Punctuality, honesty and integrity are hard to find in todays world; Morantz Cabinetry is the exception. Harold “Tzvi” Morantz and Morantz cabinetry came highly recommended via a colleague. I’ll start off by stating that I’m in the business of buying, remodeling and maintaining or Re selling properties for a living. I oversee the replacement of 30-50 kitchens per year, typically with “low end” Chinese product. Morantz cabinetry isn’t a cheap cabinet maker, but rightfully so. The owner personally came to my house and measured everything. He carefully calculated all custom cabinets and color choices. Communication was great as well whether via video, text, or email. The final product had a few minor concerns which he quickly addressed, always keeping our happiness and satisfaction as his utmost concern. The quality overall is very nice. The installer staff is professional , punctual and respectful. I would use Morantz cabinetry again and will certainly refer them to friends and colleagues. Price is fair, not cheap, but in cabinetry, you truly do get what you pay for. Overall 5 star rating. Thank you Tzvi.

This review quite possibly covers some of the earliest work done by Tzvi. After bumping into him at the Fort Lauderdale airport last week, I decided to have a look online to see what he has been up to. I had the pleasure of watching his Montreal business grow. We met in 1987 when I hired him to do a complete renovation of a video store, where the entire store was custom cabinetry. Tzvi understood my vision, and produced exactly what I wanted. Over the next 15 years Tzvi did ever expanding jobs for me as my store sizes grew. In 1997 Tzvi built a library for me in my house, and 20+ years later, despite having moved locations, all of the cabinetry is still with us in various rooms at our new house. It is wonderful to see that his reputation in Florida is sterling. I can certainly understand why. You could not hire a more honest and capable cabinet maker no matter how large or small your job. He will listen to you and give you exactly what you want... on time and on budget.

After a month or so of talking to potential contractors and obtaining their quotations, gutfeel told me I had not found the perfect fit for my kitchen remodel. I decided to go for customized cabinets as I knew that good cabinets, beautiful and well built, make up the foundation and core of a gorgeous and functional kitchen. I found Morantz Customized Cabinetry in Houzz as among the best, if not the best, in Broward County. Harold Morantz’ long experience in cabinet making, and his many Houzz awards was 90% of the motivation to pursue this approach. I called Harold Morantz and sent him photos of the kitchen for his preliminary review and estimate. His initial reply included a price estimate for the basic features, including the entire process from design to installation and the down payments to be paid at the completion of each stage -- (1) design; (2) completion of the cabinet boxes (3) staining and painting of the doors, crown and light rail molding, and (4) onsite installation. Having begun my contract with Harold just before Thanksgiving, the 8-week process was understandable, and truly well worth it. His design incorporated all the elements we had requested and the modifications he made to maximize space while ensuring an elegant design. Harold was ready for install by the 7th week. His installers were the best in the business – precision cabinet-making at its best. They did their work diligently and efficiently, and dealt with uneven sections of wall and flooring, to ensure that the wall cabinets would hang, and the base cabinet would sit, evenly and straight. The cabinet handles were installed just as precisely as the cabinets. When the last piece of light rail molding was installed, the microwave, electric range and dishwasher fit within 1/8” of an inch, and my dream kitchen came to being. The Silestone pietra quartz fabricator was grateful to have a very even cabinet foundation and complimented the cabinetry. I highly recommend Morantz Customized Cabinetry to anyone wishing beautifully crafted and customized kitchen cabinetry. I am certain that he/she would appreciate both the process and product, as we do. To Harold Morantz and his team, superb job well done and more power to you!

Tzvi saved us from a horrible kitchen contractor that left us hanging with poorly fitting cabinet doors. Morantz Custom Cabinetry was professional, punctual and thorough in all our interactions. I ultimately did not use the company because I opted to go with a different style cabinets that they could not offer me for the price I was able to pay. The company's prices are very fair, especially factoring in their high quality, and I look forward to working with them in the future on my next project. I initially contacted Morantz Custom Cabinetry for an estimate on the designs I had put together for a new kitchen. The company worked with me to solidify my designs and showed me the options I would have available at my price point. Ultimately it came down between Morantz Custom Cabinetry and a very different option that would have me putting my cabinets together myself. I was on a very tight budget by the time I had to make my decision for cabinets on this project and chose to go with what is often called an RTA, ready to assemble, Chinese made cabinetry. My kitchen is finally done and admittedly, I had significant challenges in putting together my cheaper ready to assemble cabinets. If I were to make the choice again I believe I would choose working with Tzvi at Morantz Custom Cabinetry because of his professionalism, skill and integrity. Although I love the look of the cabinets I did install, but having a professional design, construct and install the higher quality cabinets would've been worth the money and going with what was my second choice in style.

We had an armoire done for my dining room to keep my china, silver, cutlery etc. We wanted something custom made so we took full advantage of the wall we had for it. It came out beautiful, the way we envisioned. Love it. Very good quality, excellent service and more than all, delivered as promissed, on time. I'll take pictures so you can see it. It's a black lacquer with brushed chrome feet and knobs/handles.

Tzvi Morantz is absolutely the best custom cabinet maker/designer. Here is the BEST NEWS: His prices BEAT the big box stores!!!!! We recently moved to Fort Lauderdale into a condo that we purchased 4 years ago but leased to renters until we could make our move from Ohio. We knew we wanted to renovate the kitchen along with the living areas. Our greatest fear in the renovation process was in finding the right people to work with. For us, our residence is one of our biggest assets, and in addition to the associated costs, we wanted it to be done right. We also heard horror stories of contractors who took money and disappeared. We began our journey to obtain kitchen cabinets at a big box store. We had some unique challenges because of exposed pipes and electrical conduits and even exposed water lines along the ceiling. The ceiling was concrete and the original builder apparently left everything au naturale. Immediately, we were confronted with selecting between 2 size cabinets: 30” or 42”. We didn’t want the 30” and 42” were sure to be problematic. Regardless, we proceeded to get a quote for the 42” cabinets. The price came in at approximately $16,000 which did not include installation, soft close drawers or hardware, which would add several thousand dollars to the cost. Subsequent to receiving the quote, we decided to lower the ceiling by an inch and one-half, to cover pipes and conduits, and install LED lighting. The 42” cabinets were no longer a possibility. The big box store also didn’t offer high gloss white cabinets which was also an issue. Thankfully, we searched Houzz, and found Mr. Tzvi Morantz. He is a cabinet maker and designer extraordinaire. We met him at the condo. He arrived at the time he said he would; took measurements; and said he would get back with us in a few days with a quote. Per his word, he contacted us a few days later and gave us a quote for the white high gloss cabinets we wanted!!! Before I reveal his quote vis a vis the big box store, let me add that he wanted us to visit his shop before we placed our order. When we arrived, he showed us the different products he had to offer; took us on a tour of his shop to see his machinery and equipment; explained the process to make the cabinets: and suggested that when they were done, we again visit his shop to make sure they met with our expectations. We decided to use the high gloss white cabinets for the main kitchen wall where most of the cabinets and pantry were to be located, and Obeechi for the cabinets in the island. When the cabinets were ready, we visited his shop and loved the cabinets. We couldn’t wait to see them installed. Let me also add that he was able to make the cabinets in a few weeks. When he and his team came to install them, they were extremely professional and absolutely precise. They had to create a piece to cover a large pipe in the ceiling not covered by the lowering of the ceiling mentioned above. What he created looks like a design piece, not a cover for an errant pipe. The end result is a beautiful kitchen that could fill the pages of any magazine. We are so grateful we came across Tzvi. He is a true craftsman, a gentlemen, and a joy to work with. And what was the price of this absolute luxury? His prices were less than 75% of the big box store. I used Morantz Custom Cabinetry to design, build and install the cabinets for my kitchen. Tzvi was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I discovered Morantz by reading the reviews on Houzz.com, and I must say that most of these reviews are on point. Upon providing Tzvi with a drawing of our kitchen and a list of our "must have" features, he provided an estimate within hours. Some other companies I contacted took weeks to deliver an estimate. He was very accommodating and was willing to work within our budget. He's also very knowledgable when designing the kitchen, and will always find ways to maximize your storage space. The cabinets were installed about 3 months ago and they're beautiful. On a few occasions after installation, I contacted Tzvi to correct a few minor issues which he was able to fix with no issue. Morantz manufactured my two custom designed vanities and matching medicine cabinets as agreed, top quality, delivered on time, excellent technical understanding. I went to their shop. Mr. Morantz made beautiful custom cabinets for my kitchen. I had some questions after installation, and he came to my home within an hour. When the countertops were being installed, the installers told me there was a problem with the cabinet for the cooktop. Mr. Morantz' was there within 2 hours, and discovered there was no problem. The installers had measured wrong, and had never actually tried the cooktop in the cabinet. The cooktop fit without any modifications to the cabinet! I highly recommend Mr Morantz. He is always professional and good humored. His cabinets are competitively priced with Home Depot, Cabinets to Go and Ikea. But, his cabinets are of better quality, and made to fit my space

Excellent bathroom vanity and closet cabinetry work. I had a custom master bathroom vanity and guest bath vanity with awkward shape and both came out great and to my specifications. 2 custom closets also done very nicely. Very professional, timely and courteous. Not always the norm in South Florida.
