I found The Kitchen Factory and its owner Shane to be a very knowledgeable and creative asset to the remodeling of my laundry room and guest bath. He was always available for questions and help with any issue that came up and I am very pleased with my beautiful new cabinets.

Shane at the Kitchen Factory designed a beautiful kitchen for my home. I found Shane when researching the types of cabinets I wanted for my kitchen remodel. From the minute I walked into the Kitchen Factory I got the right vibe from Shane. He came to our home to check out the space and do measurements. He listened carefully to what I thought I wanted and most importantly how me and my family live and entertain. He immediately had ideas about how to reconfigure and best utilize my existing space. Upon receipt of the actual design drawings I knew we had a winner. Throughout the actually remodel, Shane walked with me to ensure everything turned out the way I wanted. He, of course, helped me pick cabinets that suited my taste and budget, He accompanied me to the stone yard where he had preselected granite samples for my counter tops and he did the same for my flooring and backsplash tile. He also shopped with me for faucets, sinks, and light fixtures. Finally, Shane helped me select my cabinet hardware and paint colors. Bottom line is that Shane ensured the finished product is better than I could have ever imagined. Oh, and we redid our bar as well and he paid as much attention to that small space as he did to my kitchen. I highly recommend Shane Wilhoite and The Kitchen Factory. You will not be disappointed.

Jana is great, she did a beautiful design for our kitchen. I especially like the shelf where I can put my pottery. The cabinets are made really well and we very much enjoy them and the kitchen layout. Jana gave us great advice and support throughout.

Jana was a complete professional, easy to work with and had great ideas. Most importantly, she listened to us. Her attention to detail made this job perfect. Jana guided us through the process and we trusted her. The quality of the cabinets is amazing and the installers were terrific and knowledgeable. Like most people's kitchen's - our kitchen is the heart of our home and keeping that in mind, Shane designed & created not only a user friendly kitchen, but an elegant, sophisticated space that truly is the central hub where people gather to prepare food, eat & chat. When designing the kitchen, Shane provided us with all the necessary information, research, reassurance but most of all, confidence, that what we wanted, could and would be done! The Kitchen Factory, and in particular, Shane, made the process of renovating the kitchen a simple & pleasurable experience, which only took 10 weeks from start to finish. It was evident from the beginning, that Shane had designed countless kitchens of all sizes and styles, thus providing me with all the basic principles in creating a supreme kitchen. Every great kitchen, is efficient and Shane provided our kitchen with the maximum efficiency possible, and this was done by organization, maximizing the space and through the work "triangle". In addition to efficiency, he helped to make the kitchen feel open, by removing the soffits, over the cabinets and by providing additional lighting, both in cabinets and under cabinets. Pendent lighting over the island was also added at Shane's suggestion, thus making the kitchen excel and giving it a sense of elegance it would not have had. One of our biggest challenges was our center island - when my husband & I started designing our island, it become a "continent" as we really had no set formula for figuring out how large the island should be! However, after consulting with Shane and deciding what we actually wanted the island to do for us, our "continent" finally became a beautiful, functional, working island .All in all, my experience in working with The Kitchen Factory, and in particular, Shane was a highly positive one. Shane was extremely professional, skillful, competent and his designs exceedingly surprised & amazed me. In addition to Shane's professionalism and design skills, Shane's other amazing qualities which are extremely important when designing are - he is very easy to work with, he is friendly, diplomatic, polite & gracious, but strong when he needs to be! Rarely have we encountered such design innovation, passion,honesty, creativity, follow-thru and client service as we did with Kitchen Factory. Their cabinets are gorgeous and second to none in quality. Our kitchen is gorgeous. But the real treasure to be found at this quaint operation on Ventura Blvd is Jana Lowenthal, who shepherded us through this project expertly and enthusiatically. Run, don't walk.

We are thrilled with our kitchen designed by Jana of the Kitchen Factory. Our kitchen looks more expansive than before and is much more functional. Jana worked within our budget, helped us immensely with choosing the color and design of our cabinetry, and worked well with the contractor and supplier of appliances. Everyone who sees our kitchen says that Jana's design is "pure genius."

Shane Wilhoite drew up the design for our kitchen. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Unlike other designers I contacted, Shane listened to me and designed the kitchen I wanted, instead of trying to foist a pre-concieved plan off on me. He came up with excellent suggestions to work around space issues, like using an 18" dishwasher instead of a 24" one in order to accommodate under cabinet organizers. He kept us apprised of the delivery schedule and contacted the cabinet installer for us. When there was a mistake made at the cabinet factory (a typo -- not Shane's fault!), before I knew what was happening, Shane was at my door to assess the situation and on the phone to alleviate the issue. He tracked down unusual items for me, like an under-cabinet cookbook holder. Our cabinets are exquisite, the design of the cabinets is very functional, and we are thrilled with the entire project. If I had another kitchen to remodel, Shane would be the first person I contacted.

My Kitchen experience with the Kitchen Factory was a dream come true. Shane Wilhoite, our designer from the Kitchen Factory, listened carefully to our likes and dislikes, our dreams and the type of cooking we like to do. He guided us gracefully through every hurdle. My Husband and I are truly “Mars and Venus” when it comes to interior design and although on the opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to color and style, Shane was able to help us meet in the middle and find the perfect balance. My Biggest fear was that we couldn’t find the right product (didn’t know where to look or shop) and if we did find it, I feared we wouldn’t be able to make a decision in time enough for the shipping and installation to meet all the deadlines that are involved in such a huge remodel. Shane made the process easy, and he even made it a pleasure. He took us everywhere and he knows what is out there. He inspired me to trust my instincts and to not give up when I thought I had seen every cabinet ”knob” and “pull” on the planet and still couldn’t find one spectacular enough: until, OMG, there it was!!!!! He worked well with my Contractor and the person that laid the tile and cut the stone but he wouldn’t let anyone get away with anything less than perfect. He truly oversaw everything and he has the “Vision” and can see things installed in his head before they leave the store. I should also mention that the cabinets are the highest quality I have ever experienced and when they say “custom”, they mean custom: they are literally floor to ceiling furniture and functional as well as beautiful. Jana Lowenthal at the Kitchen Factory is a true kitchen pro. I was doing a whole house remodel and I took my architect's initial kitchen and pantry layout to her and she made sensible aesthetic and practical changes that preserved the architect's vision while enhancing its usability (and saving me some money as well)! From door and drawer selections to help with finishes (in my case painted) and add ons she had helpful suggestions. The actual design process was incredibly efficient and she was great at coordinating appliance specs to make sure everything would be right the first time. In fact, she went beyond the call of duty by contacting both the manufacturer (Thermador) and a local appliance vendor to make certain that the refrigerator door would operate as desired. Delivery was timely and she arranged a period of free storage while the site was prepped. She provided a referral to an excellent contractor who installed the cabinets perfectly at a fair price. One minor error on the order was corrected quickly at no cost. Throughout the process, Jana was highly responsive and proactive making sure that I was both kept informed and happy. My entire experience with her couldn't have been better. Two final observations: - I started this review stating that Jana was a true kitchen design professional and this is important when you're planning on remodeling a kitchen. Her experience designing hundreds, if not thousands of kitchens means she know all of the tricks of the trade - both practical and aesthetic. While and architect may design a thing of beauty, not all have the specialist kitchen knowledge to make a kitchen work perfectly for the end user. While a cabinet maker may offer great service as part of your general contractor's team, again, they are not (generally) kitchen design pros. And don't get me started on the big box stores! 'Nuff said... - If you are considering painted cabinetry, you will get no better paint finish than that available though one of the manufacturers Jana represents. The real selling point to me was the ability to specify any Benjamin Moore color. This was a real plus - because we we all know how many whites, blacks and everything in-between are out there and no one have to settle for stock colors. Hire Jana Lowenthal at the Kitchen Factory - you won't regret it. In fact - I was was so happy with the kitchen cabinets I hired her again to do my master vanity with equally outstanding results.

They did an excellent work! I am very happy with my choice and I would totally recommend The Kitchen Factory to my friends or family members. They have great designers and excellent customer service!

We went with Brookhaven cabinets by Wood Mode in rift cut natural oak...simple, classy, modern. Jana made all the features we had in mind work in a tight space. I couldn't be happier!

The Kitchen Factory and specifically, Shane Wilhoite, designed my kitchen remodel. I bought beautiful well made cabinets from the Woodmode line. The cabinetry was delivered on time and installed perfectly. In addition, Shane provided interior design input. His assistance in helping me choose tile, granite, flooring and paint that complemented my cabinets and the house itself was invaluable.
