Premier has done two projects for us: master bath remodel and backyard deck and patio. We have been very pleased with their work and I highly recommend Wes McWhorter and his team. The one thing I’ve found about working with Wes is he really listens to what the client wants, and then delivers. For both projects we got exactly what we wanted and at a fair price. I’ve had other firms try to sell me on THEIR ideas, which is not a good sign. Premier is not the cheapest remodeling firm in Salem but also not the most expensive. The employees, especially on the backyard remodel, were friendly and hard working. Great guys to work with, and respectful of our property. His sub-contractors also were great. If you choose Premier Remodeling you will be glad you did!

Wes McWhorter, Premier Remodeling and Design, has top-notch skills both as a contractor and a communicator. He turned a potential nightmare scenario into a real gift. My rental home in Salem, Oregon, formerly my mom’s place, was totally gutted by fire in the middle of the night during the Covid pandemic. Fortunately, no one was home or hurt, but I live more than 600 miles away. It was a daunting situation. Wes made managing the entire experience -- working with my insurance company, planning, designing, bringing in great subcontractors, and making the countless decisions about the rebuild a smooth and fluid process. He was there all the way, listening, advising and turning what had been a somewhat outdated older house into a truly lovely showcase home. I was more than lucky to have Wes and Premier on the job.

This was continuously reinforced throughout the project. In addition, several members of his crew said he was the best boss they had ever worked with. The darker stain brought a warmth to the entire home! New door! New and improved all purpose room! Buyer beware. Project began October 2018 with completion promised by Christmas. The project was abandoned right after Christmas with the bulk of the interior work incomplete. Project management was nonexistent and the workmanship was sloppy, Defects were known but not corrected. As of June 2019 project still incomplete. The contract was cost plus despite this there were hidden fees. There were many financial irregularities. This company is a thief disguised as a general contractor.

I bought an older home about 15 years ago with the intensions of remodeling it myself. I have a few skills, but I do not have the tools, or most importantly, the "tricks" to make the job easier, less costly, etc. I also got burned out working All the time. Work at work, then come home and work some more. So, I lived in a partially remodeled home for 8 or 10 years... WAY To long!! Somewhere in that time I met Wes McWhorter of Premier Remodeling & Design. We had several business conversations and I decided to let him give me an estimate. One of the things I like about Wes is he has great knowledge of the "cool" things to do to a home, and he shares them openly with out being pushy. The job took a bit longer than was supposed to (which one doesn't) but my new wife and I LOVE our new home!!! We can't wait to do more! When we do, we will call Wes.

Hired Premier Remodeling & Design to do a kitchen remodel & updates in several areas of our home. It ran way over-budget and took far too long. We had hoped to hire them for future projects but were shocked at how much they exceeded our budget and how excruciatingly long it took. Things still are not done and questionable accounting. Very dissatisfied at the end of this experience and not re-hire or recommend.

I put off doing a remodel for many years partially because of the expense but mostly because I worried about finding a talented, trustworthy, patient, understanding, kind contractor...Wes fits that bill extremely well! Wes was an excellent listener and was remarkably easy to work with. Every problem that came up along the way, Wes and his crew capably handled. He had great suggestions throughout the project and the end result is a beautiful, functional, fully modern kitchen that still fits with the period of the house. Wes McWhorter is the pro of pros. His excitement and obvious love of our home in the Court-Chemeketa Historic District was the reason we hired him out of the 20 contractors we interviewed. Everything was completed with the best of the best here in Oregon. Sub-contractors compete to work for him. The historic home bug has bitten Wes and he has moved two streets down to restore yet another of our treasured homes in the Court-Chemeketa Historic District. You can trust him at every turn. If you have an older home, ours was built in 1926, then Premier is the company to hire. Thank you.

Premier Remodeling and Design did all the work for a complete master bath remodel, from demolition to the finished product. We had a very specific design in mind (what I term "Scandinavian style" - sleek and clean lines), and Wes McWhorter delivered on that vision. He stayed on budget, and brought in excellent sub-contractors who were respectful of our home. We love the results! Wes also helped with repainting and some minor work in our adjoining bedroom. I would definitely recommend him. Premier is not the cheapest contractor in the Salem area, but not the most expensive either. You get good quality for a fair price. His subs also spoke highly of him to me, which said a lot.

Premier was a great partner in the design and construction of our wine cellar. We had no previous experience. Premier worked with us to define the scope of the project by determining our needs; brought in a designer to assist us envision and coordinate a total room perspective; drew computer generated racking designs to fit our budget; and coordinated ordering of materials and installation of racking. Their number one priority was to exceed our expectations and they definitely were successful.

We worked with Wes to finish a remodel of our bathroom. We had some special needs with bathtub size and Wes helped us find the best tub for the space. The finishes are great and his work top grade. He helped with big picture needs and adding a pocket door which we did not think about before. Budget was right on and he was very professional. Master Bathroom Remodel - Replacement of shower with plumbing fixtures, wall finishes and flooring. Premier Remodeling took charge of the project and coordinated 7 different trades with virtually no disruption to the household. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. The original estimate was a budget for the project - the final billing provided a list of the billings from each trades, supply purchases from each vendor as well as Premier's time and mark up. The process was seamless and easy to understand. Changes made during construction turned into simple decisions in large part due to Premier Remodeling & Design's experience and knowledge. I would recommend this contractor to anyone considering a remodel and I plan on using them for future remodels.
