Wow! What a great experience. From my initial phone conversation with Molly to the end of the project I was very satisfied. Mike & Molly spent quality time with me walking me through the entire process and what to expect. They are professional and detailed but they are also very funny and I enjoyed being around them. The Trades they used to perform the work were also equally professional. The work they performed was beautiful. And, they were very respectful of my home. It was kept clean and neat the entire time. I lived in the house while the work was being completed. I had no issues at all. I will be using Virtuoso Builders again and I highly recommend.

Molly and Mike are the best! My kitchen and laundry renovation/add on was a big project, and I'm so thankful I found them and hired them. Their team of professionals kept us on schedule and my budget was always in my control. I appreciated the separation of construction and home space, so that my home space was not impacted by construction dust. It also gave me piece of mind during COVID, and I appreciated their team's attention to keeping everyone safe and healthy. As always with an older home project we a few surprises, but not too many, and their creative, practical solutions meant I didn't have to worry about much. I absolutely love my new space, with beautiful, quality cabinets, tile and appliances, and wonderful new lighting. Virtuoso brought my 1970s kitchen into the modern era, while keeping what I think is charming about the original style.

Virtuoso Builders were recommended to us by our real estate broker as he had seen their work and was impressed. After interviewing 5 other contractors we went with Mike and Molly(Virtuoso Builders). We had them remodel our Master Bathroom . They did an outstanding job and so we had them also do our guest bathroom and complete Kitchen remodel. I had a family member use them for a bathroom remodel and you know if you recommend to family it better be good. It was. Their whole crew were professional, friendly and clean. Joe, their foreman,was in constant contact with us on a daily basis. Molly, one of the co-owners and artistic director was invaluable in helping us decide what to choose whenever a question arose. Mike, the other co-owner, made all of our desires materialize into reality.

We had no experience with remodeling and was overwhelmed by the process. Like others, we had a great experience with Mike and Molly. Right from the beginning, we have a good feeling about them because they started the conversation by finding out what our goals for the project were. Joe, the project manager was onsite frequently. They answered the numerous questions we had; and kept track on things that need to be done. Great communication throughout; and inquiries were answered in timely manner. Mike and Molly worked miracles with our renovation job, and consistently followed up to make sure that our project was completed perfectly and timely. In fact, they delivered the finished work several weeks ahead, when we asked to be able to move back in earlier than expected. When my wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen/living room, we knew it would be a very big decision. Like most people, we had heard several horror stories about hidden costs, contractors not showing up at the worksite and difficulties with keeping to promised schedules. I can say from the first time that we met Mike and Molly until the day the project was completed - that it was a truly pleasant experience from start to finish. We had several other quotes that were fairly basic and not detail oriented. Mike & Molly had a large 3 ring binder at our first sit down meeting (after our initial visit) with every cost outlined and explained. Allowances were clearly stated and the level of detail was tremendous. This provided a great roadmap for us to follow during the entire remodel. During the process, it was very easy to communicate with the team and the Site Managers. All questions and concerns were addressed promptly and honestly. The best part was that our questions and somewhat frequent change orders during the process were supported with what we felt was a genuine regard to support our decisions (even though my wife and I were novices in this process) That really created a level of comfort and trust that we think is so important for a decision this big. In summary, my wife and I couldn't have been happier with the entire remodel and would recommend Virtuoso Builders with no reservations!

The project lasted approximately 4 months. The company and the various trade groups were excellent. All parties were courteous, knowledgeable and the work done was beautiful. The work area was left clean and materials organized neatly after each working day. When changes needed to be made (delivery, show up time of workers, etc..), I was notified ahead of time.

Virtuoso Builders was recommended to us by a family member for a unique project on our property. We wanted to build some sort of entertainment structure on a 15 ft by 60 ft concrete slab that was previously a batting cage. Owners Mike and Molly and their architect, Jim Gunn, helped design an indoor/outdoor structure including an outdoor fireplace/patio and outdoor summer kitchen. Glass garage doors acted as walls for the indoor area. They appreciated our desire to re-purpose cabinets, granite countertop and fridge from an unused bar in our home for the "party barn" and were willing to provide their expert opinions throughout the process. Their team of sub-contractors and crew were trustworthy and very skilled. In addition to the party barn, beautiful landscaping was incorporated to enhance the area. During this time frame, Virtuoso Builders also laid down a beautiful wood floor in the family room where the bar has once stood and remodeled a guest bathroom. The outcomes far exceeded our expectations and we cannot thank them enough for their patience and dedication. Mike and Molly were always professional and meticulous, yet extraordinarily personable and fun people to work with. We wish them much continued success and will definitely recommend and use them again for future projects.

Virtuoso has completed two projects for us, both involving downtown condominium remodel or renovation. One project was a complete redesign & renovation of ~1200 sq ft, restoring an open floor plan to a 2 bedroom home. Mike & Molly (owners) are knowledgeable and skilled at all aspects, technical, business & personal. They managed our project as though it were their only one (it was not), responding like they didn't have a life (they do), and treated this project and life transition (ours) like they were friends (they are, now). The most important thing, ultimately, is how the project ended: in our case, perfectly. We love the results, it is exactly what we envisioned and on our budget. We owe that to Virtuoso. We would absolutely engage them if we were ever to have any additional renovation needs.

The sub contractors were great and the oversight was professional and always present. Enjoyed working with both Mike and Molly and the family like approach (warm and caring). The project took longer than thought but was well worth the wait and turned out better than we expected. This company should be recognized for there integrity and attention to detail. If something went wrong they made it right.

This was a very professional team from the contractor to every crew that was sent to the house to perform work. They were very up front with the timing of the project and how it was going to work as we stayed in the house during the remodel of the kitchen. We are extremely satisfied with the results.

Kudos to Virtuoso Builders! We spent over 6 months away from our home while a major renovation was performed by the Virtuoso team. Our bi-weekly meetings with Mike and Molly Sowry, and Joe Rodriguez, the project manager, helped us to understand each phase’s progress. Each meeting provided us with valuable insight into the process by walking through the house, asking questions, and receiving answers on the spot. Other forms of communication were also used, including text messages, email and good old fashioned phone calls. The renovation of our 1958, ranch style house enabled us to stay in a great neighborhood while bringing it into the 21st century. The transformation included major system updates to plumbing, electrical, ductwork and others. Extensive modifications to the living room, kitchen, dining room and master bedroom were expertly performed by their various craft teams. Performing the renovation, instead of buying a new house on the fringes of the city, allowed us to keep our old house with its large lot, mature trees and great accessibility to places like the airport, downtown and other areas of San Antonio. We are SO happy with the professionalism the Virtuoso team demonstrated during the entire process. They worked to keep the project within its established timeline, and we were able to move back in our home in time for the holiday celebrations for Christmas and New Year’s.

Late in 2015 we decided to finally move forward on interior upgrades throughout our home. We wanted significant updates to our kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and to flooring throughout. During the months of December and January we spent a great deal of time reading online reviews, interviewing remodeling companies, and talking to their previous clients. In our final assessment Virtuoso Builders stood out among others, primarily because of their demonstrated knowledge of project scheduling/management, and their longstanding relationships with various subcontractors.Ours was a two-phase project since we decided to stay in our home during the project. Mike and Molly, along with their entire crew, did everything within reason to respect our privacy and to make all transitions as unobtrusive as possible. We want to emphasize how professional, respectful, and friendly all of their trades were. Mike and Molly have thoroughly vetted and selected companies who have demonstrated skills consistent with their high standards. Without exception we were pleased with the quality and timeliness of scheduled work.We particularly appreciated the project oversight by Mike and his assistant manager, Joe Rodriguez. Our questions and concerns were promptly addressed, and the occasional issue, as would be expected in a project of this size, were resolved to our satisfaction. If we weren't happy, Mike wasn't happy. Bottom line, Virtuoso pBuilders represents the best of the home building/remodeling industry. They participate in a national remodeling consortium which not only assesses/critiques member practices, but also offers recommendations for improvements. In September 2015, we committed to do a complete remodel of our master bathroom/suite/closet. We engaged Virtuoso Builders because this was more then we could manage ourselves because we really did not even have a plan. Virtuoso helped us from Day 1 first to get a new layout, they really helped us think out of the box. Our project took down a load bearing wall, opening up a great space, closed a door, added lighting and moved shower, toilet and sinks and created an unbelievable master bathroom suite. Virtuoso has the highest quality subcontractors and a great vendor list which enabled us to pick the high quality finishes we wanted. The biggest value that Virtuoso Builders brought to our project was total project management. They coordinated all the subcontractors, controlled access to our house, provided the barrier wall and dust wall so we could live in the other side of the house during construction. We started the project Jan 2016 and completed and moved in June 2016. We LOVE our new beautiful master bathroom suite which has the most beautiful wardrobe/closets, walk in shower, hamper pull out and hair dryer pullout with Calcutta marble counters and Justice Design Light fixtures! Virtuoso Builders (Mike & Molly) were in Dallas for a weekend, so they came over to give my husband and I a consultation on what we could do to bring our house into this century! They were professional and realistic. Wish we were in the same city so we could work with them!

When my wife and I decided on a long over due remodel we chose Virtuoso Builders and could not have made a better choice. Mike and Molly worked with us through our color choices and hardware decisions and provided insight they have accrued by experience. Their workmen were competent and skilled and the scheduled steps of completion were met, which was important to us since we were living in the construction site. In the end, we were totally pleased. will not hesitate to use Mike and Molly to do future projects and have come to consider them friends.

I did a complete home remodel on a home built in 1976. Virtuoso Builders were completely professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of the job. They helped me make all of my selections, from floor to ceiling. Mike Sowry, the owner, is a perfectionist, so he won't settle for doing things half way. I was on a tight schedule for the remodel, as my lease was coming to an end on my apartment. They were able to accomplish most of the work under a time crunch. The final projects were completed after I moved in, and I felt very safe leaving the workers in my home while I was at work.

Virtuoso Builders was hired for a whole house remodel including kitchen, bathroom, flooring, and roof. The house was in poor condition and in desperate need of repairs. All in all the transformation Virtuoso did was remarkable!! Being that this was my first venture into remodeling, needless to say I was tentative and hesitant at the start. However, Mike and Molly are a proven “A” team and made the entire experience both gratifying and exciting. In summary, the main reasons for choosing Virtuoso were their professionalism, communication, overall interest in the project, responsiveness, and commitment. The house is small with only three bedrooms, but Mike and Molly (and their team) behaved as if it were a mansion! Last but not least, they held true to their word.

Virtuoso Builders remodel my 37 year old kitchen. It was a complete demo of the existing kitchen and an all new one. From start to finish it took 9 weeks, which seemed long to me but it was first experience with Remodeling. The end result is a FABULOUS kitchen that appears to be so much bigger than before.

I can't believe it has been three years ago since we worked with Mike and Molly Sowry who own Virtuoso Builders on a major kitchen and house remodel. We did a request for proposals with the help of our Architect, Alonzo Alston before choosing Virtuoso Builders for the project. This was by far the most extensive project we had ever undertaken and we really liked Virtuoso's business model. We outlined all costs and settled on a fixed price that would only vary if we had additional change orders. Virtuoso handled the entire remodel. They tore out and rebuilt our entire kitchen, doubling the working space without additional additional square footage to the house. They installed Ikea cabinets, Caesarstone countertops, glass tile and much more. They raised ceilings, moved ductwork, raised the level of the floor in one area of the house and installed a custom cabinet. The work is beautiful and functional both. One of my many favorites is a heavy duty pocket door they installed that blocks an unsightly view and noise from my laundry room. Someone else had told me this was a big deal to install and Mike made it look easy! Because of their many years of experience they also brought that expertise to the job with great suggestions along the way. I would work with Virtuose again and would recommend them for a custom remodel or a whole house.

We needed an urgent garage repair. They showed up on time and their availability to answer my questions and visit the work progress was unbeatable. Their pricing was fair and the job performed on time and as scheduled. We enjoyed working with mike & molly.

We had an extremely positive experience with Virtuoso Builders and I would use them again without any hesitation. Our project entailed creating a second story media room from a large high ceilinged family room. We also had a new full bathroom created out of an existing closet and had various other custom cabinets and touches done in other parts of the house. From the beginning of the project, Mike and Molly Sowry were very professional and detail oriented. They explained how they worked very clearly at the initial meeting and were very hands on through the entire process. I appreciated the design element of the company because it spared me the time and effort of having to hire an architect on my own. Because Mike and Molly worked closely with the architect, it created a very efficient process in getting the plans together and keeping the project within budget. Molly also had great design ideas and would send me lots of pictures and website ideas of things they could do based on my preferences. This made the experience feel like one stop shopping which saved me time. I felt very comfortable throughout the project as I observed Miike Sowry at the house managing all elements of the project. I also was pleased to see the professional level of each subcontractor that was brought onto the job. Both Mike and Molly were very friendly to work with and I especially appreciated their responsiveness to our questions, emails, etc. Throughout the project, I could always reach Mike and he was very quick in getting back to me with resolution/answers to any issues or questions we had. We had never done a renovation before so we were pleasantly surprised on how smooth the process was. The pricing was very clear and given the time taken in developing a detailed estimate, there were no surprises. Our project recently completed and we are very happy with the result. We hired Virtuoso Builders for a renovation of our main living area, kitchen and study. This included laying down a stone floor, completely renovating the kitchen (all new cabinets, appliances, and marble counter top), new molding and painting all walls. In addition, there were too many other smaller items to mention in detail (widening room entries, new ceiling fans, moving an A/C unit, etc.). Virtuoso obviously works hard at using and keeping the best sub-contractors, for all work was of uniformly excellent quality and Mike made it happen in a timely fashion. He always ensured that we stayed on budget, to the point that I was sometimes a little annoyed at first. But I quickly realized how important this was to ensure the job’s success, and maintain our relationship with Virtuoso. There are many contractors available in this market, and to be honest, Virtuoso is more expensive than most of them. However, when having work done on our home, and the choice is between quality and a cheaper price, we will choose quality every time. I do not have any regrets regarding having used Virtuoso and will definitely be using them on the upcoming renovation of the remainder of our house.

At their suggestion, we broke our larger remodel project into phases that fit our budget and priorities. Every step of our project was clearly explained and the few delays that any construction project will have, were anticipated in the time span for completion that we had discussed.
