“I had a master bathroom and laundry room remodeling project performed by Hoisington Legacy Construction (HLC). The design elements were principally my own, with the assistance of outside consultants; HLC provided the technical know-how. The laundry room component was relatively simple, requiring removal of an inexpensive laundry sink, and installation of a tall cabinet (a pantry cabinet), and new sink and countertop. Additionally, a removable shelf was installed behind the washer and dryer to stop sock gremlins. The bathroom project was much more involved, requiring construction of a new curbless walk-in shower, replacement of a whirlpool tub, replacement of two large vanities, construction of a new cabinet/shelf unit, installation of tile flooring and replacement of lighting and wall fixtures. Concurrently, two closets were remodeled (by a closet installer). The work was performed by Sam Hoisington and several subcontractors, and was overseen by his father Tim. All in all, the finished product is impecable. Sam showed up when expected and worked very methodically/carefully. Subcontractors were well managed. Communication was generally good, and any (minor) disagreements were amicably settled. The cost was reasonable, particularly in light of the quality of the work. It's likely that I will ask Sam and Tim to do other renovation projects in the future.”
