Transolid

I got a $1300 soft close transolid shower door from Lowe's, and I'm going out of my way to post a review here to warn others not to make the same mistake I did and waste money. The whole point of us splurging $1300 for this door is the soft close feature as we have young children so it's important to us for safety reasons. If you are thinking along this same line of thinking, don't bother: We had 1 side's soft close broke on us 2 weeks into use. I reached out to Transolid and they ignored me. What triggered this post is that this week, less than a year after installing this door, the second glass door's soft close latch broke as well despite us being extra careful since 1 door already broke. Both sides failed the same way - the hook is supposed to latch when you open the door, so that the next time you close it it will catch the door and gently slide close. That hooks do not stay at the right place when the doors are open anymore. Because both doors failed the same way, it's clear that that particular part is crappily made. I can't believe how much we spent on this and how shoddily made this is, and how horrible this company is to ignore their customers when clearly their product is faulty. Stay away from them.

Great product. Got the shower walls, saved tons of time. Super easy install and great instructions. Install went smoothly.

Miserable customer service. 1st one came broken but fixable with additional epoxy which I requested. Took days but finally got through to some big wig named Chick. After stating I would return panels if I didn't get a reply, finally get a reply that additional epoxy would be sent. After weeks without a bathroom I start install process and shower panels are completely mismatched. Return product, wait weeks and 2nd one comes in with chipped corners. Again return product, wait continues, 3rd shower panel comes in with a mangled box with panels clearly broken in two. I've sent Chick multiple msgs without a single reply. It's been 2 months without a bathroom and we're going with tile. I would not recommend this company since they clearly do not care about their customer. I've been very patient but they haven't reached out to me at all with a solution. I strongly urge you to spend your money elsewhere.
