When we first spoke to Barbara all we really knew was that we needed to renovate our kitchen and our main bathroom. We wanted to modernize it without losing the older home aesthetic. Due to her extensive design experience, Barbara was able to walk through our home and identify multiple options for us to consider and worked closely with us in coming up with the final design. However, that was just the beginning. Since we had never done any major renovation to our home, we weren’t aware of the number of decisions that still had to be made about flooring, tiles appliances, etc. Barbara was there for us guiding us through the whole process and educating us at every step along the way – always responding quickly to our questions and concerns. We are delighted with the updates to our home and know that they were made possible, in no small way, by Barbara’s design insight, knowledge and patience.

After working with her on a huge kitchen redesign + powder room refresh, I knew I needed Barbara again when we decided to add a new full bathroom to our home. Barbara's patience in helping me figure out what our desired aesthetic was, trips to multiple tile stores, and her guidance in choosing all the fixtures was critical to the success of this job. She even coordinated design with my interior decorator who was simultaneously redesigning our den are to ensure cohesion across all spaces. Her maniacal attention to detail, extremely fast response time, and ability to roll with various unexpected issues along the way made me feel confident my project was in good hands. Our GC was able to execute on a very meticulous, detailed plan that Barbara created. She truly cares about her work and her clients, and it shows. Barbara of Vesta Kitchen and Bath took on my kitchen design after a mishap with the first company that was recommended to me. She is the consummate professional and I consider myself extremely lucky to have found her. I had tight time constraints and she sprang into action and made things happen. She is a talented designer and a creative problem solver. She is intuitive to her clients needs, anticipating and responding to my questions and concerns quickly and sensitively. Although trained as an architect, I used Barbara of Vesta Kitchen and Bath to renovate a small, but problematic kitchen in my daughter's apartment because I have never dealt with co-op boards and just didn't have the time! Barbara was thoughtful, professional, and most importantly, always available. Her detailed knowledge of co-op intricacies, plumbing, electrics, DOB, and anything to do with building is beyond extensive. Her taste is impeccable and no job is too small or too complicated to tackle. She loves her job and it shows. I would definitely use her again, and you won't be sorry you hired her!

We only had a vague vision of what we wanted to do with our kitchen, including expanding and upgrading it. Barbara really helped bring this idea to life—she quickly figured out our style and aesthetic and provided realistic advice on what we could and could not do. She helped at every step of the process from brainstorming and planning, to providing suggestions for materials and vendors, to overseeing the contractor's work and helping assure quality on the job site. Vesta Kitchen and Bath designed and along with JS Custom Contracting and installed a new kitchen alcove in the one bedroom garden apartment in my home. They also prepped the entire apartment and did several additional jobs in the unit which I had not originally thought of and, to our great surprise, did all for the originally agreed upon price. Barbara was very responsive and fun to work with, Jose a great contractor, and his workers very pleasant and friendly to have in our house.

Barbara helped us do a gut renovation of our townhouse in Brooklyn. Her guidance and creativity on our kitchen, master bathroom, kids’ bathrooms and other parts of our house have really made it our dream house and one of a kind. She was easy to work with, listened to our input and also pushed us to consider new design elements which turned out great. We would highly recommend her.
