They communicated with us every step of the way. In the past, a contractor might “show up” at the start of the job but would not reappear until the end or to collect their check. Mark showed up every day, either to oversee the start of the project or to stain the house himself. Everyone treated us and our home with respect. We spoke to numerous contractors about our desire to restore the exterior cedar siding. Other contractors were more interested in a “one and done” relationship, insisting on selling us expensive new siding (which would eventually require painting). During an internet search I discovered a man sharing DIY tips for homeowners on his business YouTube channel. My husband promised to consider residing if this contractor could explain why the replacement was necessary. Mark arrived, he listened to our needs and concerns, he took pictures then he shared valuable information. He pointed out that our cedar was thicker than the standard siding used. He showed us the difference by comparing our siding to the thickness of our neighbor’s siding. This had prevented the typical warping and twisting that homeowners usually encounter. We hired Lotz Home and Office to restore and stain the exterior cedar siding on our two-story home. We added the garage door frame preparation, rotted trim replacement and painting of the overhead garage doors. Our project was not an easy task to complete considering the amount of rain we have encountered in 2019. Because we have been burned by other contractors in the past I was extremely apprehensive. Mark and his team put my fears to rest and exceeded my expectations. This was money well spent. The transformation is incredible and we couldn’t be happier!

At our first house, when we tore out wood slats that separated the kitchen from the dining room to open up the space, the ceiling had a six-foot long indentation from the support board. From the dining room, you looked at the side of the refrigerator. We called Mark Lotz and he repaired the drywall ceiling so it looked like the rooms had always been open concept. He also built a wall beside the fridge and gave it a built in look. Drywall repair is messy…but not with Mark. Each coat was expertly applied and cleaned up daily. Later, we called Mark to install new kitchen cabinets and countertop, replace our deck, and replace the cedar siding on the south side of the house. The house had a fresh look that we enjoyed for years. When we built our dream house, Mark was the one we called to paint our four bedroom house from top to bottom. He also stained 50+ windows, oak stairs, railings, doors, and trim throughout the house. He suggested a natural stain that let the wood grain show. I recently hired Lotz Home & Office to do some drywall repair, remove some wallpaper border, and paint a couple of rooms. I needed the work done asap, as I was listing my home for sale. Mark Lotz came out, gave me an estimate, and started the work two days later. He did an excellent job! You could not see where the drywall was repaired, and there was not any damage from the removal of the wallpaper border. He was professional, timely, organized, and clean.
