Pilgrims Custom Cabinets & Construction

All I can say is WOW! We purchased a new refrigerator back in Sept 2023 and, upon installation, it leaked and destroyed not only the flooring, but several of the cabinets that were adjacent to the refrigerator. Never having had a home claim before, we really did not know where to start in terms of putting things back together. After MONTHS of working with our insurer to come up to a price that would enable us to restore our home to pre-loss condition, we reached out to Amy at Pilgrims Cabinets in Salem, Oregon, and I could not be more thankful that we connected. We met with Amy in person to talk about our project, and although they were only creating the cabinets and not coordinating the entire home rebuild project, she gave us very detailed, step-by-step instructions as to what we needed to do first, second, ect, to get the project underway. If she hadn't done this, I know with absolute certainty we'd still be sitting with a job that wasn't remotely finished. Not only was Amy helpful outlining the entire project, she also gave us a tour of their family-owned cabinet making shop and assured us of the highest quality standards for our new cabinets. Our cabinets were late 90's, so a little dated looking and of course we would have loved to replace them all, but we could not afford to do so, but Pilgrims matched the existing cabinets BEAUTIFULLY, and at a reasonable price. We really could not be happier with the quality craftsmanship that the owner (Chris) did on our cabinets. We know they will last a long, long time. I HIGHLY recommend working with Pilgrims Custom Cabinets, Chris who is the owner, and Amy, who mapped out the process for us and made our lives infinitely easier by doing so. Promptly after our initial consultation, we were provided detailed drawings of all the cabinets. The final result exceeded our expectations. Amy is an excellent listener and an expert advisor. She understood our preferences and made many helpful suggestions, most of which we used. Our cabinets are beautiful, functional, well built, and contribute so much to our enjoyment of our new home. We hired Pilgrims to remodel the bedrooms and master bath. This is our third project with Pilgrims and we were very happy with the final result of each one. The most recent project included replacing all woodwork with fir to match new windows except for the cherry bath vanity and cherry hall closets. The bathroom was tiled and all fixtures replaced. The bedrooms were painted and carpeted. Lighting in all the rooms was redone and updated. We loved working with Amy Booher, Pilgrims’ designer and project manager. She has an excellent eye and sense of color and style. She was sensitive to our style and really appreciated her suggestions particularly in the tile and granite. Pilgrims used excellent subcontractors who did wonderful work and were professional in every way—craftsmen. The project stayed on schedule and all glitches were dealt with immediately. We plan to work with Pilgrims again on our next project.

We contracted with Pilgrims to do a complete remodel of our kitchen and family room. Our budget was always taken in to consideration and respected. Both Amy and Jeff suggested design elements that significantly enhanced our original vision for the space. The work was completed within our budget and on schedule. The end result far surpassed our expectations. The employees at Pilgrims are skilled and take pride in their work. The craftsmanship and quality of work is superior. It was a pleasure doing business with everyone at Pilgrims and we recommend them without hesitation.

Amy was a delight to work with. She has great design sense and took our priorities to create a plan. The design phase was great because Amy did several revisions until we had what we wanted and what worked with our budget. All the crew and sub-contractors were respectful of our space and cleaned up. The final result is the kitchen I have wanted for the past 8 years. It is beautiful and we love it!

Pilgrims renovated our fifty year old beach house on the Oregon coast. It is now a charming coast cottage. We had owned and used the house for 10 years. Our wish was to add a second bathroom and an overall update. We wanted the knotty pine paneling throughout the house preserved and used again. We asked for simplicity and charm. Preplanning with Pilgrims included wants, have-to-haves, layout changes, plans and permits, surface material choices for floors and counters, and cabinet styles. In order to add the second bathroom it was necessary to change the roof line. Design ideas were presented to us to choose from. Local zoning requirements surfaced and Pilgrims worked with us and the county to resolve them. Planning started a few months before the actual work. When the work started it rolled continuously for four months. There were no long delays or excuses. Unexpected problems surfaced as work progressed. We were involved in all decisions. Pilgrims staff and their crews were friendly, courteous and careful. The process was a pleasure and the result continues to please us. We wouldn't hesitate to use Pilgrims again, and would highly recommend them to others.
