Royal Palm Closet Design & Fine Cabinetry

My husband and I had been debating whether to paint our kitchen vs remodel and we came across Royal Palm Closets and Custom Kitchen Cabinetry. We visited their store to ask few questions and set up a home consult and that is where we met one of the owners, Bonnie. We ended up contacting them to do a kitchen remodel along with a master bath and pool bath. We were nervous going with the company that didn’t come with a recommendation and that we had found just by walking into their showroom. I can tell you that they were probably one of the most professional companies that we have ever worked with, and we have remodeled over the years, several projects at other homes. Bonnie helped design and pick out all the finishes and was extremely helpful and receptive to any questions that I had throughout the whole project from beginning to end. Prior to our remodel start start date we received a project book that detailed every single cabinet, drawer, hardware, selection, layout, and the dates of when contractors would be in our home to do the work, what work they were doing, and their names. Everybody was scheduled for the whole project prior to it even beginning along with all materials. Every night I received an email of who was going to be arriving, and what they were going to be doing. All of the workers that entered my home were extremely professional and took great care in cleaning up at the end of the day. I would highly recommend them for any projects as I love how my kitchen and bathrooms came out.

We engaged Royal Palm to perform a kitchen remodel, and while the final overall result is satisfactory (the cabinets are well constructed), the time and money it took to get there was completely unacceptable. This was quite surprising given we had used them for another kitchen remodeling effort several years ago, but apparently many things have changed there, and not for the better. While we anticipated a lengthy permitting process due to Hurricane Ian, we did not anticipate that it would take 2 months to submit application for the permit and then 8 months to complete the installation once the permit was received. We were given a one-month install schedule that fell apart on day 1. Overall, the project took 15 months to complete. While the design phase went smoothly, thereafter the execution left a lot to be desired. Lack of project management oversight (scheduling and coordination) was the main culprit, although we also suspect personnel turnover also contributed, in addition to some inexplicable errors and omissions. We would not recommend engaging Royal Palm Closet Design & Fine Cabinetry for any renovation work until the company can prove these issues have been addressed and resolved.

Would highly recommend Royal Palm for your remodeling needs! Have had several projects completed over the years with the latest a complete master bath remodel and upgrades to laundry, guest bath and kitchen. The craftsmanship is superb. Bonnie and her staff are complete professionals and we appreciated her design concepts that met with our vision. The cost was reasonable and kept within budget. Most importantly it was a pleasure to work with everyone who took great pride in their work.

Cannot believe how quickly our dream kitchen came to be! Bonnie's team did a tremendous job! Looking forward to our bathroom remodel! Professional, respectful and they know what they are doing!!

Great at design. Takes the whole project from start to finish. Shops with the customer for products. Makes a timeline and sticks to it
