“Jim has painted the exterior of my Arts-and-Crafts style house, and painted several interior rooms in the house. I also recommended him to my boyfriend, where he painted a good deal of the outside porches and trim. His work is exceptionally meticulous, especially the prep work. The paint jobs last a long, long time because he is careful to do it right. No sloppy work. He always comes on time and completes the job in an expedient manner. His bid will not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for!”

“I would highly recommend this contractor. We undertook a major renovation of our home in 2012. Makatura was one of several firms recommended to me by the architect hired to design the new space and makeover. I found them to be straight forward right from the get-go. Of all of the contractors interviewed, they made the best impression - not by trying to tell me what I wanted to hear or "schmooze" me, but by direct, informative, and intelligent responses to my concerns. They weren't the lowest priced bid, but they struck me as the right company in which to entrust my project and my home. As with every major project, there are often unseen issues that only are revealed as the project progresses. Our project was no exception - issues with a rotted chimney, poor choices by the previous builder, and even some internal damage by mice, all came to light as we moved forward. Makatura was exceedingly professional in both addressing and fixing the issues and in managing the natural concerns of the homeowner - me. At every step of the project, they were attentive, accommodating, responsive, and patient. They took the time to educate me on each and every question that I posed to them. With the project now finished, we staged a beautiful wedding this spring at the house. The amount of compliments that we received from our guests was overwhelming. We are very pleased with the end result.”
