door was widened to provide more access to the back yard. Interior walls were moved to create a more open family room location for entertaining. The wet bar in the basement was moved and updated. Overall, we were impressed with Knight's attention to detail and management of their subcontractors. They were responsive to our requests and questions. The finished product is beautiful.

Knight Construction did our kitchen/living room remodel. The quality of the work is outstanding and we couldn't be happier with the end result. The actual project took longer than we anticipated but again the finished product is exactly what we were hoping for.

Knight Construction did a great job on the exterior of our house. They painted the stucco, trim and under the roof. They also installed new aluminum garage doors with wood grain. They suggested that we add windows to the garage doors, which really made our garage feel much brighter and airier inside. The new digital garage door openers are very quiet and I also like the automatic lights that turn on when the sensor detects that you're in the garage. They turn off automatically so you don't waste electricity. Our house looks much nicer front the front now.

I hired Knight Remodeling to do a kitchen remodel and was completely satisfied with the final product! Even though my project was probably not as large as some of their projects, I felt the whole team took a vested interest, just as they would for one of their more extensive projects. Kristen was a Great help when it came to cabinet selection and configuration. She was flexible and easy to work with when it came to changing some of the configurations. Her view point was Instrumental in making some of the decisions, especially for a novice such as myself. Once the cabinets were delivered, Jeff, the Project Manager made the schedule happen like clockwork and kept me up to date regarding the work schedule.

We had a complete kitchen remodel and I think it is truly beautiful. Knight Construction made our vision come to life from the intial consultation and drawings to the very end. They coordinated the work schedule with the service providers and made recommendations on additional quality vendors for when we were responsible for specific selections. I could not have done this on my own with all that's going on regarding the family schedule. They were a pleasure to do business with and have already recommended them to my neighbors. A quality company to be sure.

We hired knight Construction to do our remodel. They did an complete remodel and addition to our home. We are so happy with our new home. We now have a new bathroom , gourmet kitchen, great room, butler pantry, four season porch, and 2 new bed rooms with walk in closets. Our home is an entry in the Parade of Homes Remodlers Showcase. It is so beautiful ! I can hardly believe it is mine. I feel like I am on vacation every day. Gary Knight and his staff Kristen,Jeff, and Kelly were wonderful. They listen to what we wanted and went the extra mile to make sure we got it .They even helped prep us on how to make the remodel go smoothly by helping to create a make shift kitchen in the basement so we could continue to cook as we stayed in our home during the entire remodel. We cannot say enough about this company! They provided quality workmanship and knowledge. They worked with our schedule keeping us informed every step of the way. We are looking forward to working with Knight Construction on phase two of our remodel right after showing off our new home in the Parade of Homes! We purchased a lake home property that needed to be remodeled extensively. We chose Knight Construction of Chanhassen to do the remodel. We were really happy with the result. We now are living in our dream home. Everything in our home is high quality. Our timeline was met, and the people we worked with were very professional and extremely friendly.

I would highly recommend Knight Construction. They used high quality materials and had excellent workmanship. The designer had great suggestions and met with us reguarly to pick out our fixtures, countertops, cabinets and colors. The project manager communicated often, was accountable and fair. They really understood maintaining the era of our home. Our new space is amazing, we love the extra storage and the built-ins. Job well done!

Knight was an excellent partner in our recent kitchen and mudroom remodeling project. The management was engaged throughout the project and our PM was tremendously responsive and detail oriented as well. While not inexpensive, the quality of work was exceptional and well worth the cost. The designer with Knight also had great input which resulted in a very unique floorplan modification during the planning stage. All in all, great people to work with. We would use them again without hesitation.
