Muskoka Interiors

We recently had our ensuite renovated by Muskoka Interiors. We had most of the room gutted and started fresh. We had no idea where to start, and we had a fairly tight deadline to get things accomplished before family arrived. Tim was fabulous to work with. He was so cheerful and helpful every time you spoke with him, even on the morning that his trailer had been stolen! Tim had many suggestions to help us modernize and maximize our space and he was so accommodating when we wanted to make changes as we went along through the process. Susan, his mother who works in the showroom, was so patient and helped me with colours and materials when I was feeling overwhelmed by all of the decisions. She really knows her products, how to tie all of the elements of the room together and what will give it that extra pizzazz. . Fraser, the main worker on Tim's team, was meticulous in the detail of his work and took the time to make sure all of the cuts of the tile and flooring lined up to maximize the beauty of the project. He was very happy to offered helpful suggestions, too. Tim was so thorough when he cleaned up, at the end of the day, that I joked that they could be Molly Maid. We came home on the demolition day to find everything in our attached bedroom covered in plastic to protect it. Everything remained so clean, throughout the renovation, that we were able to remain using our bedroom everyday. Our project was done one week ahead of our deadline, except for the shower doors that were back ordered. We thought that they would have to be installed while our family was visiting, but much to Tim's and our amazement they arrived early. Tim and Fraser installed them immediately and the job was completed in time! As well as our bathroom renovations, we had a new pocket door installed in our half bath. Tim was the only renovator who knew how to remove such a door without having to take out the wall, too! Our old door track was too old to work with new door hardware, but Tim found a way to make it happen. The door looks so much nicer and actually works! The subcontractors for the plumbing, lighting and dry walling were just as meticulous. It was obvious that they had all worked together for a long time and had a lot of respect for each other's work and time. Every time I walk into our ensuite I am amazed at how beautiful it looks. We absolutely love, love, love our new bathroom. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you so much Tim and company for all of your efforts. It is truly appreciated and we can't wait to have you come back and renovate the main floor of our home.

We had Zmudkoja kitchebs design and renovate our main bathroom. The colours, tiling and ceramics as well as countertop and enclosed shower are fantastic. Very professional and high quality job. Couldn't be happier so are having them do laundry room next then master bedroom and kitchen. Little by little as the money comes available we plan on having them do the whole house. Sales staff very approachable and will work with you. Nice storefront showroom and well connected with suppliers! Susan was really helpful picking out styles and Tim installed very professionally and on time! Thank you!

Complete kitchen renovation and hardwood flooring on main floor. Susan and Tim were wonderful to work with and professional in the design, planning and installation of our new kitchen. On time and on budget. Sub-trades were excellent too. Extremely happy with finished project. Would hire them again.

We had Muskoka Interiors completely renovate our basement in 2013. They were top-notch! We were able to tour their showroom for ideas before we started. Susan had lots of helpful suggestions to get us exactly what we wanted. Tim, Fraser and all the trades who worked along side them were always on time and respectful to work with. They were always available to talk to, even after the project was completed. The project was completed on time and on budget and we were very satisfied with the work. I would recommend Muskoka Interiors and plan to use them for our own future renovations!

We hired Muskoka to complete a main floor renovation in a 16 year old villa style bungalow. The work involved demolition and removal of existing components, including carpets, walls and cabinets. Completion of the project covered the kitchen cabinets, pantries and a major new island, install of new lighting and wiring, and install and install and finish of the main floor hardwood and tile. The fireplace was extended and covered with stone from floor to ceiling. Overall the project was completed within the three week time line, and we have been very pleased with the quality and finish of the materials, completion on time and budget and the excellent service. I hired Muskoka Interiors to renovate my kitchen, 3 bathrooms and laundry room. They designed and installed a new stair rail, and knocked down my popcorn ceilings to flat and added more pot lights and updated the old ones. Susan did a great job quoting the project and offering color and design ideas that suited my style. She was so patient as I made decisions, changed my mind and then went back to the original ideas. She never pressured me about getting the contract signed and left me to contact her when I was ready. There was also no consultation fee for the time spent quoting and designing the renovations which two other companies wanted to charge me $2500 for this service. Once the contract was finalized Tim and Fraser arrived every morning at 8:00 am and worked hard all day for 3 months. They were an amazing team. They were organized and professional and the quality of work was excellent. Tim hired awesome sub trades (electrician, plumber and drywaller) who did excellent, top notch work as well. Each day the house was left tidy and locked up. One day my daughter came into the house and Fraser, (not knowing who she was), questioned her, making sure strangers were not entering the house. The renovations were on time and on budget right down to the penny. There were no surprises. I did need them to come back to level my microwave and I changed a drawer after the fact and they returned promptly and a new drawer was ordered and installed. I can’t say enough about Muskoka Interiors. I don’t miss the renovation process but I do miss the people. I will reconnect with them soon as I consider my basement renovation!! I highly recommend Muskoka Interiors for any project - large or small! Holly

You are an asset to your trade and others could learn a lot from your business ethic. Your positive attitude was very refreshing. I understand that customers may be hard to deal with at times. There are many contractors to choose from in Calgary and they all tell good stories but we are thankful we selected Muskoka.

Muskoka Kitchens performed a complete remodeling of our 1950’s kitchen and also our two bathrooms. The results were great and visitors to our house are always commenting on how nice the renovations turned out.. Susan is great with design ideas and her positive energy is amazing. Our kitchen warranted a full gut job, it all had to come down. I couldn't stand the lack of space on our island as well as our white, boring, and dirty cabinetry. We did our homework and hired Muskoka Kitchens as per the high recommendations I got from my mom who also used her for some reno work in their house. We really needed a smart layout to maximize space in our kitchen area. We went through several drafts with several different contractors and and finally settled on a design we liked. We would not consider hiring anyone else. Muskoka Kitchens was honest and upfront about cost and kept me up to date on any additions or questions. The crew are skilled, precise, diligent, tidy and very hard working and they mastered our kitchen renos right down to the very last detail. We were very happy with the transformation. Susan had been very helpful right from day one and had her men on the job ASAP whenever we encountered a problem. Muskoka has been doing renovation work for me since 2007. This has included completely redoing bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms in multiple properties, as well as a number of smaller jobs. I've always found their work to be high quality, that they can get a project done on time, and that their budget estimates are pretty accurate. They are also good about coming back to do service work. I am happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.

Susan does an excellent job of giving us enough design options to feel like we picked just the right design without feeling overwhelmed. Tim and his crew do a fantastic job – and they are fun to work with. Projects always come in right at the quoted price, and on time. Whenever I have asked for changes, Tim is happy to accommodate. So many contractors seem to focus on problems whereas Tim and Susan are full of solutions. I have recommended Muskoka to many friends and will continue to do so in the future.

We had a very pleasant experience with Muskoka Interiors during the Reno of our Kitchen, Laundry Room/Mud room, main floor washroom and main floor hardwood installation. Tim arrived at our house with a 6 week calendar in hand showing the timeline for Demo, Electrical, Cabinet installation, Flooring, Painting etc and kept very close to the timeline. Susan was great with the Kitchen design and offered great advice and ideas. All the crew were very pleasant and very respectful of our home. They showed great Pride in their work. Tim made a quick decision to remove and replace the back splash Glass tile when the finished product was not up to his standards. We were on Vacation for part of our renovation but Tim made sure to send Photos and keep us up to date on the Reno. We would definitely recommend Muskoka Interiors for any Home renovations and we would hire them again. We are delighted with our Finished Renovation. Their Pricing was very Competitive and actually came in lower than 2 other quotes that we received.
