Residential Construction Services led by Kirk Gunkel were fantastic. We added on 653 square feet to our home for our Mother to come live with us in Bayou Vista, TX. An entire suite including a living room with fireplace, large bathroom, and large bedroom. Our home is on pylons over 10' in the air. The attention to detail and workmanship was 2nd to none. New roof, home painted, slab poured and pilings added, the addition, new stairway and deck. It took several months of navigating the weather and Kirk lining up all the best contractors. It turned out beautifully. Looking at our home now you would never know the addition was not part of the original home. We couldn't be more pleased! We plan on some additional renovation in the future and we intend to use RCS again without a doubt. Have piece of mind that Kirk and the RCS team is upfront and honest. My job was done and completed great. I went from a dark Green to a beautiful Smokey Gray. Beautiful light color. My job was started and finished all in one day. The cleanup was fantastic . All the old cover was taken away and my patio was swept and left very clean.

Kirk has always done a great job on any job I have brought him on for. This is the second flooring job he has done for a property of mine. Still a lot of work is needed in the house, but the flooring looks great and a major project is finished!

The work was done when they said they would, it was done right the first time. What impressed me the most was when they said they would be here, they were. The work was done right, spotless, and you can't tell with the old sheetrock and the new begin and end. My wife was happy so that says a lot.

Residential Construction Services (Kirk) installed a hood range vent over our gas stove. Wall work and painting was involved as well. Our house was built in 1901, so attic work was a challenge. Kirk promptly provided a competitive estimate. When he started the project, he laid tarps out everywhere. He had a strong focus on keeping everything clean. It was a multi-day project, but he made sure to clean up completely at the end of each day. He managed the workers who dry walled and floated. They did excellent work. Kirk was a total professional and I'd recommend him to anyone. We're going to be using his services again for sure.

We recently had unexpected water damage and had to redo 2 large Rooms in the home. Kirk came out & reviewed the damaged rooms, gave us an estimate & stated that when we were ready to look at flooring he would meet us at the store to help us. We decided on flooring & he immediately setup time to start the job. He was not only professional but so was his assistant. It looks absolutely amazing.

Kirk was fabulous from the start! He was the ONLY person to return my call! He agreed to meet me the next day to help me out. Showed up on time, well prepared, completed the jobs and even hauled off the trash. He was very fairly priced too!! A true professional I will use again!

After our home was flooded by Hurricane Harvey, we searched for a contractor that would repair our home not only for a fair price but one that prided itself in its workmanship and honesty. We couldn't be happier with Kirk. They remodeled our house from bottom to top (literally). They were personable, extremely thorough and treated us and our home like family. We even asked them to go beyond a regular repair and remodel our upstairs bathrooms (which never flooded). They did an outstanding job and the price was more than fair. They provided us with quotes and they didn't waiver on their pricing. They helped us with choosing our materials and gave us ideas on colors schemes and provided us with other remodeling ideas. If you ever get the chance to meet these guys, you won't be disappointed!!! They are honest and responsive and their work speaks for itself. We were overjoyed with the results of our home and everyone that came by to see the renovations said it’s gorgeous. I totally agree, it's beautiful and I can't believe I get to live here!!! I worked with Residential Construction Services to remodel my grandmother's home in Galveston, TX. Prior to the start of the project, Kirk provided detailed estimates by line item. This allowed the project to stay on budget with minimal overages. In regard to the work, they did an AMAZING job renovating the home. Their craftsmanship was exceptional in every area and the home looks amazing. I have plans for future updates to this property and others and I will definitely be using RCS due to their quality work and incredible attention to detail.

When I recently bought a home in Lago Mar in Texas City, I wanted several upgrades, mostly in the kitchen. I found Kirk, and he took care of everything, from adding cabinet hardware in the kitchen and bathrooms, to installing pull-out shelves in the lower cabinets, and finally, replacing the plain white tile backsplash with a more colorful and stylish tile. I love it all! He was very pleasant to work with, and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend his company.

I used Residential Construction Services on several projects. Each time I’ve been so impressed by the quality of work that has been done. The guys are very honest, experienced and professional, yet very personable and friendly - they’re my favorite contractor. On this project, we had problems with the patio roof. It had a leak and structural issues. Kirk fixed the problem, replacing the posts, beam and working with a structural engineer for windstorm certification. He took it to another level, installed lighting, Shiplap on the ceiling and wrapping the beams to look finish columns. I highly recommend Kirk and his team to any of my friends.i

After Hurricane Ike, hit my Tiki Island home and surrounding coastal areas in 2008. I had my house repaired by a company that was not reputable. The floors were installed incorrectly. One year later my beautiful dark wood floors buckled, I was devastated to say the least! I couldn’t believe I had to do them all over again. Later I found Kirk from RCS, who came in nice and calm.
