We hired LCR to remodel our basement/bath in Winter of 2017–18. I was excited to work with them as they seemed attentive and listened to my needs upon our initial meetings. But after signing the contract they were silent for 6 weeks. I had to reach out to get the project started. In addition, all of the contractors they hired did shoddy work, clearly doing as little as possible just to meet the requirements. The team at LCR was terrible as well. I had to point out errors on a daily basis and reach out to know when people were scheduled to work at my house. They didn’t show up to meet the contractors and they supplied them with old plans. We ended up with walls that aren’t plumb, trim that isn’t square, floors that aren’t level and a musty smell in my newly finished basement that they won’t help me correct. They were not on time, not good at communicating and performed less than average work; I would not recommend them.

We used Lake Country Remodeling for a basement finishing project. It was great working with them and they did an outstanding job. We really appreciated their flexibility to meet our schedules, timeline and project scope. We found that they were trustworthy which was very important to us. They took the steps to make the finished basement outstanding without cutting corners. We highly recommend Lake Country. .

I was very happy with the company as a whole. Don was great with helping us make decisions and took everything we wanted, and made us our fantastic new kitchen.

Commented: Second floor landing- need ideas for functional use?If you have the budget, and aesthetics allow, how about opening that wall with a window (bay?) corner to corner, and floor to ceiling? (options for storage/seating bench as above, too...). Maybe a sex...
