The Virginia Bath Company completed the renovation of our 1958 dormer bathroom and did an outstanding job! I wish I had known about Rich and his brother Mike when we renovated our other bathroom several years ago! I can say, without any reservations, you must hire them if you are considering bathroom renovation. Rich provided a fair and reasonable estimate compared to other contractors. He gave us a start and completion date, and he was able to complete our project in that timeframe because they do one project at a time. Rich is excellent at communicating, responding to emails very quickly. We always knew where we stood before and during the process. Rich connected us with reliable tile and fixture suppliers and was very helpful with guiding us through the selection process. His plumbing and electrical contractors did great work and were very efficient. Rich gave honest feedback on any of our questions. He is someone we could trust to give us the right advice. After the completion of each day’s work, Rich would review the work that had been done and what work would be done next. Rich and Mike cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Their attention to detail was incredible. They were able to easily switch our shower head to the opposite wall, so it was no longer on the slanted/dormer wall. They smoothed out areas of our plaster walls/ceiling until they were like new. They did amazing work laying out the tile with minimal and clean grout lines. They really provided their full attention to every detail. Our home is a generational family home. When our family and friends saw the transformation, it brought happy tears to their eyes! I didn’t want to wait six months to get our bathroom remodeled, but it was worth the wait because VA Bath Company did a wonderful job. They started work just one day past the planned start date and the hat was through no fault of theirs; the outdoor temps were too low to use the wet saw to cut tile. They work in amazing synchrony with one another and actually finished a day early. I can confidently recommend them to anyone who wants/needs a bathroom remodeled. BTW, these brothers are very upbeat and considerate. We’ve already had compliments on the bathroom.

We have now used VBC for 6 baths in two homes and our only regret is not having more bathrooms for them to help us with. Having had experience in building several homes I can honestly say that this is the finest contractor I’ve ever worked with, bar none. A detailed quotation was provided in a timely manner for the project and all was completed on time and within budget. Rich Sowinski is refreshingly organized, punctual, and pleasant to be around. Our home was respected throughout the work period and was cleaned everyday. Their work is impeccable, but more importantly their level of detail and communication is faultless. Rich and Mike have a longterm core of subcontractors/suppliers, i.e. painters, glass works, plumbers, etc. and the respect they have for each other is just refreshing. The Virginia Bath Company is amazing! We heard about the company on a neighborhood social media platform, where it was highly recommended. We got estimates, and The Virginia Bath Company's Rich Sowinski, the contractor who took on our master bath project, told us the project would take about three weeks, exclusive of the shower enclosure installation. It actually took...three weeks! We were amazed, and the quality of the work is exactly what we hoped for. Rich is easy to communicate with; replies to emails quickly; provides a clear schedule; is punctual, friendly and positive; and does stellar and professional work. Everywhere we went to pick out materials (tile, cabinetry, etc.), as soon as we mentioned who was doing our bath, we heard, "Oh, he's excellent!" The Virginia Bath Company (Rich Sowinski and his brother Mike) came highly recommended to me by a friend and we could not be more pleased with the total experience and the results! Our main goal was to replace a 45 year old fiberglass shower unit with a tiled shower with grab bars while also replacing the sink and faucet, the medicine cabinet, and doing some minor work in the other 1 1/2 baths in our home. Rich listened well to our needs and gave good and practical recommendations both at his first visit and as things proceeded. Rich and Mike were both very professional but also very warm and upbeat. Even their vendors refer to them as 'our happiest contractors'! Rich was very organized and an excellent communicator throughout. He was also quite punctual--almost to the minute! Rich Sowinski and his brother Mike are amazing! The project was to demolish and rebuild a 50 year old bathroom. From the time of Rich's first visit to the time the work was completed, Rich and Mike were a pleasure to have in our home. The project took just over 3 weeks to complete, starting on time and finishing on time. Every morning at 7.15 am sharp they started work - you could set the clock by it. Rich is a great communicator and always responsive. He took great pains to ensure we knew exactly what was happening each day and that everything was as we wanted it to be. There is a rare level of integrity in the way they do business. The demolition revealed excessive water damage to the floor and wall joists. The rotten timber was cleaned out, the floor and damaged joists were replaced - not a nickel was added to the contract. With pleasure we summarize our experience with The Virginia Bath Company. Our goal was to remodel an outdated builder grade guest bath. Following an interview with Rich S. and review of the proposed contract, (which turned out to be very near the final cost!) our experience with this company began. We were excited to begin the remodel with Rich and Mike arriving ON THE DATE AT THE TIME they had indicated in a final pre- remodel meeting! We were impressed that on each workday they arrived on time and completed tasks as scheduled with professional workmanship and attention to detail. As with some/ most/ many projects, the unexpected occurred related to the placement of some pipes and valves behind the bath/ shower insert which could not have been noted prior to its removal. This team presented alternatives and contacted a plumber to work around this unexpected dilemma. As it turns out, their suggestion actually enhances the functionality of the shower! We found Rich and Mike easy to work with when requests were made (i.e. dimmer switch addition and moving a towel bar FIVE inches) because we honestly believe that their aim is to make sure you are truly happy with the results of your bath remodel. You will likely find, as we did, that Rich will propose and deliver the best quality and value for a custom bath renovation in this region - all on budget and on schedule. The VA Bath Company was not the least or the most expensive proposal we received, however, it was immediately clear to us that with renovating four full baths in an older home we really needed his level of expertise, experience, flexibility and commitment - yes, Rich and his brother Mike are not the project each and every day doing the actual work. We had to wait a number of months to get our large project underway (a really good contractor is going to have a number of other projects on their schedule in front of yours) and Rich helped us determine the best approach to phase it while minimizing the disruption that renovation projects can involve. Rich stuck to his schedule and timelines and we started both phases on the exact day we scheduled for months prior. In the interim it gave us a chance to ensure we addressed making all of our tile, paint, vanity top, fixtures and hardware selections made and ordered to fit the project timeline. Come project time Rich and Mike arrived on time every morning and made sure the floors and furnishings throughout the house were protected for the day and then ensured that at the end of each day everything was cleaned and in order before departing, Each morning and afternoon Rich discussed the plan for the day and then the plan for the next day so we were always aware of the status of the effort. What we found out throughout the months our project was underway was that Rich and Mike are not only experts in their field with awesome electrical, plumbing and shower door subs, they are two of the nicest, most upbeat guys that you will ever meet! Each and every day...whether cold, rain..or both..no matter...they arrived with a cheerful demeanor and looked like they would rather be doing nothing else. If you engage The VA Bath Company for your project you are going to get supremely conscientious professionals who handle whatever curveballs an older home can throw at them and also the patience to adjust to client driven changes during the flow of the project. You aren't going to get that from the cookie-cutter companies out there. Rich and Mike didn't hesitate to install some very large dimension tile in two of our four bathrooms and the results are amazing! Rich and Mike at the Virginia Bath Company are a dynamic duo! They arrive early in the morning and get right to work--with excellent results. They did a total re-do of the main bath and refreshed the hall half-bath--and I'm delighted with both rooms. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Virginia Bath Company. Rich and Mike provide excellent service while completing their work with top tier quality. This latest project was our second full bath for the bedrooms. We also had them renovate our master bathroom in November, 2019. It starts day one when I signed the contract with VA Bath. Rich provided me with a list of recommended suppliers and I went looking for our materials at our own pace. Once I picked out my materials, Rich works with each supplier to ensure that our items arrive on time for his installation schedule. When our time came, Rich and Mike went to work; it took them 8 business days to go from complete demolition to 90% working bathroom (I was awaiting the new granite counter). Each day, they come ready to work with smiles on their faces. Each day, they clean up so well after themselves that we barely notice they were there (except for the bathroom improvements!). Once the granite was available and installed, Rich and Mike finished up our project the next day. In addition to their stellar work, I would be remiss not to also call out Rich's desire to make us happy. He understands the investment we made and wants us to be satisfied. He worked to resolve issues that arose, even under the best laid plans. For example, I had a floor tile mismatch due to older tile from the previous bathroom - Rich heads to Richmond to resolve and pick up more good tile. I picked out a great paint color that looked wonderful with the tile, but not the vanity; Rich scheduled the painter to come back. Indeed, things happen that could be chalked up to customer issues but Rich made them his own and helped me to resolve them. He's a wonderful bathroom remodel expert and would highly recommend him.

WOW! One of the best companies we have ever employed. They fulfilled the four “P” for us: They were Professional, Prompt, Punctual and Prepared. Other attributes of Rich and Mike are they were: communicative, knowledgeable, congenial, efficient, respectful, and resourceful. The reconstruction of our bathroom was a major job. The remodeling consisted of installing a new shower, porcelain flooring and shower tile with epoxy grout, insulation, tub glass enclosure, shower rain head, and a shower quartz shower bench and counter top. . Rich made the shower handicap assessable by using a door that swing inwards or outwards. Rich and Mike were always respectful, well organized, and their work was impeccable. We were greeted each morning with a smile, and “How are you”?, They acknowledged our dog with a petting. Rich and Mike discussed any concerns we might have, and they offered suggestions to improve the design. They were respectful of our home by making sure that the work area was tidy, both inside and outside, and that our floors were protected with a covering. They used only quality products, and were aware of of our budget constraints. Rich and Mike were consummate professionals.. The bathroom was impeccable and beautiful. Rich (and his brother Mike) did beautiful work, paid attention to details, communicated well about every step, and had a cheery attitude. I don’t do many renovation projects at my house so I was nervous about doing this. Rich put me at ease and gave me good advice when I asked for it. We couldn't be happier with the work done by Virginia Bath Company on our master bathroom remodel! Rich made the whole process really easy for us. He gave us a list of quality vendors he works with for tile, bathroom fixtures etc. We scheduled the project 9 months in advance and he was always super responsive to all of our questions. We appreciated that he was open to us doing some of our own work, and was flexible with little changes we decided on over the 6 months before they started the remodel. We went from considering painting our old vanity, to making new doors, to scrapping it all together and building our own custom vanity. During the project, they were happy to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way, and Rich and Mike always had a very positive attitude. They planned, helped us with our orders, gave us the guidance we needed to make decisions and showed us accomplishments at the end of each work day. Then, they cleaned up before they left, They worked non-stop each day and was always respectful. We are so grateful that we decided to go with them. Of the four estimates we received, Virginia Bath was slightly above the median cost. Confidence in execution and quality of material were the deciding factors in our choosing to go with Rich Sowinski. His estimate provided the most detail. He outlined all the steps he would take from protecting the carpet in our home to expected completion timelines for the various phases of the remodel. He provided extensive information on product options, construction techniques, and responded promptly to all our inquiries. He completed the shower remodel exactly as he promised in the contract. The glass enclosure presented a challenge with a 45 degree wall angle which created a minor delay, but Rich stayed on top of things to the finish. I was most impressed with the quality of the tile and grout work...truly professional!! Rich and his crew were a pleasure to work with and have in our home. Courteous, personable, and conscientious, you could not expect better.

When I wanted my tub shower converted to a safe walk-in shower, I called Rich Sowinski and The Virginia Bath Company. Seven years ago Rich converted our outdated master bathroom in a previously owned house into a beautiful bathroom that we loved. I knew that he would change a tub shower in a small bathroom into a beautiful and safe walk-in shower. Rich brought samples for me to choose from and His suggestion of polished river rock tile for the shower floor was perfect. A fold down teak bench also works well for the small shower area. Everything about the shower including the dual shower heads (one adjustable), two grab bars, and beautiful glass door makes it perfect and safe. Rich is very prompt in responding to questions and providing information and every detail has his attention.

What an exceptional company. It was such a pleasure to work with someone that all they did was remodel baths. Rich Sowinski and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with...from initial estimates thru execution during COVID-19 restrictions. We completely redid three bathrooms, and he started exactly when he said he would...unfortunately about a week before the travel restrictions were established. As expected, it took a little longer than expected, but would have taken much longer if Rich wasn't so dedicated. He worked on the project virtually everyday (they were our COVID buddies), from demolition through completion. They are extremely neat and clean. He worked with his subcontractors (as they were able) to stick with a very defined schedule. His workmanship is first class. Our original decision to choose Rich Sowinski and the Virginia Bath Company was based on the 5-star rating and excellent reviews found on Houzz and on his website. Like many of his past customers have already noted the reviews seemed at first too good to be true especially in this day and age. Our complete bathroom remodel was not going to be cheap and we wanted to make sure we got our money’s worth. And did we ever. My wife and I could not be happier with the end result. Rich and his team of artisans and professionals more than met our expectations. The cabinet maker Tony Casanave of AJC Woodworks worked with us to build a custom made cabinet where the old shower used to be to create much needed functional and yet beautiful storage space. The painter Keith Hartman repainted the vanity rather than replacing it on Rich’s suggestion thus saving us perhaps three thousand. As also noted in the other reviews Rich’s estimates were detailed and very accurate. He was on time and on budget and the project to rebuild our 10 by 10 bathroom from scratch took just two weeks to complete. We did have to wait for the custom made glass shower enclosure to be delivered from Ohio but then again we expected that to happen. A great and even eager communicator, Rich always kept us well informed of the progress. There were no surprises and we grew very fond of him in that short time period. Rich arrived at our home as a contractor and left as a friend. Thank you.

Major master bath renovation. Totally gutted existing bathroom. Added lighting for ceiling and walls along with insulation in wall behind vanity, replaced all plumbing fixtures, floor tiles, and shower tiles. Repaired and painted walls, ceiling, and trim. All material for project supplied by vendors recommended by contractor. I have worked with contractors for over 40 years and this is the best experience I have ever had. The recommended vendors were great to work with and very competitive. We gave Rich the key to the house and left the country on 10/1 and came back on 10/31 to a completed project. The Virginia Bath Company did a beautiful complete remodel of my master bathroom. The remodel consisted of complete demolition and removal of the old bathroom, reframing the new, larger shower, installing new double shower, heated tile floor, tile backsplash, double vanity, toilet, new recessed and vanity lights, painting and trim. Rich did an amazing job on the whole project from start to finish. He is so professional, knowledgeable and is excellent at communicating timelines, requirements and steps along the way. I could not be happier with the job that Virginia Bath did at essentially gutting our 2 full baths and replacing them with high end finishes that maximize the space that we had to work with. The attention to quality installation, detail and schedule were among the best I have seen. Rich is great at the tricky tile cuts and the carpentry was impressive as well. Drop cloths and vacuums were used daily to keep dust and disruption to a minimum, both inside and in the garage and driveway. And for those items that Rich and Mike do not perform themselves, VA Bath has a tight list of subcontractors for making vanities, painting, electrical or similar that adhere to his schedule and quality standards so that not a day is wasted. I would not hesitate to use VA Bath again or to highly recommend to a friend.

We could not be more pleased with our new master bathroom. Every aspect of the finished product exceeded our expectations. We had a complete redo of our master and Rich and his team made it a pleasant and smooth process. We rarely rate anything five stars, but felt The Virginia Bath Company earned that level of praise. Some key points we considered: - Scheduling was always accurate. This included projecting months in advance the approximate start week, keeping to the scheduled workdays and arrival times after the start of the project, and completing the project on schedule. - Pricing was very competitive, allowances accurately projected, and all cost clearly explained. Costs were broken down by each room, payments were clearly scheduled, and most importantly, there were no surprises. - A high level of expertise was exhibited in all aspects of the project. This included the subcontractors (plumbing and electrical) and venders (tile, countertop, and fixtures). All of our questions were quickly and clearly answered and sound advice was offered when we needed to make choices. - The quality of all the work was superior. Everything was as good as or better than that provided by the highly respected builder who originally constructed our house. All work was done right the first time (no do-overs). - The overall professionalism of TVBC was always outstanding. This included day-to-day business practices, care and respect for our property, courtesy, keeping noise and work obstructions to a minimum, cleaning up each day, and ensuring even small details received proper attention. Everyone seemed to have the same motto: make or do everything better than the customer expects it to be. In summary, when we selected TVBC we felt we had chosen a very good company. After the project was over we felt even better about our decision. We are extremely pleased with all the work they did and how they went about doing it.

Gosh, where to start? I have so many good things to say about Rich (Virginia Bath Company) and his crew! You can forget all the stereotypical notions you've heard (or experienced) with contractors, Rich is an anomaly in his business in the best possible way! He knows his trade like the back of his hand, and the quality of his work is outstanding. He is very conscientious, uses quality materials, and has his timelines dialed to a T, he is truly a master of his craft. I called all of the references he gave me and heard the same thing over and over, he does fantastic work. On time, on budget. And I'll say to you what I heard most from his other clients - if you hire Rich, you won't regret it. And I agree 150%. Rich did a (large) master bathroom remodel for us in May 2018. His quote was detailed and accurate, he started on time (actually a day earlier!) and finished on time. He personally was on the job every single day. He and his crew arrived on time every morning, put up protective barriers, and cleaned up every afternoon. Rich is very personable, easy to work with, and always kept us up to date with where things were. Very prompt to respond to emails, phone calls and texts when I had questions. I especially appreciated his ability to grasp "my vision" of how I wanted the MBA to look and make suggestions with the selection of the tile, granite, cabinets and accessories. We decided to do a complete remodel of our master bathroom and contracted with Virginia Bath Company (Rich Sowinski) for the job. We couldn’t be more pleased with the way things worked out. We can summarize our experience in “4 C’s.” Communication: Rich was unfailingly responsive. Email and text messages were his primary media, which suited us well (avoiding phone tag). The terms of the contract were precise and explicit. Once the job began, Rich started each day by telling us what he would be doing. We never felt in the dark about any aspect of the work. Courtesy: Given the expected disruption and inconvenience of this kind of project, the personalities of the people doing the work can make things easier or more difficult. Rich and all of his associates were unfailingly polite and pleasant. This seriously lessened the disruption in our lives while the work was being done. In fact, we began to look forward to Rich’s appearance each morning to brief us on the day’s work in his extremely cheerful and positive manner. Coordination: Since this was a complete remodel, the job involved Rich and his assistant, a cabinet maker for the new vanity, a plumber, an electrician, a painter, the people who built and installed the glass door for the shower, and the people who installed the new countertop. Every single one of these did their appointed job on the exact date promised by Rich; there was not a single exception. This speaks volumes about the relationship Rich has with his subcontractors. Craftsmanship: The new bathroom looks great. We do not have a single complaint with the quality of the workmanship (and we have looked over the final result very carefully). Overall, we recommend Virginia Bath Company without reservation. They provided, by far, the best experience we have had with serious work on our house.

We hired Virginia Bath Company to do a full renovation of our master bathroom (Oct 2018) and they knocked it out of the park! From consultation through completion, everything exceeded our expectations. This was no small job – they ripped out the old floor, shower stall, tub, toilet, vanity, removed the wallpaper, and installed a custom walk in tiled shower, tile floor, new vanity, and new shelving – but somehow, they made it look easy. The Virginia Bath Company and Rich Sowinski and his business partner Mike...where do I start? Awesome...professional...polite...responsible...experienced...quality...on time as scheduled...just a few words to describe one of the BEST experiences we've had with ANY remodeler! Rich was referred to us by our kitchen remodeler to complete the backsplash tile work. They did such a great job that we asked them to add a half wall of tile to our guest bathroom that was remodeled just 2 years ago from a major competitor in this area. Though the tile work on the floor was done to code, they used an underlayment which, upon further inspection, had already begun to crack along grout lines!!! Rich and Mike had to tear out the old floor, order new floor tiles, and installed 1/2" cement board with thin set mortar and screws. They relaid the floor and completed the half wall we wanted (see photos). We highly recommend The Virginia Bath Company for any and all tile work. They are very busy, so schedule your job way in advance to get Rich and Mike on the calendar!

We took our time and did a thorough search of contractors. We are pleased to say that Rich Sowinski provided the service that most people only dream of having. We recently (March 2018) hired the Virginia Bath Company to remodel and update our master bathroom. We had the existing shower, toilet, floors, vanity top and sink replaced and upgraded. Rich Sowinski and his company did an amazing job from start to finish. They kept to the deadline and budget. Rich and his team did an incredible job on our bathroom! Our old shower was leaking, so we decided to do a remodel and create a much larger shower. From providing the quote through the completion of the project, Rich was honest and very easy to work with. He was always willing to answer our questions and help us make decisions. When they started the work, they showed up promptly at 7am each day and got right to work. We were amazed at the care they took to make sure everything was exactly right and how much they were able to accomplish each day. I'm very confident we won't be dealing with any leaks from this shower. And it looks amazing!

Highest recommendation. I distrust in-house contractors of any sort given past experiences. Both my master and guest bathrooms, 10 years old, had issues (cosmetic grout and dysfunctional hot water valve, respectively), and I had been looking intermittently for over a year for a good recommendation or whose reviews instilled trust. I stopped looking when I found this company, and have been off the scale of pleased with every aspect. Rich is intelligent, good-natured, and aware of what customers are looking for in terms of communication, consideration, neatness, to name but a few qualities. He blew me away during the estimate process. While sizing up the hot water regulation issues in the guest shower, he listened carefully, said things did not add up (we had had another plumber replace the standard part but not only did it still not work, but the faceplate would not seat properly, and we were told that major invasive work was needed), got a screwdriver to uncover everything and take a look for himself. After a brief investigation, he knew exactly what was wrong, easily fixed without any demolition. We proceeded with that and the regrouting of the master shower and oh such pleasure in the process and results. Every interaction was done with ease and grace. I never felt that my small job did not matter. What else can I say.

Rich and his crew at a Virginia Bath Company did an excellent job converting my shower to jacuzzi style bath and shower. His estimate was fair and the work is absolutely beautiful. The crew came to work on time, prepped the work area and worked efficiently. Rich made a point of explaining all he would do each day and then gave a wrap up each day of what they accomplished. They then cleaned the work area thoroughly before leaving each day. We were very pleased with the remodel and are enjoying a wonderful new bath. Stellar company. Quality workmanship. Professional in every way, showing care in each phase of the remodeling of my 1984 style master bathroom. Easy communication throughout the project from start to finish which entailed demolition of old tile and fixtures. Rich Sowinski understood the new design I wished to achieve. The fiberglass cocoon shower was removed and the area enlarged for an easy walk-in with tile from floor to ceiling. Double glass doors 8ft tall were installed with a high-end rain shower/waterfall/massage shower head. The old Jacuzzi was removed and an Ultra Bain Air Bath with waterfall filler and LED lighting was installed. The overall design is beautiful and inviting. A flat screen TV with DVD player was mounted in a wall for easy viewing. Appx cost of the remodeling was $30,000. The schedule was adhered to and remodeling completed on time.

Rich and his crew were extremely efficient, professional and personable. They completed the job before the deadline, within budget and the finished product exceeded our expectations. He renovated two of our bathrooms simultaneously, replacing the original fiberglass tub with custom tile showers. The crew is exceptionally clean - laying dropcloths throughout the area and constantly vacuuming.

We live in Pennsylvania, but wanted to upgrade the 2 1/2 bathrooms in our second home in Williamsburg, VA. We were Very pleased with Rich and his company. When our house was built ten years ago, we had a leak under master bath. Builder sent a tile person who tore it up and supposedly "fixed" the problem. Again, another leak. We contacted The Virginia Bath Company and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Rich was prompt in getting back with us and was able to start the job earlier than expected. Rich is amazing! We have a number of projects to complete in the "fixer upper" we purchased 2 years ago. Rich is far and above the best contractor we have worked with to date. Rich arrived on his appointed time to provide us with an estimate. He was able to be flexible and preform the work when we were out of town. He updated me via text message every day showing their progress for that day. And even alerting me that the power was off at our house one day due to a storm. Rich replaced an old steam shower with a new tile shower in my elderly mother's room. My mother loves her new shower.

Based on a recommendation from our neighbor, my wife and I hired Rich and his team (Mike & Jeff) to remove and replace the grout in our 19 year old shower. They arrived on time, put down tarps to protect our floors, removed all of the old grout, installed new grout, cleaned up well, and voila.....it looked new again in one day’s time! I honestly can't say enough about how professional, timely, gracious, and hard working Rich and his team were! I have built several homes and renovated another and would rate him as my top choice! As with our previous experience, Rich laid out for us the planned work and then executed the work expertly. The crew was careful to protect floors, furniture, and appliances in the traffic areas. Each day the crew arrived promptly; they were always friendly and polite. Rich did a great job communicating with us on what to expect. When we had questions, he was quick to respond. This go-round the work involved changing the footprint of the bathroom and required moving plumbing and electrical connections. Rich did an excellent job helping us merge our desires with best design practices and we are extremely pleased with our new bathroom!

All I can say is that the work done was GREAT! From the first contact with Rich Sowinski I knew we were in good hands. He was very responsive, prompt with emails, phone calls and quotes. Rich and his crew did a complete renovation of our bathroom. The shower/tub area was a one piece prefab unit & we had it converted to a tiled travertine shower with granite bench & glass doors. The plumbing changes included the addition of a ceiling mounted rainshower head, fixed shower head & slide bar hand held shower. The plumbing & shower diverter was moved to the opposite wall as per Rich's suggestion. The existing floor was demo'd and replaced with travertine tiles. New toilet, sink, towel bars & accessories installed. During the planning stage, Rich was very knowledgable and kept me on track with outside vendors and our timeline. He was always accessible & patient answering my many questions. During the construction process he and his crew arrived on time and worked in a professional manner. They are ALWAYS cheerful and clearly enjoy their work. They protected all areas of our home leading to the construction area and made sure these areas were clean when they left at the end of the day. They would also assure that the worksite was left neat and clean daily. Once I selected my materials they took over coordinating everything with the vendors. We are extremely happy with the high quality of the workmanship. The whole team took great pride in doing exacting work. They are perfectionists. The bathroom has exceeded our expectations! We have already scheduled them to do our master bath next fall. Rich has followed up to make sure we're happy with everything. We do have one BIG complaint though: They're not available to perform more extensive renovations. They make everyone else look bad!

We interviewed four bath remodelers before choosing Virginia Bath. We selected Virginia Bath because Rich understood our requirements and how picky we were. He was the only remodeler that offered the shower floor system we wanted without having to cut the floor joists. We could not be happier with the end result. My two main must haves were a curbless, glassless walk-in shower and separate vanities. My husband wanted a tub. Rich, Mike, and Jeff were so nice and professional. They showed up on time every day. At the end of each day, Rich gave us the plan for the next day. They also completely cleaned up at the end of each day which was important to me because I have allergies to dust and fumes. Our new modern bathroom is beyond even our highest expectations! Rich responded to every question and any changes we wanted through the entire process promptly. The project was on budget and on time. We also had a terminally ill dog during this time and they gave her love and attention. She died during this timeframe and they made sure to give our other dog lots of love to help him get through the loss of his sibling. Awesome company and wonderful people. After a disappointing installation of a shower, in place of an existing tub/shower combination, The Virginia Bath Company came to my rescue. The first shower replacement had to be completely removed, back to the studs, before Rich Sowinski and his crew could begin working their magic. They are wonderful! Everything happened just the way Rich said it would and on the time line that he had laid out in the beginning. I never knew that construction could be so hassle free. Master Bath Shower Remodel - demo/remove existing shower, replace plumbing, install new tile and frameless glass enclosure. Of the four estimates we received, Virginia Bath was slightly above the median cost. Confidence in execution and quality of material were the deciding factors in our choosing to go with Rich Sowinski. His estimate provided the most detail. He outlined all the steps he would take from protecting the carpet in our home to expected completion timelines for the various phases of the remodel. He provided extensive information on product options, construction techniques, and responded promptly to all our inquiries. He completed the shower remodel exactly as he promised in the contract. The glass enclosure presented a challenge with a 45 degree wall angle which created a minor delay, but Rich stayed on top of things to the finish. I was most impressed with the quality of the tile and grout work...truly professional!! Rich and his crew were a pleasure to work with and have in our home. Courteous, personable, and conscientious, you could not expect better.

The project was done with the highest quality of work down to the smallest detail and it was started and finished right on schedule. There were no unpleasant "surprises" or problems and the bathroom turned out exactly as I wanted. They cleaned up everyday and were careful to protect all of the floors, carpets and furniture inside the house and outside there was little to no evidence of them having been there each day. They were very polite and respectful to both me and my neighbors and I was completely comfortable leaving them to work in the house while I was at work.
