Had to fire another contractor and luckily Steve came in and fixed everything that had been done wrong. Full basement reno with lots of issues was no big deal for this team!

Steve and his contractors were easy to work with and did a fantastic job on my 3 bathrooms and laundry room. The price quoted was only adjusted for items out of Steve's control. I still can't believe these are my bathrooms - they exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to remodel any room in your house.

Steve Thompson and his team ( Especially Jake ) were extremely professional from start to finish. They arrived promptly and worked never stopping for a break or lunch. Thompson did a large scale renovation - kitchen and playroom addition, two bathrooms, new stairs, floors, patio and more - with attention to detail and great craftsmanship. The team, especially the demo crew and painters, were excellent and left our house as clean as possible every night. Although the renovation took longer than expected we are very happy with the outcome and receive so many compliments from guests as the high quality work is noticeable by all.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Although I have worked for Thompson Remodeling & Contracting in the past, I was not employed by them when this project occurred, nor did I actively participate in the project as described below. I was my own electrical subcontractor on this project, but otherwise my entire role was typical of a homeowner's hiring a contractor. In my opinion, this makes me a better, more critical and more informed customer. The first major project the Thompson team performed was a comprehensive renovation of my Tewksbury NJ townhome from March until July of 2015, just after the purchase. Steve, his team and his sub-contractors renovated almost every room in the house. Notably, the project included a complete master bath redesign, the conversion of a two-story family room into a traditional family room beneath a new 280 sq ft finished office / bonus room and a modest kitchen renovation. Following a tidy demolition, Thompson replaced every internal door and upgraded to a wider, more luxurious molding throughout ( including 6 rooms with crown molding ). Tile and bamboo flooring were added throughout the first floor. Every closet was re-engineered. In the midst of all this, we converted from oil to gas. Steve's sub-contractors handling architecture/engineering, plumbing, HVAC, tile, bamboo flooring, sheetrock prep, painting and shower door installation were all excellent. The overall project was well managed, well executed and well communicated. Budget was respected. Expectations were effectively managed. I always knew who would be at my house EVERY day and what their scope of work would be that day. We ambitiously hoped to avoid rent offsite for the month of July; we moved in July 5. Although my wife and I did not live on site, the home was cleaned and materials / tools were organized...every single night. The project was an unqualified success by all metrics. We could not have asked for a better result.

I highly recommend Steve. It has been four years since Steve managed a gut renovation in my home. The project included an entire new first-floor layout, a small addition to expand the brand-new kitchen, a new powder room, a relocation of the laundry room to the second floor, installing and matching a new hardwood floor to the existing floor, and building a new staircase to our basement. This was a massive project; he updated nearly every part of my home. His work was impeccable and he made my home look stunning. It still looks flawless after four years (and two young kids). Every cabinet is perfectly squared and I have yet to find any flaws in even the tiniest details. He is a perfectionist. He is trustworthy and fair. And he did all this while staying on budget.
